Graceland
(2013)

Jangles All the Way
6 government agents living under one roof, what could go wrong? Turns out... a lot.

Despite a phenomenal first season, Graceland never reaches a satisfying conclusion.

FBI Agent Mike Warren is sent undercover amongst other feds to investigate the polarizing Agent Paul Briggs. The dichotomy between these two characters, coupled with a captivating story and strong supporting cast, creates a tantalizing first season with a thrilling finale.

However, while seasons two and three provide moments of greatness, Graceland begins to lose focus and lose the plot. And, due to its cancellation after the third season, a much needed redemption arc for the residents of "Graceland" was never told, leaving one to wonder if the series could have possibly reached a fitting ending to match the enthralling beginning.

Much like the series' namesake, Graceland unfortunately ends on the toilet. So, fill up on Guadalajara Dogs and Pizza Boxes before the Dog Catches Car. 6/10.

Burn Notice
(2007)

Bottom line? Burn Notice is Fire!
Burn Notice is the most epic spy series in television history, with not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, but 7 seasons of nonstop spy thriller excitement.

The Big 3 of Michael, Fiona, and Sam deliver drama, action, laughs, tears, and tons of EXPLOSIONS in their quest to help the little people of Miami and take down corrupt government hooligans.

Michael Westen used to be a spy, until he was burned. And, when you're burned, you've got nothing... except a story that truly gets better with each passing season. Burn Notice continuously keeps viewers guessing in captivating fashion, while never losing track of the plot and always remaining grounded in its origins. Ultimately, Burn Notice proves that when you're burned, you are going somewhere... to one of the best and most satisfying finales to ever grace television.

The only misfire, the Burn Notice gang never comes face-to-face with Miami's most notorious hooligan, the Bay Harbor Butcher. 9/10.

Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe
(2011)

The Fall of Sam Axe or The Rise of Crimson Chin?
Discover the backstory of the notorious Sam Axe in the second greatest TV movie to ever grace USA Network.

You know spies, bunch of silly little girls... good thing Sam Axe isn't a spy. He's also not a ring announcer, snooty usher, or maître d', he's a Navy SEAL in need of a mojito. Stuck in the Colombian jungle on a dead-end mission, Commander Axe uses his charm, wit, and savvy to attempt to save the day and make the Evil Dead.

Not a Nightmare on State Street, but the Dream on Ocean Drive for every Burn Notice fan looking for a double shot of Chuck Finley.

Long live the Flaming Sword! 8/10.

The Benchwarmers
(2006)

Gus Bus shifts into overdrive.
Witty humor, enthralling sports drama, and a heartwarming message brings The Benchwarmers all the way around the bases for a Home Run.

Gus, Clark, and Ritchie form a dynamic trio, rivaling Alvin and the Chipmunks or The Powerpuff Girls, as they set out to win Mel's Tournament of Little Baseballers and Three Older Guys. Whether they're mowing lawns, tossing newspapers, selling DVDs, or participating in America's pastime, this trio stirs up plenty of laughs as they climb the ranks of little league baseball.

While they may not be 12, $10 bucks says The Benchwarmers will bring a tear to your eye. 8/10.

George Lopez
(2002)

Do all your friends know the Low Rider?
George Lopez has never been funnier. A fantastic comedy that provides nonstop laughter and stays true to itself from the first episode to the last.

While the plot waivers at times with storylines that don't always come to the most satisfying conclusions, it never takes away the comedic charm of this family sitcom. Not to mention, George Lopez is not afraid to tackle real world issues and provide real life lessons in a way not seen in any other comedy at the time. Ultimately, this is a truly revolutionary series in American television.

And, if you never woke up at 3am to the beats of "Low Rider" then you haven't truly lived.

Sabas que... George Lopez remains an all-time classic. 7/10.

The Sopranos
(1999)

Don't stop believing...
Don't stop believing in The Sopranos. Years after the epic conclusion, this may still be the best TV series of all-time.

