As the production had erroneously assumed that Hillary Clinton would be a shoo-in, a second version was shot with Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) staring incredulously at her TV screen as the announcement that Donald J. Trump had become the 45th U.S. President.

Unlike its prequel The Good Wife (2009), this series from "CBS All Access" provides ample "premium sensibility" in that the F-word and partial nudity is permissible where appropriate.

The 'southern France' sequences were actually filmed on Long Island during the month of January.
