Obnoxious male lead
Male lead's character is so unpleasant, the rest of his family are equally obnoxious. He's a terrible bully and has little to recommend him. Stuck with it to episode 10 and then decided life is too short...

No chemistry
Really poor drama! No chemistry. Park Bo-gum tries his best, though he relies too much on his smile, but Song Hye Kyo is just plain boring. Hard to believe that there is any real attraction. Gave up half way through. Life is too short and there are better kdramas out there.

Well-acted and scripted drama
This is a very interesting take on the theme of multiple personalities. The main character exhibits two personalities- Seo-jin and Robin. Both are played by Hyun Bin whose capacity to embody these two very different characters convincingly is very impressive. The main storyline is compelling and despite some irritating minor characters (especially leader of fan club and father) it really drew me in. Hyun Bin is excellent in this and the screen play is very good. This is a very entertaining drama.

Creepy second lead
Watching at the moment and in last few episodes. Chemistry between Jo Jung Suk and Gong Hyo-Jin very strong- they're very funny together. Go Kyung-Pyo's character is just creepy! He invaded her space right from the start and throws his money around- nothing attractive about the character. I've ended up fast forwarding his interactions and also the insufferable minor characters. But sticking with it for the excellent two main leads.

Dead boring
Ended up skipping through last 10 episodes. Boring characters, poor script, acting so low key I almost fell asleep. I love kdrama but this was not good!

Intense, slow and deeply felt
This is a deeply compelling performance by Hyun Bin and supported by well cast and well drawn others. It was a brave part to take for a young actor in a profession that puts a premium on attractiveness. Being prepared to show yourself raw, dishevelled and beaten down shows his authenticity as an actor. Though slow moving it is never boring. This is an honest portrayal of health and poverty and of the limits of human tolerance of grief, abuse and despair. Well done Hyun Bin, we'll done everyone. Such a shame it wasn't better received. It deserved accolades not dismissal.

Good in parts
With a charismatic male lead and a female lead who is acting by numbers this drama is an overhyped badly scripted mess. It has some good episodes but seriously drags for a good third of them. Weak and implausible storyline with second rate bit actors with Americanised English; serious issues with the ethnicity, politics and geographical location of its overseas context, this is such a mess and I cannot understand its ratings.

Intense, fast moving historical thriller
Wow! Beautifully shot and compelling actin from all involved. Hyun Bin as King Jeonjo is so intense. His eyes and voice hold all the expression. Very restrained and all the better for that. I've seen reviews which said he didn't show any emotion- really? What film were you watching! Han Ji-Min is great too. Really nasty character - so well done. I think it's my favourite role for her. This is my first Korean historical film and really enjoyed it. Cinematography is stunning.

Beautifully shot moody film
I really liked this film and don't understand why its rating isn't higher. Sure, if you like movies full of action this is not for you but if you want a wonderfully shot moody depiction of a pending breakup then you're in for a treat. Hyun Bin is superb as the husband whose quiet response to his wife's infidelity and decision to leave masks a deeply felt palpable sadness. The tension between the two charges the atmosphere with feeling even if little is said to express it. There was a moment when the wife tended a wound on the husband's hand which was so beautiful and delicate in its portrayal of emotion- that alone makes it worth the watch.

Great evening's fun
This was great fun. Plot complicated but layers revealed at exactly right time. Very well paced and not a boring moment. Great villain. HB great as always but great supporting cast.

The King: Youngwonui Gunjoo

Does not live up to expectations
Thought this would be good as I like sci fi and it started well. The female lead is really good, sparky, great personality bit the King is just plain boring! What a disappointment! On episode 8 now and may not finish it.

Moving and beautifully paced drama
This was one of the most emotional dramas I've watched. From its cinematic opening scenes (beautifully shot) to its ending it packed an emotional punch. It's theme music is equally beautiful Both leads were wonderful and supporting actors really good. Hyun Bin was very sensitive in his acting and created a compelling character whose life was upended by a tragedy. Very believable, very moving portrayal of grief and guilt. His character's relationship with his mother is very well drawn. His versatility and sincerity as an actor is evident even at this early stage in his career. Will definitely watch it again.

Inventive, exciting, well paced
Excellent sci-fi- creative, intelligent, full of excitement. Hyun Bin is wonderful in main part. Acting great all round. Ending very clever, complex - leaves you wondering.

Refreshingly different and well-paced
Song Hye-kyo and Hyun Bin head up this clever, well-paced drama set in the world of television. The chemistry between the two leads is wonderful and their sparky relationship provides the frame around which interesting subplots are woven. Good supporting cast, enjoyable storytelling, believable relationships- what's not to like! Will definitely watch it again.

Brilliantly acted complex drama
This drama is wonderful and should be more widely available. Not to be missed. Brilliantly acted drama, complex characters and relationships, gritty and authentic it deserves to be an international classic. Would love to see it reissued for new audiences.
