You like animes with tons of fighting scenes, a few silly dialogues and well animated violent content? Lean back and enjoy, you don't regret even one second. Can't wait to watch 3rd season.

I was a bit unsure with first episode, I'm glad I watch 2nd episode and gave it a chance because it's brilliant. Excellent story, animation, characters and fights and I found it quite funny in parts. Recommend to anyone who enjoys Japanese manga.
  • Other than castlevania i havent been too impressed with netflix animes, but this one has comedy, great fighting scenes and keeps you interested. worth the time for sure
  • At first I wasn't sure that going 3D would be the right choice. But now after watching both the seasons, I think 3D animations during fights scenes are used perfectly. The movements of the characters seem fluid and impactful. Can't wait for the rest of the tournament.
  • It's way better than Baki the plot makes more sense. The music is LIT

  • Amazing anime amazing fights amazing details keep pumping more episode guys please this is amazing even for adult 👌💪
  • Warning: Spoilers
This show is one of the best action animes I've ever seen, but it still lacks that certain something. For one, it has a little too much of the "amazing, radical technique trump card blah blah blah". It makes some of the fights ridiculous when it would just be cooler to watch a fight with this amazing animation. Secondly, the series comes off a little ethnocentric. Fighting and martial arts are practiced the world around and they could have focused on more diverse martial arts (probably going to butcher the spelling on these but: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, krav maga, Greco Roman wrestling, shota Khan and others). Also, any character that isn't strictly Japanese kinda gets jobbed. It would have been cooler to see a more universal representation of fighters, especially if this is supposed to be about the best fighters in the world. I mean, if you look at modern day contact fighting sports, your have representatives from South America, Mexico, USA, Korea, Japan, Africa, Europe/U. K., Russia, China and more. Having more diversity in the breadth of characters would have added more legitimacy of an ultimate fighting tournament. I will say however, the mocking of massive modern conglomerates was pretty funny. Overall, it's and enjoyable watch, just not an amazing one and it does get a little repetitive.
  • I recommend as its easy to follow with imoressive fights and different styles
  • It's not a bad start to a series, but the art style feels a little off in places.

The subtitle translations aren't even close to the audible English translation. The subs seem a bit harsher than the audio, so I'm thinking they're more in line with the actual intended audio.

It reminds me a bit of Streef Fighter 2 the animated one from 1994, in a good way.

The bad, the episodes aren't very well moved in terms of plot and back story.

The plot is really basic, which can work if done well, but every episode so far runs like bullet points, checking off required info boxes and delivering almost everything in obvious info dumps, which for myself, it just doesn't feel like a story, it feels like a a wikipedia entry.

Going to watch a few more episodes, I'm enjoying it enough for that, and decide if it gets better with the story portion.

    Kengan Ashura,

When I started watching this I just finished Baki (also a netflix production). what came as a big suprise to me is that the paste of this anime is more in tradition of a US or European made production. fast action with a good solid story behind it. interesting characters and the episodes are bite size.

perfectly to watch on the way or bench watch it when comfortible at home.

if you are a fan of anime and fast paste action this is the anime to start with.
  • This anime looks basically like Street Fighter on Playstation. Put your controller aside and passively enjoy Homeric combats secretly organized by the CEO of huge Japanese companies. The atmosphere is fascinating and the fast-moving pace of this anime will incite you to see the episodes of the whole season, all in one piece. 6/7 of 10.
  • I don't get how everyone is raving over this title, it's not good.

Season 1 is cool so I'm speaking strictly about season 2. The entire season consists of full-episode fights between characters we barely know and don't care about. To make things worse, these fights are interlaced with dull flashbacks and background information the viewer doesn't need AT ALL. I can only listen to inconsequential characters explain just how they became so strong so many times. It isn't until the last two episodes of the season that we even see Ohma (the main character) fight.

Remember 'The Fly' episode of Breaking Bad where you were like, 'What the heck is this? I am even watching the show anymore? Get back to the story.' Thats what it's like watching all of Kengan Ashura season 2.

Really surprised by the quality of the whole show. Great little anime. Loads of fighting, perfect for a binge watch. Bring on the second half in October.

It's much better than the other collection of fighting anime, It's underrated.
  • At first i was not sure about how they design this anime it was neither 2D nor 3D but it was kind of 2.5D (mix of 2D + 3D) however story and fights are just epic.

Only a piece of crap (who never watched a decent anime) can rate it low.
  • Awesome👍👌 a must see for everyone who loves anime/manga
  • Everything in between Yamashita's annoyance is great but his character does make it hard to watch.
  • If you like raw one on one fights you will love this, kinda weird style of animating but you get used to it.

Pretty entertaining fighting anime. Personally not a fan of 3d anime. But if it produces higher quality and faster results that can be excused.

Personally wish they would cut down on the vast amount of characters and put more production value in a lower episode count and better story.

Sometimes the sheer amount of fights seems to drag a little bit. And the show seems to follow a rythm of a fight per episode for the majority of the show. And surprisingly the main character could use a lot more screen time, especially more fight scenes. All in all a good show but not great.

Good and bingeworthy anime for action and fighting anime lovers.

The Characters and their abilities are portraied in a totally new kind of style. Its a mix between dragon ball z, street fighter and fist of the north star. I think if the fights would be more realistic and the fighting styles would be entirely real ones this would even be a whole lot better. Too much fantasy....
  • Plot is very boring and unnecessary overacting of side character, the only good thing about the series is the Animation and martial arts fights.
  • Binge watched both seasons. Screw what the haters say, this being a 3D based animation. Quite frankly, I loved the animation. The fights were great and the 3D character models are straight fire. 2D animation is interspersed here and there, but the important matches get the full 3D treatment. I honestly haven't watched something this entertaining in quite sometime, here's to season 3!

This is by far the best anime I've ever seen. The animation is just amazing and the plot is great. I can't wait for season 2 to come out. I literally watched the 1st season in 2 nights, I was hooked after the first episode. Please Netflix let there be many many seasons more. Love it.
