Da Vinci's War
(1993)

Good plot. Good actors' play.
Raymond Martino is one of my favourite film directors. His movies like "Detour", "To the limit" and "Skyscraper" I watched with interest. And I think that "Da Vince's War" is one of the best his movies (after "To the limit"). Here's a good plot. Actors played very well, especially Michael Nouri, Joey Travolta and James Russo. And Raymond's work was very well too. So, I think that this movie is GREAT!

Strange Days
(1995)

My favourite sci fi movie.
I watched "Strange days" about eleven times. As usual I watch movies once, if I didn't understand it I watch it twice, but if I liked some I can watch it many times. "Strange days" is one of these movies. Before that I didn't pay attention to Katherine Bigelow's films. I just knew that she's got passion to violence in her movies. You can notice it if you watched "Blue Steel" or "Point Break". In "Strange Days" much more violence than in another her films. And this one also much better. The plot is little trite, but in other respects everything was good in this movie. Very well acted there Ralph Fiennes, Tom Sizemore, Michael Wincott and Vincent D'Onofrio. And director's work was also good, so indoubtedly the movie turned out well.

8MM
(1999)

The best Schumacher's work.
I love this one for the good plot, good actors' play, especially were good Nicolas Cage, Peter Stomare, James Gandolfini and finally director's work. I think Joel Schumacher made the best movie in his career. I watched it with big pleasure and "8mm" made an impression on me. Some moments was difficult to watch for strong violence. But it didn't spoil the movie.

Dobermann
(1997)

The worst movie I've ever seen
I always ask myself one question: "Why everybody like this terrible movie?" Yes. This one is terrible. I hate french movies, especially I started to hate them more when I watched "Dobermann". Jan Counen untalented director. I can direct a movie like "Dobermann" too, and tell that this is masterpiece. Some moments in this movie were so primtive and foolish that if in this one wasn't a violence and sexuality I could think that this movie for children. So, I already know if somebody likes "Dobermann" it means that this man nothing understand in movies.

Xena: Warrior Princess
(1995)

One of the best tv-shows of nineties
I started to watch "Xena" about two years ago. And since then I didn't miss any series. I really like this tv-show. This one even better than "Hercules. Legendary Journeys". In "Xena" always different episodes. Sometimes serious like "The debt", "Deliverer", "Advantures in the sin trade" and "One against an army", sometimes funny like "If the shoe fits" or "Xena Scrolls" and sometimes foolish like "Furies", "In sickness and in hell" and "Fins, Femmes and Gems". All depends from director. My favourites are Oley Sassone and T.J. Scott. Actors play well. Lucy Lawless equally was a success to act brave characters (Xena), stupid (Meg) and frightened (Leah in "Fins, Femmes and Gems" and Melinda Pappas in "Xena Scrolls"). Very amusing character is Joxer (Ted Raimi's best role). He always makes me laugh. Alexandra Tydings. She always acted well. She's really good actress. Danielle Cormack also acts well, what a pity that she appears too rarely. And finally Karl Urban. I think Ceasar the best negative character in this movie. And Karl Urban as Ceasar is great. But he shouldn't to act Cupid. Because this role not for him. Well, I think that's all what can I say about "Xena".

Models Inc.
(1994)

Much better than "Melrose place" and "Beverly Hills"
I think that "Models Inc." much better than "Melrose place" and "Beverly Hills 90210". And not only I think so. All my friends and relatives who watched "Models Inc." think the same. There were many boring series in "Melrose place" and "Beverly Hills". But I always watched "Models Inc." with a big pleasure. And actors played much better. Especially, Linda Gray, David Goldsmith, James Wilder and Emma Samms. And I don't know why is this one isn't popular.

Lucky Chances
(1990)

Just a good movie
I can't tell too much about this one. Yes it's a good movie, but not more. I've read the novel, but there isn't a big difference between book and movie. The book is little boring and in the movie plot is usual and actors' play was highly mediocre. So, this movie fits for review only once.

Once Upon a Time in America
(1984)

Once upon a time in America, there were five kids who dreamt to become a gangsters. Since many years their dream came true.
I think this is the best movie about mafia I've ever seen. It's much better than "Godfather 1-3", "The Last Don" and "Casino". Actors' play was excellent. Robert De Niro, James Woods, Elizabeth McGovern they all acted great. And in this one first appeared, now famous, Jennifer Connely and James Russo. Unfortunately, this movie was the last for the great director Sergio Leone.

Dynasty
(1981)

One of the first Aaron Spelling's "soap operas"
It was the second tv-show that I watched in my life, the first was "Santa Barbara". Of course, "Dynasty" much better than "Santa Barbara". Here's cross different genres romance, drama, thriller and some detective in final episodes. In "Dynasty" first appeared my favourite actress Emma Samms. I think it's the best Aaron Spelling's project.

Acapulco H.E.A.T.
(1993)

Not bad tv-show
When I watched the first episode of this tv-show, I thought that this one is very primitive and stupid. But when I watched the second episode I understood that everything is not so bad. Probably, there's not convincing actors' play (except Brendan Kelly and Catherine Oxenberg) and sometimes there are absurd series. But I think that any movie or tv-show have got their dignities and lacks. I watch "Acapulco H.E.A.T." because I like it and because I also like Alison Armitage.

