Killers Anonymous
(2019)

Really?!?
This is one of the most darkly funny movies I think I have ever watched. Anyone who has ever been involved with a 12 strep program, and can look objectively at those programs, might enjoy the morbidity of the whole thing. But as it turns out, the program is not a real12 step program but sort of a recruitment/interview/mentoring thing, which is why I found it so amusing.

The acting was mediocre even thought there was some decent actors involved and the attempts at getting the audience to emotionally align with any of the characters was really poor but the overall idea was great. Too bad there was too much randomness to the plot lines adn it fell apart trying to make something of itself.

H. H. Holmes: Original Evil
(2018)

I am glad I am not the only one.
I see many of the reviews here are not in the positive vein. I have watched a few documentaries in the past about serial killers and about Holmes in particular but this...why did someone waste their time making it much less any of us who wasted some time watching any of it.

I noticed another reviewer mention an early glaring error, the location of the 'castle'. It was no where near downtown Chicago. Even the Wikipedia entry indicates it was 3 miles from the World's Fair site which was on the lake which is also not close to downtown Chicago.

The imagery was, obviously, meant to invoke emotional responses and raise the anxiety levels for the audience but the pace of the narration and the inappropriate images really make that not work.

I was more captivated when I watch rain run down a window in the Baltimore airport several years ago.
