Realism - TV Script Writers Seem to be Clueless
I have really enjoyed the series until season two when the writers obviously ran out of ideas that made sense. So you put the prime cast member in a coffin under the ground. He is able to talk to the villain on his CELL PHONE but is unable to call ANYONE ELSE? Did you forget that cell phone OPERATE BY COMMUNICATING THROUGH CELL TOWERS? This is a PRIME EXAMPLE of how writers can DESTROY a really good TV show. I'm watching S2E8 and it seems like all quality writers quit after S2E7 and the producer went to Home Depot and picked up whomever was in the parking lot in the back of his pickup and HIRED THEM AS WRITERS.

Why?
I watched this movie because of Dakota Johnson. I kept thinking that it would make sense in a little while. But, that never happened.

This movie is basically like a prank on the viewer who keeps waiting for it to develop into a worthwhile story, other than a tale about a lose bartender with a nowhere job, who's life is spiraling out of control, his fixation for a woman even though he has a lovely girlfriend who's going to school to better herself. Oh yeah and bugs. Lots of bugs, but no real explanation about how they relate to the lame plot. And I use the term plot loosely.

Don't bother watching this awful waste of time.

One of the Best Cop Shows Since NYPD Blue
The best way to describe this show is the word "RAW". Much like an earlier cop drama NYPD Blue, it puts it all out there and shows law enforcement as real people who are doing impossible work while dealing with their own lives. Bravo and thank you to the writers and actors who make it seem so real.

An excellent show that was dropped for some unknown reason. TV execs seems to can good shows instead of developing them and promote crapola.

Excellent Series
Well written and well cast, this series checks all the boxes of drama, love, sex, violence, honor, sex,.... The list goes on.

Bravo for an entertaining show.

Thank you.

Entertaining, but...
I've been watching the show on Hulu and by season 4, the writers seem to be turning the emergencies into "Ripley's Believe it or Not" plots. One episode has a Champaign cork embedded in a man's throat. Another one has springs flying out of a trampoline and pinning a woman to a door 20+ feet away? Seriously?

The show was well written and thought provoking but it seems like the writers of those episodes checked out.

I have to believe that realistic content from 911 calls can be found out there that won't turn an entertaining show into a comic book.

Glad that's over
Wow. That's one depressing flick. I struggled to get to the end hoping for something uplifting but it never came. Not even close

I've seen these actors in good movies over the years. Movies like this are where actors careers go to die.

B or C movie.

I'm a Cage fan, but...
Who writes this stuff?

So, there's an explosion in a coffee shop. The SWAT team responds. Once the scene has been secured, why in heck would the SWAT commander want to stay there when he knows that a bank heist is going on across town? He sends sector cops?

Jeez. I'm not LE and even I can see that script is nonsense.

Nick Cage. Man, WTH happened? I've seen you in some great movies. Why are you associating yourself with Hollywood hacks?

Good Movie, Well Acted
Movie was well made and actors did a very good job. As usual, Mr Hanks did a great job!

One general comment: I'm not sure why actresses young and younger feel the need to inject collagen into their lips, to a point where it looks like they were stung on the mouth by bees. It's distracting and unattractive. Not sure if the movie producers want it done or the actors themselves. It looks ridiculous.

Braven
(2018)

Who writes this stuff?
I watched it because:
  • I've liked Mr. Momoa's performances in the past.

  • It was 99 cents on Apple Movies. Hey, I'm being honest.

This movie makes me believe that the writers pulled together a summary of past action flicks involving a family guy fighting bad guys and added just about every stupid cliche they could find.

It just got dumber as it went along. In one scene, Joe needs a weapon so instead of grabbing the dead bad guy's loaded shotgun with ammo attached to the side, he picks up an axe with a broken handle to use against another bad guy with a gun. Much of the movie went like that. Dumb.

I gave it four stars because the problems of the movie are not the fault of the actors. Just the dumb writers.
