Clarkson's Farm
(2021)

Good show
It's been done in a way that shows the farming lifestyle to a wider audience that will enjoy it. It doesn't make things over complicated and is pleasurable to watch. Although some cringe moments exsist it really does show an inept Clarkson trying to find out how to farm.

The supporting cast make a massive difference in how the show works. Unlike other farming programs this one is done in a way that is entertaining and informing at the same time. Some shows like countryfile seem to obscure the realities of farming to appease a more sensitive audience. This is notable when Clarkson takes lambs to slaughter and is emotional but is then shown eating one. A reality that many farmers have.

It is also notable for that it shows how poorly paid and over regulated farming is.

Hunters
(2020)

Season 1 was 10 but season 2 is a 1
Season one is brilliant but after a 3 year break season two is just a disaster. Watch the first season as it really is good but avoid the second season.

The main protagonist had a great storyline in the first season but by the second he is nothing more than a cheap Ted Bundy.

I am honestly shocked that season two was even released. I originally thought I had playback error but now it appears that the audio really is terrible and doesn't sync up with the poorly lit video.

I waited so long for the second season only to realise that if it didn't arrive it would probably be a lot better.

The lack of story writing poor quality and overall incredibly poor acting isn't worth the trouble. Killing season ones antagonist in the first half hour of season two only serves to show that the creative writers have lost all their imagination.

You would expect season two to wrap up the twists and unanswered question from season one but it does this as well as a wrap from taco bell holds up.

Season two seems to conjure up images of James Corden, Megan Markle, and useless entertainment execs. This is the 2023 version of Cats the movie.

Hocus Pocus 2
(2022)

Was excited
Was so excited but this reboot just lacks so much. A lot of classic gags were redone in a modern way, not a bad thing but when it's a carbon copy for so much of it.

This film genuinely feels like a cheap knock-off. They moved from the story of the sisters coming back after being dormant to becoming protagonists of the film as opposed to antagonists. The old small town Salem is now nothing more than a middle class fever dream suburb.

Some classic movies can be redone well but this is really just another sequel pumped out by Disney to gain money and avoid being original in writing. It feels like they asked an essay farm to write the script and just went with it. The cast were all strangled by the film and the storyline.

There is no point in saying Thai review has spoliers as if you have seen the first one you will be deeply saddened by this reboot.

House M.D.
(2004)

Good show
Good show but can be a bit repetitive at times. It's not a series that you can binge but the odd episode is perfectly fine.

The casting of Laurie was brilliant a dark sullen Doctor that brings humour in from dark comedic quips.every episode follows the same pattern although there were one or two that didn't and they were really good!

Definitely worth a watch but it has to be done over time instead of a binge as you will get bored easily bingeing it. Some character development towards the later seasons are badly done but overall it is a good show. The filming of it is done well, the storyline and dialogue is good.

Hard Cell
(2022)

Enjoyable but really below what it could be
The first episode is really and and the storylines are cringe. Feels like it's trying far too hard. I wanted to enjoy it more but after the final episode which contained the majority of the storyline it felt like it was rushed and is utilising really mundane sterilised comedic vehicles instead of being funny it comes across as weak humour.

A lot of the jokes just seem to be that of a penguin biscuit and as a result it tries not to offend when in reality it needs to either focus more on the comedic aspect or the drama instead of trying to merge the two themes.

Hullraisers
(2022)

Suprisngly good
An actual good program from channel four for a change.

The episodes can be quite slow and there is a real danger of the characters storylines falling into the cliché standars of sitcoms.

Frankie Boyle's New World Order
(2017)

Episode dependant
Some episodes are terrible but others are actually quite good. Unlike some hosts he has no trouble listening to his guests even if they push a differing opinion.

I believe if this was on a different RV network it would be a lot more risque and controversial.

The Mash Report
(2017)

Drivel
A show that take satire and kills it with really bland jokes. Self agrandising middle class comedians telling people what's funny.

This show just gives another reason to axe the tax for the bbc.

Late Night Mash
(2021)

Absolute drivel
Honestly this programme alone is reason enough to axe the tax for the BBC.

