Left me on the edge of my seat, even with having to read the subtitles. I enjoyed every episode! Watched season 2 on Acorn- worth every penny!! The female characters were flushed out and well defined, warts and all! It was so refreshing.
Seemed like the French have an administrative section for everything!

Even though I don't understand French, I was able use subtitles. I just wish I could find Series 2 to watch the rest of it!

... some shows no matter how good just don't make it past first couple seasons for whatever reasons... 'On va s'aimer un peu, beaucoup' is another that should have gone to a season three and more... it was entertaining, well-written-acted-produced, and from the set up at the end of season two after sixteen episodes was looking like there was supposed to be more
... family law shows when done right are some of the best offerings onscreen today... this one was, both sides of storylines handled-scripted-acted exceptionally well... as good as 'The Split' or 'Suits' (that ran for one-hundred-thirty-four episodes)
... whateverfor ended, was a loss.

This is the usual lawyer family drama, but done French style. It is replete with all the things held dear by the French, marital infidelity, everyone being someone's "Maitresse", lots of sex, smoking, and everything in life is about food and wine! There are the usual outbursts of shouting, and histrionic behavior, and everyone seems to be either in a state of being "fragile" or "en choque" after every life event! It's entertaining for what it is, a glimpse into French culture, and also useful for learning the language!
