I should have known with this movie being shelved for two years, plus the fact that it lost something like 96 million dollars at the box office that this movie was going to be bad. Maybe that's what made me hit the 'buy' button on the dish, I just wanted to see how bad it was.

Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed, bad acting, lame plot, lousy special effects, and those are the good points!!! Being a HUGE John Cleese fan, even his little part couldn't save this wreck. So where did the 100 million they spent on this flick go? It sure as heck wasn't on the script. Eddie, please, we need a good movie from you soon, I'm sure the only reason they decided to release this was due to your outstanding performance in "Shrek", now that was a good movie. Save your money, and go buy a bucket of paint so you can watch it dry, at least it's more entertaining than any given minute of Pluto Nash.

GO FORK YOURSELF! That bit alone makes this special worth the price of admission. Great bits, the ol' Tom Green that we know and love....need I say more? Tom Green takes on the Japansese community in what promises to be a 'sneak peek' of what's coming in the near (I hope) future.

Way back in the early 80s, when Airplane and the like films came out, they had no intention of having a plot, and Scary Movie remembers that. What we do get is a no holds barred parody of the recent rash of teen horror flick that have come out in the last few years. Scream, The Sixth Sense, I Know What you did Last Summer, and the Matrix among others all are given an ol' punch in the guts through this film. The plot, which is very thin, is used only to keep the gags running along. But who cares? This film is very much aware it is a movie, and takes good advantage of it, with the gags coming along a mile a minute. Scary Movie is meant to be silly, and it pulls more jokes off more than it misses. I found myself laughing heartily at this film, along with the majority of theater. From the amazingly hilarious opening sequence, which features the ravishingly beautiful Carmen Electra, to it's subtle gags involving the facial expressions of the killer's mask, Scary Movie is non-stop laughter from the beginning to the end. Parent's beware, how this movie avoided the NC17 rating, I'll never know, and frankly I don't care. Well worth the price of admission at any cost!!!!
