Really funny, cute movie. Saw the world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. A very nice piece of work for first-time director/star Dean Paras. Better than "Can't Hardly Wait". Go see it when it's released (if...)
I Woke Up Early the Day I Died (1998)
One man's struggle to survive after he escapes a sanitarium.
Excellent! I saw it at the Toronto Film Festival, and I have one thing to say: "Terry Gilliam...watch out!" Even though the film has no dialogue, Billy Zane's AMAZING performance keeps you interested and laughing throughout the whole thing. I promise that you will walk out of the movie a Billy Zane fan. This is definitely on my top ten list. GO SEE IT!
Pecker (1998)
A small-town boy's hobby of photography changes the lives of everyone around him.
Really funny. Saw it at the Toronto Film Festival. Some kind of weird stuff, but not too weird. A really good cast and some really strong characters like the bible-crazy grandmother and especially the sugar-freak little sister. You can bet we'll see a lot more movies starring Edward Furlong after this movie...his performance was really real.
