Are you kidding me? I don't go to the movies anymore because they've become out of my reach financially. So, while trying to decide what to stream one night, I saw that Interstellar had an 8.6 rating. I know that means nothing in and of itself, but a neighbors son told me it was fantastic. I was skeptical going in because anything that stretches the credulity of science too far doesn't interest me. No spoilers here. I'm just going to say what many have already said. This film is based on absurd premises and I had a hard time following the plot at times. I was hoping that something extraordinary would come along to save the film, but, as others have said, it gets worse as it goes on. When I saw Kubrick's 2001 at the theater when it came out, I was fascinated. This film looks like something thrown together in a hurry by Hollywood. I can't imagine a team of people agreeing that this finished product was ready for the screen.
