Burning Questions for "Game of Thrones" Season 89 of 9
Is a season finale truly a season finale without a peep from Lord Varys?
Usually there's enough dialogue to go around on "Game of Thrones," but we were surprised and disappointed not to get any sort of shady quip from Lord Varys (Conleth Hill) during the 70-plus minutes of "The Dragon and the Wolf." With essentially every principal character present in the dragon pit scene and then Tyrion's solo mission to convince Cersei to enter into a truce, we have to imagine that Conleth had a line or two in the shooting script. He was there for the drama, after all! Ditto for Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson), whose face we glimpsed at the opening of the episode but who never uttered a word or a command.
