The Musketeer
(2001)

Worst movie of 2001?
This was definitely one of the worst movies of 2001. Granted, it had good action sequences, but the acting was horrible, and the casting was bad. then they tried to be funny with stupid lines, and nobody laughed. I was looking forward to this movie, and I'm very disappointed. The use almost epic music in the movie, but it doesn't work at all. Justin Chambers, okay, heard of you- not. Chris O'Donnell played that role much better. I've seen Mena Suvari doing better, why'd she take this role? And then theres Tim Roth, but nobody knows he was the evil monkey general Thade in Planet of the Apes, because he was in a monkey suit. That about raps it up. To summarize what I've just said-It was a horrible movie with bad acting, bad lines and it was miscast.

My rating-* out of *****

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
(2001)

Great send-off for a very funny pair
I saw the sneak preview of "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" last week. I knew it would be funny since I enjoyed Kevin Smith's "Dogma" and "Clerks". I laughed out loud the whole time, despite the fact that as I could see from my company in the theater, I was not your typical Kevin Smith fan.

"J&SB SB" is funny not only for its crude humor and incessant use of the f-word, but also its references to many current TV shows/movies and stars. Those who are unfamiliar with Smith's past work as well as current movies may find themselves missing quite a few of the jokes. I hate reading long reviews, so I'll wrap it up now and elaborate some other time. All in all, "J&SB SB" is a great wrap up to Jay and Bob's adventures, as well as a nice jab at Hollywood- not so much cynical and unappreciative, but more of a good-natured teasing. It's sad to see them go, but I'll be happy to watch this Jay & Silent Bob movie over and over again when I'm missing their inane antics.

The Skulls
(2000)

Excellent
"A hoot and a half" sounds like all the other news paper critics I've read. Who,thankyouverymuch, would want to watch a movie about a secret society that sits around sipping Starbucks and talking stocks?

The Skulls was a very good movie. It was a thriller that kept me constantly on the edge of my seat. I guess (contrary to my grades) that I must be stupid than for not guessing what would happen at the beggining, hoot and a half. Go for the sheer enjoyment of it. Though in real life something like the Skulls would be highly unbelievable, it makes a great movie. Very enjoyable. I thought, actually, that it was filmed very well. (The sculling scene, for instance) Whether or not the Skulls is ends up on your top five movie list, it's worth a trip to the theater.

The Man Without a Face
(1993)

A movie that showed the two sides of every face.......
The man without a face was yet another one of Mel Gibsons best movies. At first Mel Gibson was a miserable cruel man until Chuck, a young boy that lived nearby befriended him. Chuck originally just wanted some help on a few Latin words, but in the end he got a whole lot more. Gibson yet again came out with another excellent movie.

Ronnie & Julie
(1997)

FANTASTIC!
I give this movie a 10. Unfortunately, I lost my last post so this will have to do. It has a great script, and is very well acted. Joshua Jackson is awesome (he makes the film) as is his chemistry w/ Margot Finley. All the actors are very good. The dialogue is believable as are the characters. It's a great update of Romeo and Juliet, set in High School. The skating aspect ties it together well (RECOMENDED FOR hockey players/figure skaters). You can't help but love this sweet, romantic movie- it's not too sappy. (As if you need more convincing, JOSH JACKSON IS SOOOOO HOT!!!) I recommend this to anyone, you can see it on Showtime in the winter. It's sure to make you smile!

Infinity
(1996)

Stunning
I first caught most of this film on T.V. I love Matthew Broderick, so I stopped to watch it. I was totally engrossed in this story, and couldn't pry myself away. It is a complicated movie, but I think Broderick did a wonderful job acting and directing. I think the thing that most captured me is not the story, but of how Broderick portrayed, Feyneman. His expressions represent his character better than any words spoken in the film. Broderick portrayed his character extremly well. He showed a man who was complicated and had many tough decisions to make, and did it to the best of his ability. On this alone, I give Infinity a 10 out of 10.

Glory
(1989)

Robert Gould Shaw leads his colored regiment to victory and death.
This movie was my all-time favorite. The soldiers bravery was outstanding. In the last battle scene (the assault on FT).Wagner brought tears to my eyes.I highly suggest this movie to all people who like the Civil War and enjoy action movies.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off
(1986)

Favorite of all time
Ferris Bueller's Day Off came out when I was two. From the first time I saw it, I was instantly in love. FBDO has characters you can really care about, a fabulous script, magnificent cast, and so much more. Matthew Broderick is at his best. Ferris is, without a doubt, my favorite movie of all time. I can't get enough, and no matter what my mood, when Ferris lip synchs on the float, I smile from ear-to-ear. I give Ferris a 10 out of 10. If you haven't seen this movie, run like hell to the video store and pick it up, I assure you that it will be an instant favorite. If I continued to express my feelings on Ferris, you'd sit at your computer all day, so I'll finish by saying LONG LIVE FERRIS!!!!!!!