It's nothing more than middle class comedians stroking their ego. It isn't entertaining, and as for the humour it's incredibly basic. This program will be the next Jim'll fix it for sure.

The War Below
(2021)

Great film
Great film telling the story of the tunnels dug during the great war, it touched upon the fact that military technology was fast changing and the old guard weren't keeping up to speed. Great movie all round.

The Big Fat Quiz of the Year
(2021)

Terrible choice of guests
Normally the show is really funny but this was unbearable and far too forced with minor comics and ones that are just terrible as comedians. Normally the Big Fat Quiz is a great way to watch TV for an hour or two but this one isn't even worth the first ten minutes.

Luca
(2021)

Really good film
Not my normal go to film but watched it with my nephew's and I actually enjoyed it, a lot of Disney films today are just average and not really worth the watch but this film is really good. Really enjoyable and it has plenty of jokes for adults as well as kids.

People Just Do Nothing
(2014)

First season is good
The first season is good but it has went downhill after that. It's a shame but these mockumentary programs are a dime a dozen nowadays so there's nothing special nor entertaining after the first few episodes.

'71
(2014)

Great film
This film shows the reality of Sinn Fein and their IRA wing in killing of innocent people without care or compassion!

It's such a good story and it also looks at the loyalist guess which were common during the troubles. It is unbiased and shines a light on the dangers the innocent people of Belfast had to endure at the hands of the irsoh nationalists.

Richard Osman's House of Games
(2017)

Great show
Always pleased when I tune in the challenges are good and the show itself isn't built upon tension as many other quiz shows are. The guests aren't well known celebrities but their efforts are still valliant.

Hotel Rwanda
(2004)

Great film
The film is great but it doesn't delve into the issues as much, as a documentary style film it is really good at showing what was happening during a terrible time in Rwandan histroy.

Outnumbered
(2007)

Overrated
This show has it's good bits but is essentially a comedy about middle class family in London. The humour is t there and a lot of it surrounds trying to be funny when it's not.

The fact that this show ran for as long as it did is surprising as it is really bad television down to the writing the individual actors are all great but this show really doesn't do them any justice.

The Royle Family
(1998)

Great show!
This show is incredibly relatable and just all round a funny commentary on family life.

The main characters are perfectly casted and as a show it is timeless in its ability to make Pepe laugh and enjoy themselves.

Car Share
(2015)

Pointless
Peter Kay as a comedian isn't the best but he does have some good ones this is definitely not one.

Car share is a pile of drivel but as it is, it appeals to the BBC and their viewer base which is why crap such as car share which is basically two people sitting in a fancy new car talking crap is so popular. There is no substance to it, and a sa result the show is t worth the time it takes to watch it.

Benidorm
(2007)

Used to be brilliant
Once the Garvey's, Janey, and others left the last few seasons were terrible and should've just been cut far earlier than trying to push further.

The initial seasons were good and relatable but the later ones were just remakes of the earlier seasons with different cast.

Little Britain
(2003)

A bit formulaic
Most episodes also follow a standard pattern and some parts aren't as funny but then again there is a lot of good episodes and storylines throughout the series.

Come Fly with Me
(2010)

A shame there was only a single season
Great show and much more modern than Little Britain. The jokes and take on the idiosyncrasies of an airport are just great.

Pity it never got a second season and it is no longer available on most streaming services. But the DVDs asap and enjoy this timeless classic.

Gavin & Stacey
(2007)

Just amazing
This is one of the shows that you can just watch over and over. Even at 30minutes per episode they seem to be far longer and far more enjoyable.

Hypothetical
(2019)

Insufferable
This show really is forgetble and frankly not worth the bother to watch. It's not the worst show out there but it's just far too scripted and naff. Half the guests they have on aren't even recognisable to anyone that isn't a method drinker.

Ghosts
(2019)

Horrible histories as a drama
This is basically horrible histories as a drama and that's perfectly good choosing to have Charlotte Ritchie as the protagonist is just an amazing casting choice!

The storylines aren't linear so you can pretty much just watch any episode and understand what is happening. Great show to watch and really good for light TV.
