  • One time watch movie

It is based on word sex which is a taboo in our society Truly amazing movie

A middle-class businessman, dejected by his failures, goes to China with the hope to get a successful business idea and better his prospects. There, he embarks on an unusual and comical journey and finds something much better, which will change his life and a second chance in life, to get it right. "Made in China" is a Gujarati Entrepreneurs' Hilarious story, from a Nepali handicraft dealer to a Millionaire.
  • A very strong approach to the people of our country with 1.32 billion population but still think the matter 'sex' is 'ashlil'. Director, script writer have done a wonderful job in making this film more and more appealing to audience. The story itself doesn't turn u on but the moral definately does.

Acting- Rajkumar Rao was undoubtedly the best factor about the movie. Mouni Roy didn't had so much to do with the film other than dancing which made the film better in terms of acting. The supporting actors namely Booman Irani and Rameesh Rawal was excellent.

Story- Expected more from the story but turned out to be a simple storyline. It's basically based on a novel so nothing with the direction itself. But the moral was 👍👍👍👍

If Bollywood wants to make film on Sex Education factor to make children aware of it rather than making it a taboo, they should go with films of this category rather than films like 'Khandaani Safakhana'.
  • "Made in China"started on a certain premise which was very interesting, but for some strange reason was not worked on at all. As a matter of fact, the movie took another turn, thus pushing that premise in the background. The movie was based primarily on Raj Kumar Rao who as always did a very good job with the others putting in average to competent performances. As usual the songs were totally unnecessary and at 2.12hrs it was definitely too long by about 20 minutes. After the interval the film really began to drag and as a result the quality of same fell even further. At best it's an average picture 5/10
  • It may not be worth of spending Rs 400/- for this movie in theatre but its worth not skipping this movie. Really entertaining and good acting

Funnly handles a topic that is considered taboo in india rajkumar rao and irani has done a great job
  • It has so many fabulous actors but somehow the movie doesn't feel as good as the audiance would expect it to be. Not a bad movie, can be watched.
  • This movie would have been a masterpiece but thanks to the poor execution and director for portraying it in a very immature way .
  • Great story line. Got some great comedy with non veg jokes. Script could have been better. Loved the message of entrepreneurship. Much better than crappy Housefull 4. DREAM GIRL was another good one. Good acting by Boman Irani, Rajkumar Rao & Paresh rawal!
  • My headline is taken from the movie where a married lady describes the issue in her sex life to the doctor protagonist in search of finding the solution...

What I like - As indians, we have started to TALK about sex. Much needed. We educated upper middle class people who treat sex in a hypocrite 'hush-hush' manner...MUST see the movie. NOT talking about it is one of the biggest concerns for our country. Though mostly this has remain restricted to the lower class and rustic India, still the so called Urban people mostly want to keep the discussion about it under the balnket - much like the sex! Actings are mostly up-to-mark, but again the heroine is completely sidelined and yes - she can smoke cigarette which is much more dangerous and unhealthy compared to sex, but she can't support her husband in provding solution to the masses!

Though the script could have more depth, and probably several aspects of it better handled, but I gave 1 extra star, just bcz this topic must be raised in our country which has become a sex-starved, hypocrite, and bogus society.

    #FinalVerdict

The movie suffers from a weak script & vacuous screenplay which will be a huge turnoff even for its target audience. The masses will be disappointed and box office prospects will also be a grim disappointment. Director Mikhil Musale is making his Bollywood directorial debut with Made In China & even though one is mentally prepared for the kind of adult humour that the film promises to offer, still, one feels let down because it goes extremely overboard & directionless. Add to that, the puerile story (Mikhil Musale, Parinda Joshi & Karan Vyas, with Niren Bhatt's additional screenplay) only makes the film cringeworthy. The film is nothing but an onscreen amalgamation of one-liners & double entendres. Replete with outrageous dialogues (Niren Bhatt & Karan Vyas), Made In China hinges on a wafer-thin plot, relies largely on jokes & gags which appear funny at times but cheap in the overall perspective and turns into a serious letdown.

Though there are instances where you feel like director Mikhil Musale has somehow managed (read 'struggled') to maintain the film's proceedings, they are few and far between. What Made In China really needed was a good dose of the magic soup itself.

