Ghislaine Maxwell: Filthy Rich
(2022)

Records exist
There are literal records of people who visited Epstein's island. Until they are made public and every single name mentioned in them investigated rigorously, this will be one of the most blatant misuses of power that the general public has been made aware of, and then ignored.

Make no mistake. This entire saga is no more an indictment of the people responsible than of the people who take it with a proverbial grain of salt.

We know these crimes persist. There are more billionaires with islands and resorts and ranches and they will not persist with their monstrous crimes.

This isn't a success. This is a sad proclamation that we can do nothing to affect change to how the rich and powerful choose to live.

The Batman
(2022)

Amazing, but...
Don't get me wrong. This movie is incredible. Every actor who has to deliver, did. The story is fresh while using very old subject matter and the characters feel unique while also bring household names.

The problem is, Paul Dano. I've been trying to put my finger on what put me off for a long time. Then I re-watched There Will Be Blood. The problem is, Paul Dano is too good I'm that film. I couldn't see anything but his character Eli, in the riddler. I just couldn't shake the familiar fever pitch tones of his voice. The riddler would have been an amazing movie villain... But There Will Be Blood was just too good.

Still upset Daniel didn't donate to the church, apparently.

The Midnight Club
(2022)

Mike Flanagan can stop now...
This is bad. Very, very bad. Don't sell a series as horror and then have it be gossip girl with cancer.

The haunting of hill house was amazing. Couldn't wait for the next thing written by Mike Flanagan. Everything he's done since has gotten progressively worse and now it's unwatchable.

I won't be watching the next thing he creates.

I have no idea if he creates wooden characters to hopefully make the story more compelling or if hill house is the last original idea he had.

But the dialogue is ridiculous, especially for characters of their supposed age.

The story is even worse.

Zero redeeming qualities. 0/10.

Pete Davidson Presents: The Best Friends
(2022)

Unbearable
How bad is the comedy scene when Pete Davidson is big enough to be presenting anything. Let alone a who's who of people you will never hear from again, and a guy famous because he's girlfriend was in that movie one time.. 0/10.

Stranger Things: Chapter Nine: The Piggyback
(2022)
Episode 9, Season 4

Bots leaving positive feedback for sure
The most hack-y writing all season for sure. Everything that nearly killed the show season 3 and more. Wooden storytelling and an absolutely unnecessary death compared to the other introduced characters since season one in comparison. Maybe it pays to be the kid of Hollywood stars, I dunno... Absolutely no follow through that matched the build up of the rest of the season at all. Horrible acting, directing and writing when the rest of the season promised so much.

A real shame.

The Boys
(2019)

Start hiring Anthony Star
Why isn't this guy in every third movie being made in Hollywood. He killed it in Banshee and he is absolutely, can not look away from the screen, amazing in this show. Either his agent secretly hates him or Hollywood just sucks that much.

Imagine this show with literally anyone else playing Homelander. You can't, right? 11/10.

Midnight Mass
(2021)

So. Many. Plot. Holes.
Basically the message is even the most well meaning Muslim is useless against the worst kind of Christian... Or something like that. Who cares. The writing starts so good and culminated in a whole mess of loose ends and terrible acting because the script fell apart on actors otherwise doing a good job.

It'd be 1 star but the bad guy looked cool...

Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker
(2019)

Why bother
You could hand the responsibility to a 6 year old with a crayon and they'd do more with the stories build up than these script writers did. Horrible. Disappointing, and uneventful to an astonishing degree

Vikings
(2013)

Worse wrapping up than GOT
The writers and producers love for Ivar have absolutely ruined a great show. The writing has been progressively worse since the fourth season and its now just the bold and the beautiful with bad accents. Don't waste your time.
