Hanma Baki: Son of Ogre: Completely Surrounded
(2023)
Episode 2, Season 2

Total nonsense = incredibly comical
I never got interested in anime or even any type of animated content and only made some exceptions like South Park but this show is just another comedy that uses the possibilities of animation to make weird things look hilarious and by the same principle totally unrealistic situations can be made watchable because the final result is just really funny, from the over exaggerated massive bodies of the characters to their dumb personalities that only purpose is to show how strong they are there's not actually a plot but a bunch of unpredictable situations that end up being hilarious by how them are executed like a guy that can break glass with his bare hands ends up breaking it with an absurdly (totally necessary) entrance that reminds us how unserious is all of it to start with.

Oppenheimer
(2023)

It's not what I expected but is a great movie anyways
Nolan makes another excellent movie as expected and the quality is still outstanding, but this time is different, it's a biopic about a real person and some controversial themes and it somehow manages to keep the plot intriguing and building up conflicts that make interesting to know what's happening to the characters, it's very dynamic how a lot of characters are being presented in the movie by separate moments that connect through the storyline and how are represented the different personalities, it gives all the depth to Oppenheimer to see his development as a physician, politic and as a person with feelings but also gives the other characters the importance and exploration so they don't feel like just backgrounds characters and the cast fits great, the legal conflict is a part of the story that gives a bigger retrospective to the events and just a personal complaint it was longer than expected but it's supported by the surprising evolution of Lewis Strauss as an antagonist and the emotional side that is mainly revealed by Kitty Oppenheimer's character.

The Menu
(2022)

I tought it was a comedy but...
I can't review this without spoilers it was not enough for a 10 but great , the nihilist character of Anya Taylor was the least likeable character until a twist shows how sick was Tyler(Nicholas Hoult) and probably the most hilarious scene happens there, at this point a lot of things happened before like the first blood that at least for me was unexpected, the secondary characters compliment eachother as everyone is different and they are presented as people who deserve a punishment with moral dialogues and are contrasted with the Chef that can be seen as a villain with a lot of mistery that also has moments where you could root for him, a very hateable waitress and lots of twist between the movie, maybe the ending could be better but it's a wild concept with a good cast.

Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker
(2019)

Best Star Wars movie
I really liked it and I'm not a big sw fan, it was very entertaining and the story made sense for an unrealistic movie like this. Is not perfect but an enjoyable film that improves action from past movies and tries something new, the only big trouble I find annoying is the exaggerated amount of enemy ships at the end.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
(2016)

Still a bad movie
I can't believe there is people rating this movie 10/10 yes is not the worst thing ever but is far from being a great movie, be objective and don't rate this as a masterpiece just because Zack did other good movies.

Iron Man 2
(2010)

Love it!
Maybe a personal taste but this movie is one of the best marvel movies, the action is very entertaining and VFX aged well too, it actually had fun jokes and the villains are understandable, the movie is very cool and also manages well a lot of characters, Don Cheadle was a good decision as War Machine and the Black Widow introduction was fine, i also like they used different locations like Monaco and the garden battle.

Bloodshot
(2020)

I don´t get why is hated
This movie is entertaining from the beggining, the action sequences are very well done and the visuals are interesting, not a masterpiece but i enjoyed a lot watching p.d: Eiza is stunning.

Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood
(2019)

Surprisingly good
I´m not a tarantino fan and i heard this movie was boring so i was not interested in this movie, but i saw this movie and is actually good, the story goes up and down through a lot of situations not connected at all showing the contrast between those characters, DiCaprio is a succesful actor afraid of becoming useless in the new industry while Robbie is an unknown actress enjoying his young life in hollywood, also Brad Pitt is a unique character that for some reason looks like a good guy, being partially redeemed of his past, you don´t need to understand all the context of the 60´s to understand the situations and the ending can be very entertaining if you don´t take it so serious, the bad side of the movie is the feet closeups, very unnecesary and disgusting.

Spider-Man 3
(2007)

worst spiderman movie and one of the worst of marvel
Is a bad movie, it´s ok to enjoy bad movies but how can people say this is better than Andrew Garfield or Tom Holland saga, and is not fault of Sony like Maguire´s fans say, is just bad written and directed, not rewatchable for me.