While the music (Sachin-Jigar) is nothing to write about, it remains an average fair. The background score (Sachin-Jigar) helps lift a few moments but is not enough. The editing (Manan Ashwin Mehta) too, is plain average. As for the performances, Rajkummar Rao stands out with a magnificent act. The actor hasn't let the shimmer of his success taint his acting. Although this is Mouni Roy's second Bollywood film, she owns every bit of the screen time she gets. Amyra Dastur, Paresh Rawal, Gajraj RaO and Sumeet Vyas also keep you interested in them with their limited screen time. Boman Irani, however, is the one who takes the cake in Made In China. His performance dwarfs everything and everyone else on screen.

To sum up, Made In China carries the message of normalizing conversations around sex, exposing the taboo & hypocrisy surrounding it, which is commendable but it also gets cringeworthy. A wise-cracking mentor tells the protagonist - "the customer is a ch***ya (the unmentionable isn't uttered, the audience is left to read the lips of the two actors) - and you wonder if the makers of this film believe in that axiom themselves. Wait for it to come on the streaming platform. Don't watch it in theatres!

    Warning: Spoilers
I am all in for awareness generation. So the part of the story trying to stand for sexual awareness is ok. But I don't understand how come the major focus is on medical fraudulence and how are we supposed to feel good with the main character getting away with such? I mean, aren't all medicines have elements inscribed in the back of medicines? And if it's not a medicine how come a certified doctor promoting it? Does not make any sense. And how is the audience expected to be supportive of fraudulent business? Does that mean all business including cocains are laudable? Do we espies all business regardless of ethics or anything as such? Are films supposed to spread this twisted setting to everyone including young entrepreneurs ? Or is it that the director is twisted only? This movie is about fraud businesses thriving and have nothing to do with awareness. Why would two Indian girls studying at Berkeley come and work for rao? Aren't they supposed to find internships in the US, the largest industrialised country of all? Nothing adds up. And why would the kid be suspended for carrying a medicine in his bag? Stupidity known no bound. Only 3 for the casting.
  • Very nice movie. Entertaining and keeps you busy in the movie. Songs are great and raj kumars acting is awesome as always.
  • Made In China is symptomatic of what's often happening in Bollywood right now. They have a concept driven by content that's high on blending entertainment and message, and the idea is original, too. Acting bt the Lead Actor was good but Actress again disappointed me.It lacks a good EXECUTION to make a MARK. I enjoyed it by the way because of its CONTENT . 7/10 my rating !
  • Movie is really good. It shows the struggle which busssieman face during his career and how to deal with it. However, story could be better and I feel there is something missing in the movie and that is building of story line.
  • This film will bore you unless you're a person who would like to be a businessman in the future - in that case, you'll get some good business studies tips from this film. Apart from that, nothing so great about this film.
  • A very strong movie with good content and best actors all shine like a sun...

Its nice and timepass movie boman iran acting is good short and sweeter
  • This movie is slow as molasses, Boman and Pares stand out in their performance. Rao was trying to hard. Really gutted though that they cant give sizzling Mouni Roy more screen time. She could have been added to the Magic soup team instead of left at home and extra lady characters added. This is another movie where she is there just for item number kinda songs.

Couldn't finish the movie. Had to turn it off. It is eerie that all the other comments are super positive (paid reviewers?)

A movie that moves you, if I may state a few words. It will strike as a cheap comedy at first, one based in China, but it ends up being far more than that. It is rather an attempt to put forward the situation quite synonymous to the typical Indian crowd, it takes the courage to do what others may despise and comes across beautifully. And to add to that, Rajkumar Rao's scintillating performance with Boman Irani's hilarious quirks. It is for sure a must watch, if you are willing to undermine a few tiny blunders.
  • Great film with strong content and social message. The story is based on the major issue of our society. It takes time to create a story in the first half. But in the second half you will easily get connected. Rajkumar Rao plays the Gujarati character very well. Boman Irani's character was very energetic and it seems natural for some time. Paresh Rawal's cameo was awesome. In the climax you will be really surprised and appreciate the character. Mouni Roy's screenplay was short but he played it well. The songs are average. The background music sounded weak in some scenes and so you can get bored especially in the first half. Everything else is good. This film could have been made more interesting and impressive.
