Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence
(1983)

most honest war film made
This would have to be one of the finest war films made dealing with the human soul. Also the only one iv'e come across dealing with homosexuality. Production made mainly by japanese makes me wonder that they really do understand what happened during the war and their brutality. The casting, photography, directing makes it a masterpiece that puts all modern war films to shame.

Titanic
(1997)

how it won 11 oscars is beyond me
How it won 11 oscars is beyond me. The original A NIGHT TO REMEMBER shot by Geofrey Unsworth is far Superior in its style and story. JAMES CAMERON, (The biggest plagurist of our time) just uses CGI effects to take away the soreness of a bad film. He portrays real life characters as villians without doing his research just to re-write it the way he thinks it happened. As Seinfeld and George said "So that old ladys just a liar" "and a bit of a floozy too" Damn right

We Were Soldiers
(2002)

Hollywoodization
I am really starting to get sick of True/hollywoodised films coming out a lot now. We Were Soldiers is one of these. Ive seen a documentary called Decisive Weapons on the Huey Warhorse. If you get the chance, just watch this. Its Actual footage,Deals with actual people there and will give you a better picture. The film should have been called "Mel Gibson Wishes he was a Soldier"

Eat the Rich
(1987)

I am the one,Orgasmatron
This is one of the most wittiest films made that covers everything ,eg: Religion ,Politics ,Social Classes etc, and the best part ITS A COMEDY. With just about every decent British comedian present,Too many to mention and the soundtrack is by MOTORHEAD. This film takes the p*** out of almost everything, so if your offended by unpolitically correct comments, don't watch this.If you not offended by the words (Poof,Black B**tard or F***king then you will love it.

Pearl Harbor
(2001)

Pity the Kamikaze Pilot didnt bomb the Final print
I wasted 2 1/2 hours watching this load of Cr*p and was i let down,YES. Michael Bay should make a directors cut that lasts about 30 minutes. Overhyped,Overacted and Overdone. Tora Tora Tora is made in 72, and my friends even said it was far better for a film made so long ago & WITHOUT the help of CGI, which to say without Pearl Harbor could have never have been made.

Wills & Burke
(1985)

Dry Comedy
The trailer at some film in about 85-86 led me to watching this, and i hate to say this this but the trailer was much better than the film. It takes you along the final weeks of William Wills & Robert Burke and the crossing of outback Australia that was never completed by europeans before. I got very confused and was lost after about 30 minutes, but Gary Mcdonald is one of my favorite Australian comedians and with the help of Kym Gyngell it keeps the film just going . On a final note, who ever did the Trailer to this deserves an award.IT IS BLOODY GOOD and one of the best i have seen. The IMDB should try to get it.

The Planets
(1999)

8x50 minutes of heaven
I first saw The Planets On the ABC.It ran for 8 weeks on each sunday and i watched it and watched, to cut a long story short i gratefully now own it on DVD. With 8 episodes [ 1.Different Worlds. 2.Terra Firma. 3.The Giants. 4.The Moon. 5.Star. 6.Atmosphere. 7. Life. 8.Destiny.] and footage of the scientists and engineers talking about the events they were apart of at the time,This Documentary produced by the BBC is an eye opener.
