10 Things You May Not Know About the Cast of "This Is Us"
Happier than a camel on Wednesday?
The past few years, you may have seen Chris Sullivan (Toby) in numerous high-profile television shows, including "The Knick," "The Americans," and "Stranger Things." But one of his most famous TV appearances didn't feature his face: In 2013, Sullivan was the voice of a camel who was totally stoked for Wednesdays in GEICO's popular "Hump Day" commercials.
Speaking of Watson, who plays Beth, the actress also appeared on FX's "Louie" as the ex-wife of Louis C.K.'s character. The nature of that role was a surprise to Watson until after she was cast for it — she thought she would be playing a friend of the comedian, she said to Essence magazine in 2012.
Watson's husband on "This Is Us" is played by Sterling K. Brown, who is married to actress Ryan Michelle Bathe. Bathe also has appeared on "This Is Us" as Yvette, who interacts with a younger version of Brown's character, Randall.
Ventimiglia's on-screen wife (Rebecca) is played by Mandy Moore, who first gained stardom as a pop singer in her early teens. Stardom didn't necessarily come overnight for Moore, however. Part of her schooling included time at the Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Camp, which also counts Bryce Dallas Howard, Natalie Portman, and Lea Michele as alumni.
