Kamera o tomeru na! supin-ofu: Hariuddo daisakusen!
(2019)

Comedy version of the Horror Classic
A brave idea - make a terrible version of the original as a 'Goes Wrong Show' style comedy sequel. If you can brave the opening 20 minutes and get past the first credits then the movie itself is pretty decent, if under-written and lacking in flesh.

For the 60 minutes run-time you get a reasonable attempt at a cake, but unlike the original the layers are not as rich or satisfying, and I suspect many casual viewers last 10-15 mins before moving on. This said - as a package on the blu-ray with the original it makes a suitable desert course and a lovely companion piece and this raises my rating to that of something for even casual fans.

Metamovies have moved on a little since this, but as an attempt to pastiche cash-in movies on successful Indy hits it works well enough, although a little tighter script and characterisation would have made the last 20 mins all the more satisfying. Probably not worth upgrading to the Blu-Ray version that includes this - but good enough that you should aim to buy the complete version of the movie that has this on the disk if you didn't already own it.

A baffling short story compilation
A series of short stories, mostly about dating, with the framing device that a wizard wrote them so you might click on the thumbnail. The wizard is also an out of work actor and writer, and all of the dialogue and writing feels like it was by someone that has only recently met humans for the first time. Every joke comes in triplicate

The first short was so bad I struggled to remember details while the second was on.

The second stars one of the least likable or believable characters ever.

The third is a very odd monologue.

There are better written and acted shows on YouTube. Although as the cameras look decent and the editing is better than Madame Webb my guess is this is a film school collaboration. Hope you all passed.

Simple yet effective
There were no written reviews except 5 stars so I felt compelled to add some words.

A simple, almost diary like, retelling of a single summer in a strange cottage on the edge of Germany. Beautiful and compelling, I automatically came here to see what else had been made by the same team. But - this is it - one simple slice of life, funny, sad, and honest. A glimpse into some interesting peoples lives, and a way to reminisce about lost summers of our own youths.

Fantastic film and a easy recommendation to anyone who enjoys a more relaxing pace to their movies, or who has travelled and found friendship themselves.

A Farce, But A Deliberate One
If you are fed up of Hollywood time-travel movies then come see this old fashioned Euro-style farce. It is silly, it is crude in places, but it is always with a smile. Think Birdcage (but not as sharp).

A disfunctional 90s family are transported to the 2022s and discover some shocking facts about what happened after they left. It feels like it was made in the 90s which I think is the reason people are very down on this odd little gem.

If you are expecting Rick & Morty then avoid, but if you fancy something a Little different and don't mind that it doesn't make a great deal of sense in places then come and enjoy the ride.
