Sijipeuseu: The Myth
(2021)

Really hope there is a season 2.
This show isn't in the same realm as DARK (a similarly themed time travel show) but it's not bad. I see a lot of hate around it here and there and just wanted to put my thoughts down.

The characters are solid. All the actors played their roles perfectly. The story is very easy to follow for a time travel show (which is not easy for some time travel shows to do). The characters are wel thought out and the back story for the supporting characters comes in an interesting way. You find out about their past from their past which hasn't happened yet. Like a guy watching his past self be mean to his wife and hating himself for it. That kind of thing.

The graphics were well done. There was very little cgi work to speak of. The time periods felt great and the characters experiences in those time periods felt relatable.

I loved this show. It's got a lot of interesting takes.. And if you like time travel and are interested in seeing people use and abuse time travel like no other time travel show has done.. Then this is the show for you.

Cosmos
(2019)

Honestly amazing.
This deserves such a higher rating everywhere. And it could do with some better cover art for the poster. I almost didn't watch it because of the poster. It made me feel like it was really old but then I checked the date and realized it wasn't. So I checked the trailer and it seemed decent so I sat and watched it and man am I glad I did.

It's not really obvious that this was a low budget film. I heard they made it for around 8000 dollars.. But if Primer has taught me anything it's that you don't need a big budget to make insanely good movies. This movie continues to illustrate that point perfectly.

Despite having a low budget the cinematography is perfect. Lighting and everything was spot on. And due to the story and how it unfolds the entire movie basically takes place in a car. Which doesn't feel out of place or boring. It's actually a fairly intense movie.

The acting is great and the story is great and accidentally educational. I learned some things I didn't know about astronomy and radio signals.

Give this movie a chance and don't listen to the ratings. This movie truly is amazing.
