Poor Things
(2023)

Unique
The movie we wanted to see was sold out. So we paid to see this one. Not knowing anything about it. It's an unusually unique concept film. Some parts of the movie may make some people feel uncomfortable. Not because of any gratuitous violence but rather because of the sexual aspects. The movie that was sold out we watched the following week and it wasn't as interesting as Poor Things. So we consider ourselves lucky to have stumbled upon this film. I may have went a little overboard with the 9 out of ten but maybe because after we left the theater it was an unusually beautiful evening and a feeling of peaceful calm overwhelmed us. After thinking about the movie I still feel it deserves no less than a 7.5 out of ten.

The Twilight Zone: Static
(1961)
Episode 20, Season 2

Gets Better With Time
As he's switching through the Television channels we get a glimpse at what Television was like back then. The Cigarette commercials, and The Auto Race with the classic 1950 style Automobiles. We also get to see The Old Pay Phone with the Rotary Dial that cost a nickel for a local call. Not to mention The Classic Radio dated from the late 1930s that today would be worth a considerable amount in premium condition and would also be nearly impossible to find parts for. We also get a feeling what it would've been like when Television was in its infancy and families huddled around listening to the Classic Old Time Radio Programs.

Alfred Hitchcock Presents: The Cream of the Jest
(1957)
Episode 24, Season 2

Act the part of an Actor
I would suggest that you watch this episode if only to prove that Claude Rains was one of the all time Greatest Actors. Not only that but for the excellent storyline and the as always (Alfred Hitchcock presents) unpredictable endings. Sure the characters are for the most part unlikable as were most of the characters in the Alfred Hitchcock presents television series. Nonetheless the Acting (as with most of the Alfred Hitchcock presents television series) is superb. The original Alfred Hitchcock presents television series was one of the all time greatest television series ever Written, Produced, and Acted in the history of cinema.

This Stinks
The original game show was actually about playing a competitive game. This newer version is all about how the much the Emcee and the hosts can stroke their egos. This over the top obnoxious drivel can not even be considered a game show. It's very much similar to the other recent attempts at remaking game shows. They never come anywhere near duplicating the quality of the original. Unfortunately they end up hiring some egotistical Hosts whose only objective is a failed attempt at humor. None of the new Sunday night game shows come anywhere near the quality of the original series. ABC, NBC, & CBS all need to find something original with quality talent instead of these new flash in the pan unfunny egotistical Host & Hostesses.

The Carbonaro Effect
(2014)

Hilarious
Great concept for a reality Television program. The reaction from some of the unsuspecting.participants is Hilarious. I can't understand why anyone couldn't just accept the program for what it is. It's simply a magic show with unsuspecting participants. Ok maybe not all the participants are as astonished as you would want them to be. But overall in my opinion it makes for Great Television. In my opinion it is by far much better then most of the scripted Situation Comedy programs that just rehash the same old schtick over and over again. Give it a chance and I believe you will agree that there is nothing else like it.

The Alfred Hitchcock Hour: Final Vow
(1962)
Episode 6, Season 1

Good episode
I really enjoyed the story line. The acting was above par as it was for most of The Hitchcock series. I have always loved the unpredictable outcomes of the majority of The Hitchcock series. Although I have never been attracted to blonde haired women. Carol Linley was one of those unusually attractive women who could have dyed her hair any color and still looked gorgeous. She wasn't as great an actress as Audrey Totter but yet still believable in this role. This episode is worth watching for the story line if nothing else. The Hitchcock series is a must watch series for anyone who enjoys great writing and great acting.

The Cosby Show
(1984)

Forgettable
I've always loved listening to Bill Cosby album's. He always made me laugh. A sitcom was a terrible vehicle for Mr. Cosbys style of humor. In this sitcom he went for grade school type of humor. Making silly faces, and walking unusually different, all the things we did in second grade to make our friends laugh. The acting was terrible the jokes were for the most part weren't funny. I'll admit i did love the morality that the show.exudes but unfortunately not much more than that. Unfortunately I won't be looking for this in reruns. With a brilliant talent like Cool Cos. I guess I expected to much.

The Original Kings of Comedy
(2000)

Misleading Title
If this movie had comedians like Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Robin Williams, Chris Rock, Rodney Dangerfield, or Dave Chappell. Only then would the title of this movie come close to The Original Kings of Comedy. This movie came no where near to being funny.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
(2014)

Unwatchable
The only reason I gave two stars is because Jimmy does great impersonations. Unfortunately though he does not have quick wit and he let his inflated ego get the best of him. I agree this is the wrong format for Jimmy Fallon.

Ask This Old House
(2002)

Great except for "what is it"
I have always loved this show. Both me and my brother agree the "what is it" segment is silly and unfunny. It would be so much better if they just introduced the new gadgets and told us what they are used for.

MotorWeek
(1981)

Very informative
Touching on almost all types of transportation in addition to infrastructure. I would love to have access to every episode on DVD. Imagine being the people who get to drive and test the new vehicles.

All Is Lost
(2013)

Above Average Movie
Hollywood again comes through with this gem of a Movie.

Stand by Me
(1986)

Very entertaining
Why can't Hollywood make more movies like this. This movie has almost everything that makes movies great. It's no surprise that it comes from the mind of a genius (Stephen King).

Joe Versus the Volcano
(1990)

Waist of time
I'll never understand how garbage like this can receive funding.

Modern Family
(2009)

Started out strong then faded
The first five seasons were excellent but then it started to go down hill little by little.

Seinfeld
(1989)

Well written terrible acting
The show was never as great as The Honeymooners although it was well written. With the exception of Michael Richards the acting was terrible.

The Wild Wild West
(1965)

Unrealistic
In my opinion this series was made for the Women who enjoyed watching James West running around in tight pants. The show was boring and unrealistic for the time period.

Leaving Las Vegas
(1995)

The Hole Your in
This is a very disturbing, depressing, true to life, yet captivating movie. The Acting is top notch. The Soundtrack sets the mood of the film perfectly.

Alfred Hitchcock Presents: Lamb to the Slaughter
(1958)
Episode 28, Season 3

Hitchcock's Best
I have seen every episode more then once. This is the best IMO.

Dog Day Afternoon
(1975)

It's okay
The acting was good. It will keep you engaged. Lots of different spins to keep the movie interesting.

The Honeymooners
(1955)

Television's finest
Not only was the writing superb, the Acting will never be topped. Jackie Gleason, Audrey Meadows, Art Carney together on the same show unfortunately we will never have that much talent in the same room again.

The Carol Burnett Show
(1967)

Very entertaining
My favorite part of the show was when Carol would answer the audience questions with her quick wit.

Columbo
(1971)

Best cop show ever
I was never into cop shows considering I could watch the real thing on Cops. But this show was so well written and Acted. Anyone who loves the original Sherlock Holmes series as I do will love this show.

New Girl
(2011)

Just Awful
A friend of mine said he liked this show so I thought I would give it a chance. It was really Awful, unfunny, unoriginal, poorly written and Acted. Later on I found out my friend was infatuated with Zooey Deschanel, a woman who I find unattractive except for her beautiful Blue eyes.

The Twilight Zone: The Obsolete Man
(1961)
Episode 29, Season 2

Somewhat Orwellian
A constant reminder of what could happen in an Orwellian reality.
