While the format doesn't give much room for in-depth and technical explanation, but that's okay because that is not the purpose of this show, it does deliver on offering a new look at some mysteries that have haunted us for literally thousands of years.

DFT's infectious and enigmatic host, Josh Bernstein, takes the viewers on such adventures as the exploration of Homer's "The Iliad": did Troy really exist and did the epic war in ever happen? He braved blizzards and slept on a glacier in the Italian Alps to delve into the life, and mysterious death, of the 5,300-year-old mummy, Oetzi. He received a special viewing of coins at the Graeco-Roman Museum that were minted during Cleopatra's reign to get the bottom of her alluring beauty that bewitched both Julius Caesar and Marc Antony.

Not only does he dig up factual information, which may lead him all over the globe (250,000 miles so far he said in March 2006), of the topic but he tries to bring the experience of the time period to the viewers: to understand the life of Oetzi, he built a quinzhee (snow hut) and slept in it over night; he shot arrows and spears from a moving chariot to get a feel for Homer's Troy; and he took on an asp to understand its importance when Cleopatra chose it to take her own life.

Bob loses his wife the same night Grace receives a new heart. Was it fate that her heart is from Bob's wife?

Although the plot is forseeable in the first 10 mins, it is still thoroughly entertaining.

Another one of those fate movies... done well. Background props not to miss, Carroll O'Connor and company are hysterical! David Duchovny is a natural as the romantic lead. Why do they always make Minnie Drive lose her accent?

Don't miss it! Tears and laughs all in one.

If there is a worse movie, I pity the people who have seen it. This has now become the worst movie I have had the misfortune to watch. Both my husband and I voted after 25 minutes to stop watching, it really is that bad.

I'm not even going to waste your time by telling you the plot, just avoid it!

WARNING: This movie is not for the faint of heart. There is much gore and blood, and torture scenes.

The premis: A master of thrills, Steven Price, throws a special birthday party for his wife, Evelyn. He invites five friends to win $1,000,000 at the crack of dawn if they stay all night in the house, and of course live. But the people who show up are not who he invited, then people start dying.

As the first sentence states, there is a lot of gore and blood and guts. The house used to be a physiatric hospital for the criminally insane. There are torture scenes from the house's past life which can be disturbing.

Chris Kattan is hysterical as the house's current owner, who gets trapped inside with the other "victims". Geoffrey Rush and Famke Janssen, together as the couple that love to hate each other. Taye Diggs, the silent hero. Peter Gallagher, the wife's lover. Ali Larter, the silent heroine. Bridgette Wilson, the girl looking for a story.

What will happen in the night?

An extraordinary look into multiple personality disorder. Based on a true case, Sally Fields plays an adult, psychologically transformed from years of physical abuse and torture by her mother.

Joanne Woodward tries to help Sybil through the memories that will free her and let her become one.

Contains explicit scenes of abuse. Worth the watch, but this is no average Sunday night movie.

July 2006 Update:

Over the years, several people have emailed me to ask where they could purchase a copy, or when it would be on TV and I JUST saw a commercial that "Sybil" is coming out on DVD next week! Happy viewing to everyone.

With everything, there are always kinks to be worn out. I hope they do that with this show.

I know Sean Patrick Flanery is strong actor, I just wish his character had better development in the first episode rather than leaving everything in mysterious darkness.

The first episodes scenes were done for glamour, and it's nice to see the Vegas skylines, but if the character development doesn't get better, this show may became a casuality of mid-season cancellations.

Will your true love find you? No matter what happens are you destined to find that single person with whom you were meant to be with, meant to have in your life?

There are many movies that deal with this, but this is by far the best and most believable. You will laugh and you will cry.

As Helen, Gwyneth Paltrow is superb.

So will you find your true love? Just one word: I wouldn't have found if I hadn't logged on that one night (which I almost didn't and we are going on 10 months now).

If you take this movie seriously, go see other movies, this is clearly a satire.

Instead of just seeing the guests, we get to see the events that brought them to the show. I agree there is too much nudity and sexual situations for anything by NC-17.

Not only do you get the see glimpses of Jerry Springer just being Jerry, but you see the past and future of typical guests that appear on the show, portraying them as people and not freaks.

As Jerry says at the end, "this is the true America". And when you watch the next show, remember that the truth is stranger than fiction.

With each story comes a different telling of Merlin, Excalibur, Arthur and Camelot.

This story starts before all of the above. It starts with the "creation" of Merlin. Merlin did not just "appear" after all, he also has a past, which this film investigates.

The rest of the story, however, shows that the events around Excalibur and Arthur are a war of magic. Each wizard/wizardess using their magic to control what the humans do to create the outcome they want.

Everyone cheats on each other, and there is even incest.

It is rather slow in the beginning, but it is an entertaining alternative story. It definately focuses on Merlin and who his is.

A rather fine production for a TV movie-to-video film.

One of my favorite non-Disney-like animations.

Actually using wit and knowledge to get out of trouble, this gang of heroes is adorable. The orphaned Olivia is too cute, and Vincent Price is not to be missed.
