Red Dwarf
(1988)

What can I say? Hilarious!!!!!
This show is one of the funniest shows I've ever watched and one of the best sci-fi shows, too! Rimmer is the classic jerk, Lister is the most unlikely hero, and everybody else (especially Norman Lovett and Hattie Hayridge as Holly/Hilly) is just awesome! Sure, Season 7 was pretty slow, but Season 8 was an improvement. I'll be first in line for the movie!

Ever Decreasing Circles
(1984)

Not Richard Briers' Best Work, But Above Average And Funny
This show is basically a tour de force for Richard Briers as Martin, the ultimate control freak. Penelope Wilton, as Ann, and Peter Egan, as laid-back neighbor Paul, are also terrific. Howard and Hilda are too boring, though. This show never fails to make me laugh and I thank PBS for running it as long as they did.

A Fine Romance
(1981)

Boring
This isn't a show that is easily likable. In my opinion, Judi Dench really doesn't succeed at doing comedy. Michael Williams and Richard Warwick are funny, though not as funny as Geoffrey Palmer and Philip Bretherton in "As Time Goes By". The late Mr. Williams succeeds as an everyman-type character. I think this show, in spite of the odd good moments, is somewhat boring, but the again I'm American.

Andromeda
(2000)

Awesome show with a great future!
When I first saw this, I felt like I was watching a "Babylon 5" or "ST:DS9"-type show, which I enjoy. Kevin Sorbo is awesome playing someone who isn't Hercules for a change, but my favorite character would have to be the intriguing and sexy Trance Gemini, wonderfully played by Laura Bertram. Great writing also makes this show a winner!

Whose Line Is It Anyway?
(1988)

Best show on TV-PERIOD!
This show is hilarious! Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie, Tony Slattery, Josie Lawrence, Steve Frost, Mike McShane, and Paul Merton are all on my list of the funniest people alive! And Clive Anderson makes a great moderator-type host! A classic! Anyone who is thinking about ever doing improv should see it!
