Criminal Minds: Target Rich
(2015)
Episode 7, Season 11

This is a good episode, but...
I enjoy seeing Rossi the dad. I'm always glad when they catch the bad guys. My only question (and it's not just about this show) WHY don't they EVER call the local police? If Dave and JJ were 3 miles out, isn't it possible that some local cop was closer? I have the same question on Law & Order, NCIS...Just wondering?

The Big Bang Theory
(2007)

Amy & Sheldon - change in relationship
I have been watching this show since the beginning. I've loved the relationship developments between each character. But I'm frustrated that the relationship between Amy and Sheldon has taken a dramatic turn for the worse recently. Amy used to find Sheldon's quirks cute, but now she is more vocally mean to him than anyone else. She snaps at him in the same way that Howard always has. I'm just not happy with the change.

Greatest theme song ever!
I've read the other reviews and agree with most of them. I remember watching this when I was 4 or 5 years old. It may not have had the best animation, and it certainly had less than thrilling action, but remember the time was completely different. The children of the 60's who watched this were enthralled by a hero who had flaws and sidekicks who were unquestionably loyal. And it had the best theme song ever! Thank you, Johnny Nash for singing a song that to this day I can remember word for word! It was amazing and I wish I could find it here in Houston. Does anyone know where we can get copies of this cartoon for review? Does anyone have tapes or copies?

Whoopi Goldberg: The Word According to Whoopi
(2007)

Whoopi speaks the truth
Whoopi IS the voice of my generation, and this special shows it! She talks about the pop stars of today, the way we've raised our children - and the sad truth that we can't stand those things. We have all gotten old enough to appreciate the changes in society and Whoopi isn't afraid to tell us how much we hate it!

Whoopi talks about language, child-rearing tips, and other recent events in a way that few comics can. I especially loved her comments about the child on the "public transportation." It's so true. We all LOVE kids on planes and trains - right?!

Enjoy this! She really says what we all think!

Something's Gotta Give
(2003)

I thought this was one of the funniest movies in a long time!
I thought this was one of the funniest movies in a long time! Diane Keaton was FABULOUS in her role as Erica, a "together" playwright. Jack Nicolson was sweet and tender in this as he has never been before! Keanu Reeves was underused in this and that is probably my only complaint about this movie.

The scenes with Diane Keaton crying are some of the funniest pieces of film I have seen in a long time. She showed the heartbreak of all women at a break-up, no matter how old you are. I have not laughed that loudly in a long time.

I really think this was a movie that I want to share with my daughter because, even with the semi-nudity, the talk between Keaton and her daughter (played by Amanda Peet) was something really special.

I really think that this was a fabulous, heartfelt, lovely movie, and I can't wait to see it again.

There's No Business Like Show Business
(1954)

Merman is Merman
Granted this is no MGM Musical - but I think that Donald O'Connor is absolutely fabulous in this. We see acting depth from him in this movie that we don't see in any other movie he made. The scene in the hospital with Dan Dailey is probably his best moment on film. And I don't think you can call yourself a musical fan if you don't appreciate the finale. Merman is Merman and that's all there is to it. She doesn't need any explanations or excuses. She can carry a scene with her singing any time! And as far as the Donald O'Connor and Marilyn Monroe romance, they just seem sweet at the end. And that's not a bad thing is it?

The supporting cast is wonderful. Dan Dailey is as he always was - even and steady. His scenes with his sons are priceless. Mitzi Gaynor was beautiful and in the final backstage scene with all Five Donahues her reactions seem almost real!

I think this is one you should see on a lazy Saturday afternoon and truly appreciate the whole picture.

The Patriot
(2000)

Great story - better action - real emotions!
Other than language problems this would be an excellent movie for students to see. I loved the action and the family interaction. Mel Gibson has used his expressive face and body movements to let us know of the pain a father might have suffered as his home, family, and way of life are threatened by the oncoming Revolution. There is nothing that can be done to stop the war, and as time passes nothing should be done. This is a great story tied together with true action and a real emotional tug that lasts from beginning to end. I recommend this movie for all adults to see.

Excellent as a teaching tool for American History
This has been a favorite movie of me and my family for years! We wait for it each year at 4th of July and other holidays. I have also used it as a teaching tool for the high school (watch out for language - depends on the age group). It makes the characters of the Congress come alive in a very real way! I highly recommend it!