Nothing Lasts Forever
(1995)

Very good romance.
Of course, Sidney Sheldon's novel was much better than movie. Gerald Di Pego made too much changes in the plot. If you've read the novel you can notice many differences. For example, in movie Ken Malory didn't kill Vanessa Williams' character and there wasn't a character named Alfred, he was the first Paige's fiance. Yes, I like the novel more than movie, but I can't say that this movie is bad. If you haven't read the novel and will watch this movie first, I think, if you like romances, you will like this movie, especially women.

Masterblaster
(1987)

Cheap thriller
For the first time I watched this movie ten years ago and then I thought that this one is great. Well, in that time I was 7 years old and each primitive movie was a great for me. Two months ago I watched "Master Blaster" again, but only now I understand as far as this movie stupid and absurd. It's more looks like thriller than action.

Mutant Man
(1996)

Very dull movie.
Well...If you want to waste your time, please, watch this movie. I've never seen such bad and foolish movie before. Terrible director's work. Terrible actors play. Everything is terrible. But maybe the children will like this one? Or maybe not. I think it's too primitive even for children.

Jackie Brown
(1997)

Great movie!
This movie was directed on the basis of Elmore Leonard's novel "Rum Punch". My favourite movies which were basis of Elmore's novels are "Get shorty", "Pronto" and "Jackie Brown". I can say that this one is great! To my mind "Jackie Brown" is one of the best Tarantino's movies and Leonard's novels. Of course, this movie isn't for everyone. There are a lot of people who don't understand Elmore Leonard, I mean his novels. Yes, it's hard to direct movies by his novels, because the people who watch them mustn't to perceive this kind of movies too serious, but they also mustn't to perceive these movies not serious. And "Jackie Brown" concern to this sort of movies. Here's a very good plot and actors play. And only one this movie's deficiency are borring dialogues, but maybe somebody doesn't agree with me.

The Allnighter
(1987)

Cool and funny.
I really love this movie. "Allnighter" reminded me "Can't hardly wait". Here's less of humor and comic situations as in "Can't hardly wait", but "Allnighter" has got more romantic moments. Maybe the movie's plot is little trite, but in other respects "Allnighter" is a standard for good comedies and feel good movies.

Detour
(1998)

Another one good movie from Raymond Martino.
Raymond Martino hasn't got bad movies. I like "Skyscraper", "Da Vince's war" and "To the limit". He wrote a script to "Detour" and this one directed Joey Travolta who acted in "Da Vince's war" and "To the limit". The plot of "Detour" is very simple. Two bandits - Danny (Jeff Fahey) and Ziggi (James Russo) decided to rob a famous mobster Grasso. But they're didn't know that the man who suggested them this business,Mo (Gary Busey), has already robbed Grasso. But Grasso think that Danny and Ziggi made this. And he started to hunt for them. There aren't too much shots in this movie as in "Skyscraper" and "To the limit" but the plot here much better then in "Skyscraper"

Susan's Plan
(1998)

Good "black comedy"
It's little unusual genre for John Landis. I got used to his good comedies, like "Coming to America" or "Trading places". This one is good movie too and it's "black comedy". But I like this movie. Sometimes it's funny and very stupid. Characters during the whole movie find oneselves to the most stupid situation. And this all cross with the strong violence and sexuality. So I can call this movie "The standard of black comedies".

Acts of Betrayal
(1997)

Good plot and neverending shootings
"Acts of betrayal" directed in John Woo style. Strained plot. Endless gunshots. About actors play I can say that Matt McColm acted well, but Maria Conchita Alonso not very well. Her character was too talkative. And it's little irritated me. Matt McColm acted a laconic FBI agent who must to protected a very important witness. During the movie assassins constantly were after them. But Matt McColm's character always found exit from difficult situations. I think that's all what can I say about "Acts of betrayal".

Breakaway
(1996)

It's not perfect
Actually, I like action where is too much gun shots. And "Breakaway" is one of these movies. But I can't say that I like this one. This movie spoiled the terrible Tonya Hardings' act. And Teri Thompson acted her part not better than Tonya. There're only two good things in "Breakaway" that's director's work and the plot. And if instead of Teri Thompson and Tonya Harding were another, more skilled, actresses. This movie will be much better.

Freefall
(1994)

Not bad movie
I don't like John Irvin's movies very much. Such movies as "Robin Hood", "City of Industry" and "Dogs of war". But there were also ones that I liked. This is "Raw deal" and "Freefall". I can't say that "Freefall" is the great movie, but I watched this one with a big interest. It's little unusual when Eric Roberts acts a good guy and Jeff Fahey is the bad guy. But they are both acted well. There's also strong sexual episode between Eric Roberts and Pamela Gidley. So I think the people who will like a good action will like this movie also.

Hard Time on Planet Earth
(1989)

That's one of my favourite sci fi tv-shows
Somewhere on another planet, there was a war. One of the soldiers was suspect in treason. And the goverment of that planet decided to send him on Planet Earth to expiate his guilt. Now I don't remember exactly how many series were in this movie I watched this one seven years ago. But I remember almost all of them.

I watched with a big pleasure Jesse's adventures on Earth. I think that children will like this movie.
