I personally found it extremely long, difficult to follow at times (reviewing both part 1 and 2 together), and struggled to stay interested in the movie. It is intentionally made to be subtle as opposed to theatrical, but I did not, overall, find this an engrossing movie. There are a few scenes that have some "pay off," but the ending of the second part is pretty obvious, even to the character. The movie takes way too long to get to these pay-off scenes. It is not entertaining as whole, and it sort of reminds me of Boyhood.

On the positive side, it seems to me, more authentic. So, overall, some aspects of the film-making have potential, but overall I did not particularly like the movies.

Decent film - its strength is in stirring strong emotions. But the character is set up so that he is lionized throughout the movie, or is set up to be (the titular "Shershah") but he was not as humanized as I would liked him to be. It also feels broad strokes, instead of a smooth, detailed and emotional character focused drama. It skips and lurches (not referring to going back and forth chronologically).

I am giving it a 6, perhaps my standards are a little high, but I guess I would overall 6-7. It seems to me the film had good raw material and had more potential. Overall, I think it is a decent film.
