Elvis: The Ed Sullivan Shows
(2006)

Fantastic DVD box set
This 3 DVD box set includes lots of extra material about Elvis' TV performances and other life, but most of all from beginning to the end, with commercial and others, those three Ed Sullivan Show episodes where Elvis Presley did perform.

These shows are remastered and they look prop ably better than they did 50 years ago. Also this is the first time that somebody can watch this episodes from the beginning to the end.

In USA this cost only about 18 dollars and in Europe about 35 euro, and it's totally worth of it's price.

Elvis in Concert
(1977)

Simply great
This is last TV special of three Elvis Presley ever made. '68 Comeback Special was perfect rock 'n' roll concert, Aloha from Hawaii was concert with all kind of songs and perfect, and this is sad image of a man who started it all but who had to die young because of it.

The King sings great songs from early days, including Jailhouse Rock and Hound Dog. He still rock, but doesn't look that good than he did few years ago.

After all, this is great concert, and good testament to you all from the King of music.

10/10

King Creole
(1958)

Perfet master piece
King Creole is the most greatest rock 'n' roll movie ever made, and beats up also many other music movies.

Michael Curtiz has done fantastic work in directing. Actually this is his last masterpiece, and also one of the best works. Personally I enjoy this more than Casablanca.

Elvis Presley is great in the film. If you have seen his stupid music movies from later years, you won't maybe believe it. Love Me Tender, Loving You, Jailhouse Rock, King Creole, Flaming Star and Wild in the Country are great drama movies from the King. Follow That Dream and Kid Galahad are great comedies, and Charro! is great western.

Elvis: Aloha from Hawaii - Rehearsal Concert
(1973)

Nothing less than perfect
It was year 1973 when Kui Lee Cancer Foundation had change to get very big donation from the King of Music, Elvis Presley. Presley, NBC and Marty Passetta produced this most expensive TV special ever in that time with 2.5 million dollar budget. NBC sold it to more than 40 countries which could air it via satellite, and they made a fortune to Kui Lee foundation.

This is rehearsal concert for "the" TV special, Elvis: Aloha from Hawaii. This includes same songs, but Elvis makes it different way. They tested electronic and lights with this concert, and in same time they got footage to use if something would go wrong in live special (but nothing did).

Elvis' performance in this is perfect, but not that perfect than his performance in the main concert is.

Elvis: The Comeback Special
(1968)

The King is back!
In 1968 Elvis wasn't popular. He had made last 8 years movies and poor soundtracks. Now he was going to make a comeback by his own way.

Elvis sings greatest rock 'n' roll songs ever on the show. His stage charisma is just something unbelievable, and he looks better than ever before! Black leather suit suits Elvis.

Steve Binder had many great ideas, and we can say thanks to him that we see those great camera angles, like the own from the top op stage. He sure did know how to make a good TV special. Also the new version on the Deluxe Edition DVD is perfect!

Almost 40 years old show, but it's still new.

New Gladiators
(1973)

No Elvis Presley on it
Well, "New Gladiators" was Elvis Presley's little dream in the 1970's. He was planning to produce feature documentary starring karate champions, and appear himself as an narrator.

Well, always when they would have time to shoot, Elvis didn't want to. He was ill or he had something better to do, but one day they get Elvis to the karate hall where Elvis made few karate tricks, and it sure was fun to watch. It was fun to watch then, and it was fun to watch in 2005 in DVD of "Elvis by the Presleys".

Anyway, this documentary doesn't include Elvis Presley at all. It's wrong to say that it's written by Elvis Presley, because the film was never made. Elvis wouldn't have like this because it's nothing like he was planned it to be.

7/10 because it's better than many sport documentaries.

Elvis: Aloha from Hawaii
(1973)

Hail hail rock 'n' roll
This is it, folks. This is the greatest concert of all time. To me it's to see the light.

Elvis Presley looks more handsome than ever in the film. He sings better than ever, but doesn't do so much rock 'n' roll than he made in the '68 Comeback Special (original name "Elvis"). There he was king of rock 'n' roll, in Aloha from Hawaii he is King of Music.

Special Edition and Deluxe Edition DVD's includes the new edition which is much better than the original US version, which was aired later than the live concert to Asia, Europe and other areas.
