I often try to catch the smaller independent releases that preview in town. Supporting independent film makers is important to the industry and the local economy, especially since the big Hollywood productions often disappoint. This film was moving and intense, but definitely has some violence not suitable for a young crowd. Overall, the story is compelling, and the film makers did a good job telling the story. The lead character was well cast, and can be seen in another military type drama previewing in the area. He was very well cast and was able to push the limits during the intense violent scenes, but able to dial it way back for the emotional ones...amazing range for an actor. I expect to see a lot more work out of him. Check it out on Netflix.
