    Warning: Spoilers
Worst of the Tony Award shows I have seen. While the play sequences shown were entertaining to watch, that opening monologue by Kevin Spacey was absolutely ridiculous.

I found the show to be quite boring and I also found myself going off to sleep on occasion.

Cynthia Nixon and Sally Field should stop with the anti-Trump nonsense already. While I didn't vote for the president, enough is enough already.

Bette Midler didn't know when to get off and how many times did she have to say I just want to say, I just want to say? Her definition of revival was way over the top.
  • What I always loved about the Tony Awards is the entertainment of displaying various musical performances. The Tony Awards is usually about the Broadway season. Sadly there was no exciting musical except Bette Midler in "Hello, Dolly!," and she won a Tony award for it. Unfortunately Bette didn't perform but presented one. I watched the show and was saddened by the season overall. Broadway tickets are too expensive for me and most people. Usually the Tony Awards have a cornucopia of plays and musicals. Kevin Spacey did a fine job in hosting and performing in the show. Last year was all about Hamilton. This year had five American playwrights nominating for new play. Playwrights introduced their plays. The Tonys usually showcase the best of the season which wasn't very much anyway.
