In the first case a couple has been married for 8 months and neighbours tell police they look like they love each other. When the husband comes home the wife comes out to kiss and hug him. In a park nearby known as a teen hangout to get alone time for couples, the wife is found by a police officer shot dead in her car with the window down despite it being cold. The 26-year old man who killed his 29-year-old wife gets 30 years in prison.
In the second case a woman from Costa Rica is killed by a black man. They worked together as cooks in a restaurant and the man is actually married. He tries to break things off when they go for a walk but the woman reacts badly. He gets angry and takes out his knife to repeatedly stab her. He gets life in prison.
