1. Changes abound for "Shameless" characters
At a PaleyFest event and panel discussion this fall, "Shameless" producer John Wells laid out where some of the characters are at and what they're dealing with, as the show prepares to premiere on Nov. 5.
"Everybody's on a little bit of a different trajectory," Wells says. "Lip (Jeremy Allen White) is really having to deal with the extent of his alcoholism. He's used it as an excuse to destroy things that he's afraid of, his own success and moving out of the neighborhood and everything. And he's trying to get a handle on it.
"Fiona (Emmy Rossum) is actually trying to get a little bit of financial stability underneath her, and that is really, really hard when you're at the bottom of this economic ladder.
"Ian (Cameron Monaghan) is trying to stay on his meds and maintain what he's doing and have a job and have a relationship."
