Contraband
(2012)

One of my all-time Favorites for reason
I gotta say, Contraband is one of my favorite action movies of all time, it delivered exactly what it was supposed to under Baltasur Kormarkur's vision. Mark Wahlberg took us into the world of contraband, Giovanni Ribisi is the throw a fit man who charges 700k for a bad run and wants his money in a hurry, Kate Beckinsale is the wife that wants what's best for Chris Farrady, played by Wahlberg. But my all time favorite moment about this flick is when J. K. Simmons is a captain. It had a lot of funny moments, a lot of tense thrills, and it was just an absolute blast in full entirely. I don't think any other movie will hit my absolute top 3 without this one being on top. I've been watching these guys for a long time and these types of movies are always an absolute blast to see.

The Duchess
(2008)

My take on this
This is one of those where you gotta actually sit down and watch before you can enjoy it because there's no action so it's hard to get into it. I was pretty surprised that I was able to make it through this one. I'm not gonna lie I like seeing Kiera Knightley in action films like Pirates of the Caribbean, not period pieces such as this one. It's rather interesting once you get into it. It's not that great but it has its flaws.

Jupiter Ascending
(2015)

What's with the low rating for this one
I'm currently watching this movie for the first time since it's release in 2015 back when I was in high school, and I'm absolutely hooked with this one so I don't know why this movie holds a low score of 5.3 because it is absolutely stunning in all it's glory. It's like nothing I have ever seen. Sure it has its flaws but it's a wild sci-fi ride you're bound to take over and over again.

Days of Thunder
(1990)

32 years later and this movie still holds up.
My take on this is over 30 years later and this movie still holds up. Why this movie has a score of just 6.0 is an understatement to me and downright diabolical and underrated. Every movie I seen that Tom Cruise is in is good. Throw Robert Duvall who was previously seen in Tender Mercies (1983) a movie I did not take very well.and Nicole Kidman and you got yourself a fun racing adrenaline flick.

300: Rise of an Empire
(2014)

Wow.
You would have thought if you haven't seen this movie, then you had seen them all, boy, was I wrong. A warning this movie has blood and guts and utterly disturbing, but not if you like violent action movies like this one, released 8 years ago. The first one takes place in land but this one on sea. A wave of tidal blood. Kept me wanting more but this one had to get over with too soon.

Demetrius and the Gladiators
(1954)

A lot better than the first, which is quite unusual
A string of 50's epics and both The Robe and this film both starring Victor Mature and the first one was quite wooden but this one is looking a lot better. A lot of action scenes, and we still got the evil emperor involved. Victor Mature was sentenced to the arena even though he won't kill because he is Christian and it is a sin to kill supposedly. He is being investigated everywhere he goes and then goes to use sorcery. Be on the lookout for Ernest Borgnine.

The Robe
(1953)

Very Slow but does have potential to get better.
Couldn't get past 30 minutes at all. It's very Slow and meaningless, can't wait for the sequel though. That's the same for Quo Vadis (1951). It's all in all not very good so just very wooden acting from Richard Burton.

Barbarians
(2021)

Not very good at all
Looks like all talk and no action up until the last half hour of this senseless thrill ride that's not very thrilling at all. It's just a slow boring flick set in a country home where dark secrets explode into violence that set in a home invasion where but all it's is really is what I'm calling a senseless thrill with no thrill at all. I'm not sure which genre this movie truly belongs in, but this is one that's just too slow for me.

The Wind and the Lion
(1975)

One of the best movies I seen from the 70's.
I usually don't watch a lot of 70's movies. But this movie from 1975 had a good starting scene that you know you might be hooked once you start watching. It's got a lot of action, not enough to be boring like most of the 70's.

Deep Water
(2022)

I can see where this is going.
This guy name Adrian Lyne back out making erotic pyschological thrillers and his latest is no different and it might be too soon too late for a comeback for somebody who have vacated his place in the director's chair for over 20 years. An erotic thrill ride with some electric pulse and kill kill kill is what he does best on this one. Now he is under arrest. He is a bit rusty on this one.

Broken Swords: The Last in Line
(2018)

All talk and no action
I think this movie is going to be one of my picks for one of the worst movies that I've seen this year. This movie can't even get even close to a 6.0 which is very sad at my taste. The whole movie takes place in a barn where all they do is whine and bicker, they got blood and cuts all over themselves but this movie doesn't tell you a doggone thing about how they got bloody in the first place. We only got to see arrows shoot through the walls but other than that, it looks like it's just going to be background noise at this point.

A Day to Die
(2022)

Why the low ratings..
I thought this movie was easy to get into, and stay into even though it was a VOD, I thought it was fun to watch, yet it's Bruce Willis who has been having his movies rated low since the 2020's yet I dont see why. Nothing wrong with this movie.

House of Gucci
(2021)

Really hard to get into
There are many movies I've seen that have been really easy to get into cause you know what you are in for, like the latest Bruce Willis movie that was included in the latest streak of failing movies that he made luckily that one was not judged as bad by me, but this movie I'm currently reviewing is not easy to get into, in fact it's a really hard to stay focused on because there's all talk and no action. I have not made it past 2 hours currently listening to this program because I'm currently reviewing based on the first hour on this movie. This movie is extremely not that easy to stay in or get into. Unless you like long biopics, the cast is not enough to save this long snooze fest from being panned by me. So unless the second half gets good, this is the official score.

