What an Idiot
(2014)

A total suprise !
Wow... I have just seen the funniest and heartwarming romantic comedy in a few years. A Hidden Gem for sure.

"What a Boss" !

I have never heard of this movie before, but got a chance to download it from torrent site. I am so glad to have found this wonderfully written movie with lot of laughter and joy. Thank you movie makers !

Alla älskar Alice
(2002)

We All Love Alice
Alla älskar Alice was a true surprise. I was a little bit eager to see this movie for a while mostly because I like those social relations movies with problems in the family. The last few years I have changed my taste in movies a little bit. Earlier I mostly liked those big action movies with little or no plot, but now I really appreciate movies about real life more and more. A few examples are "Life as a House", "Parenthood", "For Richer, for Poorer" and "Regarding Henry".

This is truly the best Swedish movie of the new Millennium so far beating "Familjehemligheter". Maybe it is because I knew all the feelings Alice had. She loved her father but was angry with him for him leaving the family. But still she understood that mom and dad couldn't live together. It was impossible. I liked the way Alice found out that Anna was a kind and warm person too. And that bad things always brings some good with them. This is a beautiful movie. All the filming locations in Norway and Johans new home at the lake are beautiful places. I don't know but I think I wish that I could have a daughter like Alice in the future when it is time for me to raise a family. A such a wonderful and carrying daughter would truly melt my heart.

My rating: 7/10

The Fly
(1986)

Bad guy becomes good
The movie starts with a great speed. No boring photo-scenes or titles. It pulls you right over. In the eighties this movie must have been very frightening. It still is but it has lost a lot since then. The plastic "supercomputer" looks rather silly. I didnt see any Hi-tech construction. The movie has got a great "Film Noir" feeling with the dark offices and corridors.

(possible spoiler) The movie has got one unique thing about it. I had a thought about this afterwards. The movie begins with that the "scientist" is a reserved and calm man without evil in him. His girlfriends "ex" is an opposite that acts snobbish and selfish. This does change through the movie. Just think about it. The two men changes places. The bad guy becomes good. The good becomes bad. This I think is a very good subplot. A plus for all the monster scenes.

White Nights
(1985)

Sovjet still lives!
I saw this movie when I was about 10 the first time and it affected me with its excitement and realism. For I my self come from the past communist state. It was very easy for me to live my self in to Nikolai Rodchenkos situation. What if this would happen to me. A nightmare, like if I would be placed in a planet of only apes (hehe). I believe I will never let go of this movie from my soul. It will always be stuck in my memory and every time I see White nights it will be a great show.

The movie begins with a great opera show continues with a dramatic plane crash and ends with a thrilling chase. Nikolai is forced to start over again in his past and hated Sovjet. He says he is Russian, not Sovjet. The communists forces him to begin dancing again for russian theater. But he is not motivated to perform, when he lives in a prison. Nikolai is permanently watched by KGB-agents with cameras and taps. In the states he was free .. to go where ever he wanted to go. The dance scenes is of high quality by Mikkail and Gregory, I enjoyed watching.Mikkail is just great and Gregory taps great. The dance scenes remind me of when I saw "Saturday night fever".
