Directors in bollywood should be encouraged to make this kind of movies with an imperative message for the society.
  • The movie clearly gives a message about cleanliness, etiquettes and scarcity of Toilets and bathrooms leading to defecation in open.

It's gives a social message which needs to be worked upon not only by Government but also by us the people who are residing in.

Government alone can't do anything and people needs to join in for a better & clean environment and society
  • One of the issues India faces a lot. It's like a taboo there to have toilet within the house. Most of them can't afford it. This movie highlighted all the social and financial aspect of the slums who can't afford to have a toilet.
  • #Halkaa is the story of a young slum boy who is unable to defecate in public. He needs his privacy which is like asking for the impossible. He befriends another kid n an elderly man who have similar issues. Together they try to fulfill their ambition. Good performances, simple dialogues n authentic locations r the plus points. Hats off to director #nilamadhabpanda for narrating this sensible tale without involving big names. Worth watching. Rating 3/5.
  • Such a grounded direction by Nila Madhab Panda. Amazing story. Must watch.
  • Warning: Spoilers
It's story of young boy who cannot defecate in public, His only dream is to build a toilet!

Performance by all the actors are top notch, I don't understand why such stories never get recognition!
  • I watched this movie recently on Netflix, and I am so touched by it. Such a positive and encouraging movie.

The struggle of a kid who doesn't feel comfortable going to toilet in rail tracks. And his journey to make his private washroom by working hard and support of individuals around him is really compelling.

Every artist played their part so well.

It's so sad this movie didn't even receive a single award.
