Get Crazy
(1983)

Watching this movie has became a yearly tradition for me!
I just finished watching it for the 18th time...I only watch it on New Year's Eve. I first found this movie in 1985 and have watched it EVERY New Years Eve since, except for New Year's 1990 while I was in Saudi Arabia for Desert Shield/Storm.

The name of this movie fits perfectly, it IS "CRAZY"! Every time I watch it, I notice something different, especially different characters in the crowd at the concert and other things in the background. Malcolm McDowell is one of my all time favorite actors and he puts on a great show, although he should stick to acting and NOT singing. Lou Reed plays a pretty decent song during the credits, so don't turn off the tape as soon as the credits start to roll! The other music consists of the same song in different forms, blues, metal, and whatever you want to call the version that Malcolm McDowell sings.

It's well worth a viewing, preferably on with friends and on New Years Eve!!

Not as bad as I was expecting...
I was expecting this movie to be pretty bad when I rented it, but after watching it, It's actually a pretty decent movie! Be advised, that I'm a "B post-holocost-type-scifi-movie" junkie. What I didn't expect when I rented it, was that this was this movie is ALMOST a porno.

All in all, it was a pretty decent movie, not all that bad of one to spend a boring, lonely night watching.

Sphinx
(1981)

This is one GREAT old classic movie!
This movie follows right along with the book, but adds MUCH more due to the on-location sets and the very authentic ancient Egyptian stage sets. Most definitely worth the $5.00 you can get it for at flea markets!!!

Beowulf
(1999)

Surprisingly GREAT movie!!
This movie REALLY surprised me as how GOOD it was!! With Christopher Lambert in it, it had to be good, but this is his best performance since the first Highlander movie. The soundtrack blew me away with its mix of metal, chanting, and eerily echoing music. The acting was above par and with the updating of the ancient Olde English tale to a futuristic/medieval setting; it's a feast for the eyes and ears. Grab the popcorn and a soda and ENJOY!!

Mars
(1997)

Really not too bad
This movie wasn't near as bad as I was expecting. But then again, these futuristic B movies are right down my alley. Lots of decent action, plot twists and intrigue. The only thing I couldn't understand is why they dubbed over the main actor's voice. Couldn't he speak English? and if not, why cast him in an English speaking movie. All in all, a decent movie.

Space Rage
(1985)

Not all that bad!!
This movie is really not all that bad. But then again, this movie genre is right down my alley. Sure, the sets are cheap, but they really did decent with what they had.

If you like cheap, futuristic, post-apocalyptic B movies, then you'll love this one!! I sure did!

Gwendoline
(1984)

So bad, it's GREAT!!
This movie is one of the great old "B" movies from the 80s. The acting is totally amateur, but perfect for the campy theme. It has everything needed for an adventure movie of this type; jungle localles, dirty boat captain, gambling, savages, and the always welcome nude scenes (wow, but Beth really made the movie!!)

Rent it, buy it, borrow it, STEAL it!! It's worth the time!!!
