Navajo Joe
(1966)

Two Hours
If you watched this film you just wasted two hours of your life that you will never get back.

This film has been added to my list of "worst ten films I have ever seen." If you have something else to do please do it.

Paint the barn, pull some weeds, learn a foreign language, or at least take a nap.

The writing was bad. The directing was bad. The plot farcical. This is a prime example of some rich kid with too much money looking for a toy to play with. I get the feeling that the producers needed a tax write off, and this was it.

Movies should be made with the heart, not the wallet. There was not heart in this film.

Don't be afraid to turn off the television and go for a walk!

Who to blame?
Who do you blame for a movie like this? When you watch a movie you can easily blame an actor for not putting in a good performance, a writer for a flawed script, or a director for not getting the right job out of an actor, or a casting director for a miss-cast. In this movie you can blame all of them, but, the bulk of the blame goes to one certain group: the producers.

Alan Greisman and Frank Price must step up and take most of the blame for what is wrong with this film. This was a get-rich quick scheme that got what it deserved. When you set out to make a movie only for the money, and not for the movie, and there is no heart in it from the producers, this is what happens. There must be an undying passion from a film maker for it to show up in the final product on the screen. Here it just didn't happen. No heart in no heart out.

Money talks and bullshit walks, and if you look at the following numbers, you can figure out which one this film is:

Production Budget: $38,000,000

Total US Gross: $623,374

The Fury Within
(1998)

Medium
It starts out good, but finishes flat, a promising idea that disappoints. The acting/direction in some of the scenes is wanting. If you have something better to do, don't let this one stop you.

This seems to be a low budget affair. There are times when Costas Mandylor's accent seems to have about three variations.

One bright spot, the architecture of the house.

The movie was made in Queensland, Australia, but you can't tell it from the movie. It is set in California, and goes to great lengths not to show anything recognizable. It is a shame that they didn't go ahead and make the setting Queensland, and shot some local landmarks.

One goof: During the baseball game they had the home team at the top of the scoreboard. Anyone who knows baseball, the home team goes on the bottom.
