  • A composer, a producer and a top quality singer as judges and who know what they are listening and what they are talking about. No sob stories. No background info. No bigjumbomumbojumbo on how they helped/mentored the contestants and no other BS. Just pure music. Only thing that gets listened, produced, sung, discussed, experienced is just pure music. Its a visual treat. Its a feast to ears. Attitude, performance, actually very good tracks with high level production values. Show assumes that the average watcher of this show is not an amateur listener. They don't explain the music, which I absolutely love. They go on with producing good content and nothing but good content.

Just watch it if you havent already. Use a hi-fi headphones if you can. Or at least some Bose NCs. Dont watch it on tv speakers. If thats all you can, dont watch it at all.
  • The Concept Of This Show Will Be a revolution in bollywood music. It covers a lot of genres of music and a lot of fusion and creativity and some bomb Electronic Music Produced Tracks With Indian Singing. A Complete Package For Music Lovers. There are also some twists and some surprises for Viewers. I recommend Watching this show for sure!
  • Well there are mixed reviews I see. For me personally this show is a total different take on music we have heard until now. Singing is cool & composition is awesome. Expecting more such shows from Amazon in India. BTW, I expect you to have a decent pair of headset to see it throught the judges eyes, or should I say hear it.
  • There is no show like this, the way they produce the track and a completely different version to the very well known tracks. Fantastic production to the song. The first episode could have been better but they have improved a lot since then. An awesome awesome series.
  • To be very honest, I had a decent amount of expectations from this show. But it hasn't delivered, not enough.

The main thing that I felt throughout the episodes was cringe. Too much cheering, unnecessary hand movements (from the hip-hop culture) and no coherence between what was sung and the DJ mix in the background. You could well believe they were just stamped together without even making a decent impact. That has to be the worst part.

Not everything has to be about impersonating dance shows, the focus should have been more on singing the right notes instead of dancing and the spectacle. With which I come to my next point, despite being so off beat in it's approach, it still catered to the mainstream music.

The concept has been great, but if It had moved on to other genres given it was not released on national television, it had a good chance to really make a difference. One thing to note though is, if you're into stuff by Nucleya and the likes, then you might enjoy the show, because for others who want to see really different stuff (some slow music like downtempo, future, chillstep, not EDM or Glitch Hop, beats that aren't repetitive) which matches lyrics and music to a different extent would sure be disappointed.

P.S. Suniti's hairstyle is cute haha
  • The pairs comprise of a DJ and a singer who revamp a Bollywood song, change the theme and provide an international spin. Small own party in the living room with some kick ass performances but occasionally bad singing. Look of the show is awesome - great production work.
  • And they reason is that they are really bad!! I tried listening to a few songs in episode 1, and frankly speaking I could not tolerate any after a minute or so.. so I kept skipping to the next one for 4-5 songs in the hope that someone would do something that would sound good, but nothing at all!! I don't care if they do EDM or scratching very well, if the final product does not sound good, then even potentially good components get wasted. Here the singers are terrible, and the music is way too cluttered. I have nothing against a good remix (If I had, I would not have watched the show at all). But these are simply terrible remixes. Just cluttering the music up does not make it good, making a good music heavy song is a skill that these guys do not possess. And Amit Trivedi and Sunidhi Chauhan lok like they are forced to give good comments even at bad performances.
  • I hate old style singing with original music.. it's completely new idea and technic and it's futuristic.. yes it's futuristic for India were people don't know house electro and EDM music...
  • Warning: Spoilers
The show was off to a very promising start - pair a singer with a producer/composer and they show off their skills - breaking down popular songs and preset compositions to come up with something new.

A lot of people complained that the show should have allowed flexibility to showcase non-Indian music. I think this would have made sense for a global audience, but for Indian audience it is easier to relate/appreciate creativity when you already know the original songs.

The show has gone downhill pretty fast though and the main reason is poor singers. A few of the composers have done some good work - Kiran, Kryll, Skip, Akhil and NSG shine through. And two of the above have been kicked off the show in the first half ! NSG is saddled with the most pathetic singer of the lot - Thomson can't get through a song without messing up his notes or octaves. Kryll/Rahul and Skip/Akasa are the only reason I'm still watching the show. They day they are gone the ratings goes to 1 for me.

The remaining DJs are a mixed bag - the worst of the lot, Naved keeps gurgling up bass heavy crap that we've been listening to since the 90's, riding on Rupali's singing. The judges seem to be holding back, either all pro or all negative for a performance and the eliminations don't match up to their comments.

Promising concept but the execution is very poor.
  • There have been highs and lows throughout the season but the finalé episode just nailed it!
  • A must watch show for music lovers.

Cool host. Honest and genuine judges. Amazing talented participants. And the mixes on the show will blow your mind. Make sure pump the volume on!
  • The show got better as it progressed. Some really high quality remixes seen. My favourite was Tu chahiye in episode 9 by Sreerama and Candice . A really brilliant use of South Indian style...

Look forward to the next season...
  • You guys sucks. I couldn't handle the torture to my ears more then 5 minutes,
  • If you removed the forced/fake audience noise/cheering that has been inserted all over the performances, allowed some of the remixes to not necessarily be EDM/Bass heavy concepts, allowed some non hindi songs into the mix, then this might actually have been a fresh new music show.

As it is, however this feels very formulaic. Take a bollywood song, add some beats to it. Add a bass drop in the middle. Choose an EDM subgenre of your choice for the music after the drop. And that's almost all the remixes in "The Remix".

There were definitely a few mixes which were good. But it could have been so much better.

Watch this show! It's nothing that's ever been on world television. Take it from me, I watch almost all successful music shows across the globe. This show has an absolutely original format and Indians, telling u this, this is the best EDM concert u can ever book a ticket to, in India. Not on TV. No TRP bullshit. Only real content. Amazon Prime Originals P.S - The show is huge, nothing that's ever been on Indian media. I can only contemplate the big money and thought behind the show. WOW! Completely blown. One hell of a show! The contestant are dope. On stage music production and singing. Don't watch this show without good quality headphones. Coz it's all about the fusion of those EDM beats and that dynamite singing that makes it sick. Watch it. Totally worth it! P.P.S- Was surprised to see Nucleya on it.

Watch If you like to cringe. Singing is awful, music is ok. Looks like a desparate attempt.
  • Firstly yes of course don't like all of the songs but am generally pleased with most of the songs but when you are watching this on prime it just kills the audio, The audio quality on prime is so so bad that you will not like it because it. When you listen to these songs on amazon music it sounds much better. For a show like this where there are music producers actually adding so much to the songs which is a total waste coz you cannot hear it when you are watching it. Prime is not a good platform for this show.
  • Seriously the show was unbearable.. I think all the artists were fab but the show couldn't pull up at all. Again the concept is great but poor execution.. I don't think if the first episode is unwatchable then we can continue with the rest of the show. 👎🏻 As soon as we see Nucleya we always have high hopes and expectations but it got way to easy and way to casual. We expect a lot more.. A lot of expectations from the team so better luck next time come up with something seriously better..

  • The concept is a smart one, like most others have commented, but the execution is "nails on a chalkboard". It hurts to watch the judges compliment performances because it seems forced and unnatural. Even the host can't fake enthusiasm, and he's a good actor.

The performances rarely have anything tying the music to the singer. Best described as "bad karaoke with drama".
  • Watching from first episode but found that sunidhi already selected sreeram as winner. Her favorite. Waiting for the final & the winner is sreeram...
  • Honestly, a very well structured and formatted show. Very entertaining and enjoyed the lack of sobbing which you see in other Indian reality shows.

    Looking forward to season 2.
