The Only Time Andrew Lincoln Dropped His Accent
British actor Andrew Lincoln was teased for his American pronunciation of "Carl." "It's a work in progress," he said of his American accent. "Maybe after another eight seasons, I’ll get it right."
Lincoln is known to retain his American accent throughout filming, but talked about the one time he dropped it. During the filming of the pilot, fellow British actor Lennie James said he took Lincoln into a corner and whispered: "Can you believe this?" Lincoln recalls: "It was the only time I came out of that accent in eight years, to say 'This is unbelievable! It's great to work with you."