Set in the beautiful state of New Jersey, The Sopranos offers a look into the life of Italian mafiosos. Following the life of The Don of North Jersey as he claims his position as boss of the family, this series provides twists and turns to keep the viewer guessing. Through these twists and turns, Tony Soprano proves to be the most dynamic protagonist in the history of television. Despite his heinous actions, Tony remains a compelling character that one can't help but root for throughout the series. Through sessions of therapy and introspection, the viewer is drawn into not just Tony's life as The Don, but also his psyche... the psyche of a lovable sociopath. Hope remains to never stop believing in Tony, just as he never stops believing in his family, but often times the theme of "the more things change, the more they stay the same" rings true. All in all, don't stop believing in Tony Soprano, just enjoy the ride till it fades to black.

Recommended for everyone, not just members only. 10/10.

Men in Black³
(2012)

Will change your perception of the entire MiB trilogy.
Coming 15 years after the first and 10 years after the sequel, Men in Black is back and just as great as ever.

The Fresh Prince and Tommy Lee's chemistry remains strong after all these years, even in their limited screen time together. While Will Smith also shows tremendous chemistry and comedic timing with Josh Brolin. Brolin, who portrays the young Agent Kay, proves to be charismatic, charming, and humorous unlike the renegade purple alien, Thanos, who does not appear in this movie about policing aliens.

Despite not possessing the time stone, Will Smith and Boris (don't call him The Animal) both manage to travel through time, providing a riveting twist compared to the previous MiB films.

It is in the past via time travel that one's perception on the entire trilogy changes. Turns out Kay and Jay met like 40 years ago. This mind blowing scene provides explanation for why Kay is a big grump, why Jay was recruited by him to join MiB all the way back in the first film, and provides a new lens for viewing all of their interactions throughout the previous movies. Jay was neuralized to forgot this ever happened, but Kay could never forget... how could he. As this scene unfolds, the heart of any viewer with a pulse will break.

Overall, don't sleep on the third MiB... it might just be the best of them all. 8/10.

Men in Black II
(2002)

Men in Black II: Men are Back
Comedy. Action. Aliens. And so much more.

I found Tommy Lee being neuralized in the original MiB to be a misstep at first, however it provides a fantastic setup for this sequel.

Agent Jay, Will Smith, sets out to find his neuralized former partner, only to find him as a postman in a lighthouse. Much like The Lighthouse, Men in Black II challenges your sense of reality and makes you ponder who may be an alien amongst us. This scene also confirms a long running idea that all postmen are aliens, much like Newman in Seinfeld.

While not a thriller, this action-comedy follows the reunited Jay and Kay to take down the smooth alien criminals of our world and tell them to beat it. Men in Black II also provides evidence that Michael Jackson is, in fact, an alien and may be the King of Aliens, in addition to the King of Pop.

All in all, the worst of the MiB trilogy, but still an instant classic. Recommended for all ages, people and aliens. 7/10.

Men in Black
(1997)

Hobo with a Shotgun meets Ghostbusters
I mean what more do I have to say. Will Smith and Tommy Lee defend the galaxy and prove we are not alone in this world.

Honestly, upon rewatching, this movie very accurately depicts the Earth on which we all walk... amongst beings from other planets. Not only is the historic accuracy of Men in Black fascinating, but it provides a great canvas for us to examine our own world, lives, and experiences.

As one who has ventured to New York City on many occasions, I can attest to the fact that aliens inhabit every borough of the Big Apple. On another note, Apple Macbooks are compatible with alien firmware according to another Will Smith classic, Independence Day.

Overall, a great start to a fantastic trilogy. 8/10.

Impractical Jokers: The Movie
(2020)

Abdul clotheslines Sal
Movie is full of great gags and hilarious pranks. If you're a fan of the show, this is a must watch. If not, watch it anyway.
