Ang-ma-reul bo-at-da
(2010)

Some things just dont make sense
This movie is violent, twisted and has explicit and disturbing scenes, i wouldnt recomend it as i didnt gain anything from viewing this movie, on the contrary id say it was kinda upseting. It lacks in few major spots, you got a secret agent that at times acts worse than the average Joe, this threw me off in several parts of the movie. I am not a fan of this genre but watched it cause of the high rating and some reviews i read.

One thing i cannot tolerate in a movie is people acting stupid and especially the leading hero, specially someone who is supposed to be an expert in this field, hence the - lower than average - rating of 6. Instead of making the hero take stupid decisions they could make the bad guy smarter. I wont write in detail and spoil the specific scenes and what happened but if you are a little observing you can easily understand.

Evil Dead
(2013)

Just bad
Wanna have a big sales movie? Spend more money on advertisement and promote the few random fancy scenes from the movie than spending time to actually make a good film. Bam! There you have it. Both me and my friend wanted to leave the "Most terrifying" movie within the first 30' unfortunately we didnt hoping it will get better, little did we know... Yeah most terrifying cause we were thinking why on earth we came to see this thing and even payed for it, no, if fact even if they payed us we wouldnt go to watch it.

Wont even bother to explain as there are lots of other reviews that do that pretty well, 3* and im being generous

La casa de papel
(2017)

Want to ruin a good series? Netflix it!
Season 1 was 7/10, had many flaws but was totally watchable. Season 2 was 6/10, too much drama and even more plotholes. Season 3 was 3/10, the downhill continues and you can understand something has changed. The way the story continues... Logic goes out of the window. They just wanted to make money from an already well known succesful series. Season 4 is 2/10 more drama and nonsense than anything i have seen. I literally was laughing many times because of how bad the scenario and the scences were...

Should have definitely stopped after season 2.

Stay
(2005)

No, you are not a genius if you get it.... because theres nothing special to get actually.
6 stars for the acting and nice production and stuff. Nothing special or genius in my opinion and yes, bad art could be used to showcase the human failure but its something to learn from and avoid in the future, as we can learn from a bad script, here for example.

9 for the acting and the production, 3 for the story, 6 in total.

Ink
(2009)

Poorly advertised, decently made gem
I was wondering if it will be worth my time but since it was in my watchlist for a long time and after reading some reviews that contradicted each other, i decided to give it a go. I've seen movies that belong to the rubish bin so no matter what, it wasnt going to surprise me... but it did in a very good way. If you are patient for the first 20' or so, until most of the things are explained, you will start to realise the deeper meaning the movie has. Ok, there are some things that could be better, acting and plot at some points but there are also great moments and meanings that tottaly overshadow these minor flaws.

I definitely recommend it but i will admit its not for the average Joe and Jane who wants a crash and bang and superstar cast movie for the "wows and yows".

Minor spoiler, after watching the movie i realised that even the names and behavior of certain characters have a particular meaning and are connected to each other.

Daffodils
(2019)

Could be a solid "6" (spoilers on 3rd paragraph)
IF it didnt have a plot blunder towards the end. I guess they wanted to provide a twist to the movie, and they did, but it ended exactly the oppsite way. The particular scene throws the viewer completely out of the movie and what was supposed to be the climax was actually disappointing, a big let down.

Could be a solid 6 maaaybe 6,5 (if there was an option) but no, the ending part messes an otherwise "ok" movie. I fail to follow the thinking of whoever is responsible for that scene, i am surprised it made it to the final cut.

Spoilers: For those wondering if its worth it, short answer is "No", keep on reading for the explanation. The movie is a typical boy meets girl, blah blah, they grow up blah blah, they make a family, blah blah, then the father of the boy dies at the appartment of his affair. Thats something boy has to keep a secret from his mother (although his mother already knows that her husband was unfaithful). Boy's wife smells the perfume (of dad's affair) and thinks that he cheats on her, she also sees them together in dad's funeral where the dad's affair went to give his watch to the boy (how bad plot is that, i'll let you decide, worse is coming).

Tension between boy-girl builds up until girl decides to split, the supposed climax is a few minutes of girl accusing boy and boys says nothing. No, really, thats it, they were a beautiful family but boy says nothing about being innocent and they end up in separate ways, for - practically - no - reason. Major dissapointment, i'd prefer them splitting over wrong babys milk temperature rather than that. There you have it, i hope i'll save someones time.
