Good Mystery so Far
Whose idiotic idea was it to have Mandy Patinkin put on the world's worst English accent for no reason? That's hard to get past, but otherwise so far this is a fun mystery with good pacing and good performances. Even Patinkin if you can get over the useless accent is good. I'm looking forward to the rest. I will say it has a very familiar vibe, so if your into Murder on the Orient express or Hercule Poirot or any of the other ensemble murder mysteries I have a feeling this will be satisfying. The modern time frame set on the vintage yacht provides a little twist on the ambience of the genre. I'm liking it. But get rid of the accent Mandy!

Agent Game
(2022)

Do not pay to watch this
Terrible. Elgin's in the middle and ends in the middle. Predictable and typical. There is absolutely nothing new. I gave it 2 stars because the actors aren't bad. How many times have we seen bad "agents" turn on their own? How many times do misfit recruits save the day? This movie doesn't even go so far as to explain why? There really is no plot. No reason that anyone is betraying anyone. There's no reason that so many "innocents" have to die to protect the bad guys. We have no idea what the bad guys have done. Even the so called "evidence" is fuzzy. The ending is just stupid. When Gibson says "we have a problem" I think he means they ran out of time and money to make a decent movie or writ a good script.

Hate the Narration love the story
The narration is sappy and unnecessary. If you can't communicate the feelings expressed in the narration, you are being lazy. The character and writing and action should show us the feelings expressed in the narration. We shouldn't and don't need to be told. Telling us is too obvious.

Bring the Funny
(2019)

Poorly Written and directed - Just bad
The worst thing you can say about a comedy show is that it's boring. This show is so unfunny and contrived one wonders how it got made. Keenan Thompson is a funny guy and is ruined by this show. Just terrible.

Game of Thrones
(2011)

True to the Book, Excellent, a Must See
I have read the books (the first three I have read twice, the fourth once). I love the books. So in theory I am pre-disposed to either like the series or hate it because it is not sufficiently like the books. It would be damn near impossible for me to judge the series as if I had not read the books. I have only seen the first two episodes of the series.

All that said, I love the series. The casting is phenomenal. The acting better than some of the best mini-series. Tyrion is spot on (a phenomenal acting job and a phenomenal character). Jon Snow is spot on. Arya Stark, Cersei Lannister, Jaime Lannister etc, etc. The series clearly gives the feel for the book and is true in its characterizations. No series will have every plot detail of a book nor will it have every character exactly as every individual sees him/her, it can't, but this series is very true to the book, true to Martin's writing and true to the character of each player. I can't wait for the next episode. I want to own the series on DVD (Blu ray). I want to go back and read the books.

This Series is a must see in my book.
