The Shawshank Redemption
(1994)

Amazing, Original, Inspirationally brilliant...
The Shawshank Redemption, is one of those films, that stays in your mind long after the credits role off the screen. It is nothing short of a Masterpiece, adopted from a story written by Stephen King, Entitled "Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption". The story takes place in the 1940's, in New England, and opens with the murder Trial of Andy Dufresne (Tim Robins), who is being tried over the murder of his wife and her lover. Andy is sentenced to life imprisonment, over a crime which he maintains he did not commit.

It is here, confined within the grey stone walls of the Prison, that he meets "Red", played superbly by Morgan Freeman. Red and Andy become the most unlikely of friends, and over the years their friendship grows. Andy shows Red that there is always hope, even in the bleakest of circumstances, and Hope is what will set you free.

The Shawshank Redemption is remarkable in every aspect. The storyline is fantastic, and the director pays a lot of attention to every part of it. The prison cellar shots are extremely realistic, even though they are built on a giant set. The acting is supurb, from the lead characters to the supporting cast. All in All, this film is nothing short of Brilliant, and will go down as the greatest film i have ever seen. 10/10

What About Joan
(2000)

Thumbs Down
Well, i will have to disagree with the rest on this one. I think the show is terrible. Maybe its cause i think Joan Cusack is an idiot. She just tries to hard...it is the biggest case of "over-acting" i have ever seen. She just pushes her expressions beyond what u can consider to be realistic (Jim carrey style). Except Jim pulls it off with a bit of style... Anyway i give it the thumbs down...Thankyou!

Training Day
(2001)

this film is a Sleeping Pill substitute.
Ok. Now i would like to start, by disagreeing with the comments of everyone who said this was a good film. firstly, this film was not well written at all in my opinion. The film didn't go very far, and took a hell of a long time to get there. I spent my time sitting through the movie, until the end, which was hardly worth the wait. i went to see this film with 9 people...and the best response it got from anyone was that it was "average". Please...go and see anything other than this snorefest....