A Sound of Thunder
(2005)

Who allowed this kind of trash to be made.
I usually am a fan of sci-fi, fantasy, horror and thriller movies but this one is one that will just put you to sleep because there is really no interest in it at all. It's not interesting and just a boredom that's a snooze fest. Get a grip, Peter Hyams now.

Eight Crazy Nights
(2002)

Why all the hate.
Adam Sandler and comedy never disappoint cause it's comedy after comedy after comedy. You do that you'll want an automatic rejection cause that's a technical foul. Do you have to be nasty to everyone that tries to help you. It's the most crudest comedy classic I ever sees on IMDb TV and the first of it's kind. Whiteys voice is annoying but tolerable.

Das Boot
(1981)

Destined to become a foreign war classic.
I just bought the 209 minute director's cut, and I've managed to get through 1 hr and 48 minutes of this movie and it's just that damn good so if I can get through the rest tomorrow, then I will give this movie a full 10.

The Tempest
(2010)

Not that good. Why they make such a waste.
Currently viewing this movie on YouTube and already seeing some flaws with this movie that probably justifies why this movie received such a low rating on IMDb and that is the very same reason why it is not passing in my book either. This is supposed to be a motion picture fantasy but acts like a comedy. Does not know what it wants to be, whether it wants to be a fantasy or just bore somebody to death where they can't get past the half hour mark. This picture just purely makes no sense at all, how would you like to be seeing creeps like that on TV. An all star ensemble cast and it's just a disgusting movie but it's not the absolute worst movie I've ever seen, but it does need some work , just a flawed movie that needs to not be flawed.

Mulholland Dr.
(2001)

Can't really get into this movie, so not gonna bother finishing it.
I'm not really a fan of David Lynch work at all, and the beginning of this movie is disgusting so I had to turn it off. I'm not going to finish this picture because it is slow and boring a cop picture that is not very good very trashy couldn't get past no 10 minutes.

Never Back Down: Revolt
(2021)

Fun sports action thriller that never gets kicked out.
This got to be one of the best direct to video sequels I've seen in a long time but not one of the best of 2021. Great Concept, keeps us interested, and never lets up.

30 Days of Night
(2007)

What a fun thrill ride. This movie pulled it off
My favorite vampire movie goes to 30 Days of Night from 2007 because this one pulled it off for me. Way better than 2002's Queen of the Damned. Great Concept treated this like a vampire apocalypse where 98 people get slaughtered and killed during 30 Days of night where there is no daylight and all dark time. This is a truly original concept that has hardly ever been done before but never been brought to the big screen until 2007. It had a lot of action with horror mixed in. It was exactly what was described and in the tv Trailers for this movie basically was telling us what we were in for. I gotta give this a 10 because this one went way out on this one. If you haven't seen this, get on it.

Warning
(2021)

If I Could give this a 0, I would
This was absolute one of the worst movies I have seen this year alone, it's probably the worst movie of 2021 that I seen for good reason, I thought Reminiscence was bad but this is way worse and probably should not have been made at all. This movie is just straight up mess, and bounces all over the place like they didn't know how to do it. There is little to no scifi in this movie, there was no action in this at all, it was just slime basically. If I could give this movie a 0, I would but I can't so I'm giving this movie a 1 because I have to give it something. Every movie I seen I evaluated, but not every movie was reviewed because I didn't have to when it's that good or bad that I don't need to really say anything but this movie is not one of those movies that nobody should see unless there in for a absolute scime mess that was really not necessary. So this movie has failed miserably on my book and will not recommend until it airs on Tubi TV for a one time watch.

The Addams Family 2
(2021)

This movie keeps putting me to sleep, must not be that interesting
This is only a temporary review, I will change my score once I get through this disaster of a movie that this is. Can't even get through 10 mins of it, it's that bad. I don't think we need or want any more unless they can make it darker, wait they had time to do that.

Domino
(2005)

It's looking like an Enjoyable mess
Love it or hate it, it's an Enjoyable mess. There's a lot of fun shooting and a lot of cursing And a bit of story but that's it's.

Reminiscence
(2021)

Lost interest even with Jackman on this movie.
This movie was my cure to insomnia and it never even really took flight. It tried to but failed miserably. Not even worth renting don't waste your money on this movie. It's a flooded future Miami, when the waters rose and war broke out, there wasn't a whole lot to look forward to. It had a few action scenes but never really even took off. Not even Jackman, who I have been rooting for should have saved this movie, or Ferguson and Newton could save this movie. It was just nothing but a bug letdown. For those hoping it would be like Inception, nope. Go see Blade Runner if you want a darker dystopia.

Locked In
(2021)

If you like heist thrillers, you'll like this movie.
This movie was getting hit hard by negative reviews due to the fact that they couldn't control the two folks. I rented this last night for 0.99 and that's all its worth because every line that the kid had to say on this movie was so selfish that humanity would shut down. If you can't pay, you can't stay, is Mena Suvari's motto but when she finds out that she can be forced out of her home for not paying no rent, she cries for extra time, stupid right. Costas Mandylor playing a dirty cop and Jeff Fahey playing one of the bad guys who wants his diamonds. And they won't leave until they get what they want, I almost want to describe this movie as So bad it's good kind of flick. There was no control on this movie it was full of holes over half throughout this little actioner. Wait until this movie starts streaming on Tubi TV, where it's free cause it's not worth more than 3.99 at all.
