Christmas in the Rockies
(2020)

Less than believeable
I know that this is a romance movie and it's not supposed to be accurate but a girl that was raised in the Rockies and any man that has gone to school should know that bears hibernate in the winter especially by Christmas. I have never seen a man (Jack) compete against a woman (Jill) in any lumberjack competition and I have seen a lot as my brother competed as a lumberjack. Lumberjack competitions require a lot of strength and speed in which men and women are very unequal. A person who hasn't trained in while would be so stiff after the first day and would need a couple of days to recuperate as she seemed to be after the first training session. Any one that has done any manual work in a while know that your hands would be so blistered, after swinging an axe, which would stop the training longer than the sore muscles. Finally...why would a highly competitive good looking woman settle for a plain looking aging dude like Stephen Huszar?

Man't point of view
There are so many things wrong with this movie that it has NO resemblance to real life. The writers and the director think there is nothing wrong with a highly trained man, that seems indispensable by not only his boss/partner but his clients, to sit at home and allow his fiancee to work like a rented mule to earn about 50 cents per product because she pouts if he works. He then tell his dad that it was his decision to quit a high paying job to be an inn keeper and that he then mentions that he would advertise Lacey's company...Whaaat! Go to work, you useless leech!

Man's viewpoint
I read the reviews and watched the complete trilogy before commenting. I believe that most of the reviews were done by females. I watch Hallmark with my wife because there is no bad language or violence. She enjoys them, so I persevere with the mushy nonsense, the weak story lines and the cinderella endings. This movie did not disappoint as the man continually yielded to the woman as he did in the Garden of Eden. In my manly world, the man is supposed to work and support the family. When he quit his job on Wall St because of her pouting, in my opinion he became a useless leach which will become more apparent in the next movie. The other reviewers all mentioned the different town, the different house, and the different goats, so I won't. Woops! I guess I just did. If you are female...You will probably enjoy this movie.

No lead actor
I don't know what others were watching, but the three of us watching thought that this had to be the most mismatched lead actors ever. The casting crew should all be fired. Adelaide Kane's character was the best in that she portrayed a person that was NOT interested in her brothers college buddy. When this herkie actor showed up we all said I hope this is not supposed to be her love interest. Unfortunately he was. Some of his poor acting was probably the screenplay and mostly the director who should never have had him play the overconfident party planner who kept acting like he was the planner and she was just the assistant while in truth it was the opposite. I found him to be a very poor actor that thought he should have been the director and tried his best to overshadow the better actress. Anyway, in real life, we believe that her actions spoke how she felt about the pairing and with everyone, her sis-in-law and the client harping about how good looking this dork was made it even harder to swallow. I am writing this because half way through our friends left as they couldn't watch anymore. It being on dvr we watched the rest of the show without them. Totally pathetic for a Hallmark film which we normally enjoy watching with our friends.
