Star Trek: Discovery
(2017)

the epitome of sucks
I am long time, big fan of star trek. Love Strange new worlds. This particular series however should be buried as quickly as possible, delete all planned episodes. This show of unlikable whinny characters makes me ill to watch. Saru is the only interesting character that is part of this nonsense. Especially annoying: Adira and their michael jackson lookalike invisible friend.

Did i need to say more about how bad this is? The worst star trek ever produced...

I also can not watch anymore, .... I have tried to get it but really stop wasting time creating more of this drivel.. .I have said enough.

WeCrashed
(2022)

so unreal... wait,,, it is real?
I live somewhere there is no wework. I have watched this thinking it is a fictional business, is there really a "wework"? What do these people do? Why so many employees when they are just renting out space to others that actually do work, and why are they so connected as a group. If I rented a space from some entity I would not be a part or care too much about my landlord. If I was a company that had remote workers it seems far worse to locate my employees at we work then to have them stay at home.

It is well made show as far as that goes and acting is OK but the underlying story is far from inspiring.nI really dislike the arrogant characters portrayed, am I supposed to admire them? I do not. This is dross.

Billions: Cannonade
(2022)
Episode 1, Season 6

why axe got the axe?
I keep waiting for Axe to come on screen... What happened to Damian Lewis? This show aint nothing without his charisma and character. Why would the producers even want to continue without Damian Lewis? Paul Giamatti is an excellent actor but his role is not enough to carry the show, he is the one we always want to lose on his schemes. Prince is just boring. Why anyone would get excited about him, he is just too real life, you know he is lying hypocrite. Why is there a placeholder for a season 7, just kill it already! Save yourself the embarrassment of flogging a dead horse!

We Are Lady Parts: Sparta
(2021)
Episode 6, Season 1

enjoyable program
I found this program to be wonderful and feel good. I like the characters and diversity. Especially I appreciate the supportive parents of Amina. Deserves more notice. Glad to see a season 2 is coming.

Dickinson: "Hope" is the thing with feathers
(2021)
Episode 1, Season 3

SEASON 3?
I am not sure this series needed a 3rd season, the concept had kind of played itself out. I really irks me when there is so much modern language and mannerisms and portrayal of Emily Dickinson as a Civil War soldier, that just boggles the mind. I would doubt there was even a single femaie soldier on either side of the civil war, perhaps one or two in hidden disguises. I want to be woke, but come on, how does it help to re-write history completely. The only thing that saves this show is when the actual poetry of Emily Dickinson is recited...

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: The Elysian Kingdom
(2022)
Episode 8, Season 1

Weakest episode yet
Sorry, I could not get into this one. Perhaps it could have been improved if it was an off ship visit to some planet with better reason that the scenario was entered into.

Inspector Morse: The Wench Is Dead
(1998)
Episode 4, Season 8

PC Adrian Kershaw could have lead successor series
I rather enjoyed this episode, a good one for sure from a great TV series., I enjoyed Matthew Finney as PC Adrian Kershaw. It seems there was a missed opportunity by the producers to have continued Inspector Morse with a new series centered around the newcomer (at the time). Adrian Kershaw had some the same qualities as Inspector Endeavor Morse and I would have enjoyed a few more episodes at least from the pair developing relationship along the lines of an apprentice to the master detective.

Dune
(2021)

Really quite well done
Forget the hype and the negative lash back. This is a solid movie. The film kept my attention throughout. Great casting especially Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides and Stephen McKinley Henderson as Thufir Hawat though I would have rather seen the roles/actors switched around and instead had Jason Momoa as Gurney Halleck and Josh Brolin as Duncan Idaho.

I have been watching more TV episodes rather than movies as of late and I am really convinced as of this Dune that it should have been give several seasons to fully present the story of Dune.

While watching the film version I kept thinking how compressed the storyline was, so many important elements are left out or left to one liners. The truncation of the story makes the film seem a bit choppy. There are many nuanced elements of the book that are completely lost. Though, I give kudos to the makers of this film that I have the opinion that the movie stayed true to the book. The film is just not long enough to give it justice.

I am hoping for a good showing at Oscars, this film deserves it.

Sahara
(2005)

Tinariwen
Is there an uncredited track from Tinariwen in this movie? When Dirk and his companions first arrive in Mali boating in on the river, the song playing in the background? Tinariwen is one of the greatest ever bands I have ever heard, so much talent ....

Bad Trip
(2021)

not perfect but hope to see more
I enjoyed this though far from perfect. The prank and live feel works fairly well I think people are reacting in a way I would expect. I love comedy and we need more comedy so I hope Eric André gets a bigger budget for his next go around. This is not a great movie but is something I respect.

Beneath a Sea of Lights
(2020)

the actor Barkhad Abdi
I really like the actor Barkhad Abdi I hope he gets some better scripts to work with

The Mandalorian
(2019)

Mandalorian blows it all away
There is a lot of great TV shows around in the past few years, but seriously The Mandalorian blows it all away... such a great and flawless series

The Walking Dead: World Beyond
(2020)

Disney meets the dead
The key word is BORING. Too many long getting to know you talks without the action and drama of the series it spawned from.

This is the "YA" version of the walking dead. Young Adult, made for high school age level.

The Twilight Zone: A Small Town
(2020)
Episode 8, Season 2

The Shadow Year
The plot is an adaptation of the Jeffrey Ford novel "The Shadow Year"?

Guest House
(2020)

Seriously , this is bad.
I am very forgiving when it comes to comedies but there is nothing to recommend here. worst comedic actiing ever

IMDb Originals: A Celebration of LGBTQ+ Stories On Screen
(2020)
Episode 106, Season 3

Midnight Cowboy
Did i miss it on this listing?

Midnight Cowboy? Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman?

Patrick Melrose
(2018)

few comments
It is curious that "Michael Jackson" is listed as an executive producer. Is that supposed to be a joke? It is in the news about Michael Jackson, the King of Pop and his attraction to boys. Then would he make a film like this?

One aspect of this depiction is that Patrick is told to have suffered under his father's peculiar attentions for "years", yet the boy actor in his first instance of his attack is the same as the one that tells the father off that he will not do it any longer, he has not aged years. Is that part supposed to be fantasy on the part of Patrick? He only wishes he told his father it is all wrong from the very start?

Jessica Jones: A.K.A. Customer Service is Standing By
(2019)
Episode 4, Season 3

Trish Walker bleh
Trish Walker bleh, not interesting... is this about Jessica Jones or what... too much Trish Walker in this episode and the previous. I am getting tired of this show

Origin
(2018)

A tad confusing
Sometimes the story structure of building on a series of flashbacks that may work well in a movie does not work in a TV series. I guess this should only be watched as a binge series because it is hard to keep track of what is going on. The series starts some where in the middle and keeps jumping back to scenes on earth, one cannot keep track of the characters and story line. Maybe it is just me, I should be paying more attention while watching.

Lovejoy
(1986)

lovejoy still great after 30 years