The Amazing Spider-Man
(2012)

Better than i remembered
I rewatched this movie and now it´s my favorite spiderman movie, is basically a remake of spiderman1 but maguire´s trilogy aged bad honestly, this one has better pacing and amazing visuals, the Lizard is not as iconic as Dafoe´s Green goblin but has a good story and fight scenes and the dark tone of the movie is interesting tough i like Jon Watts comedy too, extra points for Gwen Stacy and Stan Lee cameo.

Army of Thieves
(2021)

Nice and entertaining!
This movie is a comedy but they managed to put some serious stories without feeling bored, it doesn´t have too much clichs and the pacing is better than army of the dead honestly, yes it isn´t a revolutionary movie but is a very entertaining movie with great photography.

Injustice
(2021)

Superman is not bad as i tought
I haven't read the comics but the movie take a very interesting concept, is not about Superman becoming bad but he avoiding all the nationalities and politics to make a better world, he makes some damage through the film but is understandable and the characters aren't all bad or all good (except the jokah he is unredeemable) i liked to see a batman being more human, the bad things are it is very rushed and the nightwing strange revival.

The Bad Batch
(2016)

Love it or Hate it, you SHOULD watch it for yourself
I can´t tell this movie is good or bad, but is very unique, after watching a lot of commercial movies is refreshing to see films like this, it has A LOT of suspense through the movie, what i find interesting is the contrast between uncomfortable silence with hard to watch scenes and trippy songs with amazing cinematography, don´t wait for the dialogues because the pacing is slow and the fun is the VISUAL storytelling, the characters show multiple faces of humanity and i had a unique experience... But after this intriguing trip the end throws away everyting the film was doing great and leave it without purpose.

Brightburn
(2019)

Generic horror movie
If you expect a superhero movie with a dark storytelling or well written characters with plot twist don´t watch this, the main character doesn´t have good reasons to turn bad (and they don´t explain if he´s possesed or something) and you can´t empathize with him, basically is a horror movie with lot of clichs and gory deaths where the killer have superpowers so if you like messy horror movies you could love this, not creative at all.

Ant-Man and the Wasp
(2018)

Very creative and fun
The movie is a lot of entertaiment and it surprised me how most of the screentime is action scenes (Not violent lol) with very funny ideas like the "hotwheels" and laughable comedy, not as other generic marvel jokes, the villain is confusing but it has a tragic story after all, it has his flaws like the physics are nonsense and sometimes the vfx is weak but still a really entertainment film, if you haven´t seen go watch it.

Arrow: The Demon
(2018)
Episode 5, Season 7

Best of S7
Maybe slabside redemption has better reviews but this is a better episode, Talia is A LOT more interesting character than Diaz or darhk because she is not bad at all and one dialogue of hers can make you feel empathy for the character more than 30 minutes of any other villain, and the fight scenes feel less generic than other episodes.

Army of the Dead
(2021)

Unexpected in a bad meaning
As a Snyder fan i like how he handles the visuals but there is nothing else here honestly, Batista going beast mode is far an example, it got some scenes with great suspense and worthy to watch fights indeed, the ending of the movie is the worst of all and gets even more disappointing every minute, when the first hour was used to show the characters i thought the simple plot would turn to a deep story on how this changes everyones lives (and some deads obviously) , but instead we get a heist that goes well and turns into a massacre with pointless sacrifices that lead to nothing, the worst charcter surviving and a mission that ain't changed absolutely nothing, maybe the film has an ironic meaning that those who understand would love or if you are someone who only wants to watch blood and smart zombies you would enjoy this after the first hour. But in my point of view is an entertaining but unsatisfying movie that didn't fulfill my hype.

Mad Max: Fury Road
(2015)

Simply amazing
What makes this a good movie is not a script or deep characters, is a simple plot that makes you remember cinema is an art that not everybody understand the same way, the originality even when based on a previous trilogy is something never seen before, well performed visuals and digital effects give a flawless 2 hours of entertainment and an unique movie for the decade PD: The soundtrack fits perfectly to the scenes making them even better being different to usual sounds
