American History X
(1998)

Different Meaning
I've read many of the comments for American History and have understood people's opinions for this movie. But I am not sure if they understood the whole meaning of the movie.

The movie is narrated by Danny Vinyard, a teenager who's brother Derek is head of a white supremacy group. During the movie you find out why everything for the Vinyard family goes downhill because of a tragedy that happens. But, what I think people are missing is what Danny goes through.

Danny and Derek are kind of like teenager figures who are lost in today's over abundant society. Danny is trying to get his brother's appreciation because Derek is kind of a father figure, since their father's death. So when Derek started becoming a white supremacist Danny became one too. Lost in anger, Derek becomes very serious about gathering frustrated white kids to help him get back at others. Not to sure of himself Danny goes with the flow. Later on, Derek is released from prison as a new person, after he was sentenced for three years for killing two gangsters that were trying to steal his car. When Derek notices that Danny wants to be a criminal like how he was, he tries to convince Danny that all of the criminal acts Derek did were bull. Danny and Derek both have their own struggles.

The reason why I say Danny and Derek are teenager figures is because during one's youth we experience suffering, peer pressure, anger, love, and life itself to become the person that we are. I myself could say that because people just like you the reader and me go through that everyday.

I hope whoever reads this finds it useful. But remember, this article is just my opinion and thoughts about American History X. I respect anyone else's opinion, if they hated it or liked it. I just want to get a point out.

Transformers
(2007)

I was totally mistaken!!!
A couple of weeks ago I was bragging about how great Transformers was going to be, but I was wrong. The movie was just a Mighty Morphin Power Ranger action movie. No offense to Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg but the movie was a not well put together movie. The acting was horrible, some of the characters were annoying, the action was sometimes impossible to see because of how much stuff was going on the shot and the sound effects were extremely and unnecessarily loud. Also the whole movie was basically a comedy that really wasn't funny. The only thing I can't complain about was that at least I understood the story, even though there were some holes and incomplete character plots. Another thing that bugs me is why did the military decide to go to LA to have the robots fight where there are millions of people. Maybe you can figure it out.

Even though I read the reviews about Transformers being a bad acting movie, I went to go watch the movie just to see the action scenes, I knew that the movie was not going to be any good. I am surprised that Steven Spielberg would help produce a movie like this. And in my opinion the only two good movies that Michael Bay has directed has been The Rock and The Island. As for Shia LaBeouf this isn't his best movie. Also John Turturro and Jon Voight sadly did not give a good performance in the movie.

The three reasons why I am giving the movie three stars is because first Megan Fox is really hot, second the visual effects were amazing, and third even though the action scenes were a mess I still found it to be amazing on how they finalized the visual effects all together. This movie just shows how teenagers like me, go to the movies to watch movie junk like Transformers and don't experience what good film-making is. If you plan to go see Transformers I don't blame you, I went to go see it too. But, in my opinion you should save your money and go see a better movie like Ratatouille, but make sure you go in the morning so that you don't have lowlife parents bringing their screaming one month old babies to the theater. I am ashame on how crappy Hollywood is becoming with their movies. As a person who looks forward into studying film-making this movie is not a good example of how the film-making business is influential.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
(2005)

Watching a cat cleaning itself is more entertaining!!!
Before you read this review, I just want to let you know that I love the Star Wars stories and have been a fan since 6 years old. And I truly appreciate what George Lucas has done to the Hollywood industry with THX, ILM, Skywalker sound, and Skywalker ranch.

When I saw Star Wars Episode 3 I was surprised on how crappy everything turned out to be in the movie. The actors were horrible even Natalie Portman which shocked me. The only actor that was good was Ewan McGregor. The effects were horrible, even episode 6 had better graphics. Some creatures in the movie had no point like that annoying lizard/bird thing that Obi-Wan was riding on. Jar Jar Binks made more sense.

A word of advice to all the Star Wars fans who liked this movie, Hayden Christensen is a horrible actor and is probably the WORST thing that has ever happened to Star Wars. I mean even Jar Jar Binks had a character and could act. Episode 1 and Episode 2(except for the corny love scenes and Hayden Christensen) were pretty good and fun to watch.

Revenge of the Sith could have been a good movie if it wasn't for the crappy acting and the stupid digital effects that were put in every shot in the movie.

2007 MTV Movie Awards
(2007)

Why Mtv? Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhy?!!!
OK, I have no idea where to begin so let me just put it like this. Why on Earth is Mtv doing movie awards, they have no taste in movies. They never even had taste in music to begin with. So why are they doing this. They are ruining children's minds with gadgets and crap that they don't need or don't need to see, or hear, the teenagers don't even no how to use the gadgets. Take it from me I go to high school more than 2/3 of my classmates don't even know how to use their Sidekicks. All that money could be used to help dying people in Africa.

There is a girl who goes to my school and was recently in an Episode of Sweet 16. Which when my friend showed me the episode online I could not believe how spoiled and sick kids are in my school. And it is not just my school it is everywhere. I hope these kids who behave like brats will get a message in life and will do the right thing of helping the world not the world revolving around them.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
(2007)

What the?
Why are they making more Pirates of the Caribbean movies? There is no point to them. When I saw the first movie I thought that they did a great job with the story, especially Captain Jack's character. But when I saw the second one, at first I liked it, but when I saw it again it was horrible and made no sense. I am not trying to put the people who work on the Pirates of the Caribbean movies down but they are not really caring about putting a story with a beginning, middle, and end in the movies. All it is, is a bunch of action scenes put together to sell to people who pay to see the movies. In my opinion they should stop making the Pirate trilogy movies and find another story to make a movie out of it.
