This show picks interesting cases but it lacks in the most important part of a crime show: storytelling. Each episode is 45 minutes long but each episode spends only about 4-5 minutes on how the case was actually solved which happens to be the most important part of a crime series.
They spend way too much time on life story of the person who was killed and background stuff before even getting to the topic. They don't even mention the murder up until half of the episode is finished. Once the murder happens they spend too much time talking about how everyone around the victim mourned, show the person's funeral...etc and don't even get to solving of the crime until the last 5 minutes.
Then they talk about solving of the crime really quickly in 5 minutes saying "cops found the killer and arrested him. The killer got sentenced to 20 years" without giving any details as to how cops found the killer and what evidence was used to find the killer.
This show basically spends too much time on fluff and too little time on actual solving of the case and pretty weak in storytelling department which is what makes or breaks a crime show.
