I didn't know what to expect from the movie but I am really amazed by how accurately the subtleties of the post-war society in Sarajevo are represented. Wounds and traumas are still fresh and it takes very little to make them bleed again. But it is such a warm and kind movie, it shows how important keeping ties with the people around you is and it shows the soul of the mahala, the neighbourhood. Well done Pjer Zalica 👏🏼👏🏼. I also am positively surprised by the absence of the usual obscenities that are characteristic for Balkan movies; I tend to avoid watching Balkan movies with other people but Praznik Rada is one I strongly recommend to anyone.
