I had fun watching Yodha, it keeps you on the edge throughout and balances the plot & entertainment aspect properly. Things keep happening that raise questions in your mind along with good twists to engage you. The action is top-notch and brilliantly executed, it's very cool to watch. It's well paced just like it should be for a film of this genre. Loved action choreography, especially hand-to-hand combat. My fav has to be the 360-degree one on the flight, it was awesome. The interval block was crazy, I genuinely felt the thrill there. And salute to Red Chillies VFX, who once again shows why they are the pioneer of this field.

Sidharth Malhotra impressed me a lot and left a big mark. He shows he has the persona and screen presence in him to be an action star. There were some moments where I felt like hooting. The dramatic scenes, the intense ones, attempted humour scenes, even heartfelt scenes - he did a good job, it was a proper Sid Show. And those little SRK references he gave were so sweet.

Climax kind of lacked the punch and there was some routine stuff towards the end for sure (which is getting too repetitive these days), but otherwise, I appreciate the overall efforts. It's a solid popcorn entertainer and nice enough for a good theatrical experience.

Transporting us back to 1990s nostalgia, All India Rank in a simple way beautifully explores the heartfelt struggle with academics, dreams and aspirations, the personal life of students, family dynamics and most importantly the journey. Varun Grover captures the world beautifully, it's such a sincere and honest attempt from him. You could feel the vibes of love and warmth throughout, it was wholesome. Those visuals and animations were integrated in a creative manner. And the music was so cool, cannot get "Noodle Sa Dil" out of my head. The film actually struck a chord with me and I could relate with Vivek to an extent on a personal level.

I wish the film was longer as I was invested in it properly and I was craving to more of this world. And please don't compare it with 12th Fail, both are very different from each other and are good in their own ways.

Pariah is a brave attempt for a Bengali masala film with a very different theme along with the style & treatment we usually get. Amidst the constant detective stories, treasure hunts, and family dramas this comes as a refresher. Kudos to director Tatagatha's vision. With its dark, intense, and violent portrayal, it actually pays homage to John Wick. The action sequences are raw & brutal, like there's literally a bloodbath and not taking place in a foreign location with guns and cars, but tools like axes, chainsaws, choppers in dark grim setting of a meat butcher shop. We surely haven't seen anything like that in the Bengali film industry. That builds up the tension. It's complemented by a gripping screenplay. Vikram Chatterjee's performance was great, and he completely reinvents himself as an action hero. Soumya Mukherjee as a villain was not only menacing but was raising some valid questions as well. Hope Pariah is a success and encourages makers to make more such movies in Bengal. Looking forward to volume 2.

Successfully integrated family drama with massy elements with proper balancing. It's a hat-trick for Dev & Arijit Sen combo after Tonic & Projapati. They have understood the pulse of Bengali family audience properly.

I loved the vibe of the movie. It's very heartwarming, entertaining, thought-provoking and engages the audience. Someone called it Bengal's Jawan, and I mostly agree with it. A Bengali big film that talks about politics came after a long time. The anti-corruption and anti-scam elements are very relevant that will resonate with audience in a powerful manner. The drama portions are strong and builds tension properly. The interval block gave me goosebumps. The dialoguebaazi was kinda cool too. The comedy scenes brings a smile on your face.

Pradhan is packed with acting powerhouses, everyone gave strong performances, but Dev & Anirban are the main pillars. Dev is very comfortable in this role, one can tell he enjoyed having shades of his commercial avatar. Anirban Chakrabarti was fantastic, you will hate his character very much. The others were given proper space too & everyone's character arc interlinked with each other properly.

Overall I must say I am impressed with the movie and kudos to Dev for talking about politics in spite of being in politics himself. This partnership of Dev & Avijit Sen has become one of the biggest ones in Bengal right now.

There's a sense of warmth after watching Dunki. It is a rollercoaster of emotions which seamlessly blends the world of Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani. This combo is a dream come true. In this age of nonstop action movies, it emerges as a breath of fresh air. It's very soulful, heartwarming & wholesome. The subject is very bold and surely not many Indians might have heard of it, but it's executed in such a manner that everyone will connect to it. First half makes us laugh wholeheartedly, while second half makes everyone very emotional.

SRK just nails it, his performance is very honest, sincere and he is funny, charming, innocent and so uniquely characterized. It brings back the charm of his soft boy era and it reminds so much of his My Name Is Khan, Swades, Chak De India days. Plus he nailed those monologues. The whole cast here is just excellent. First of all take a boy Vicky Kaushal, what a fabulous performance. He was super duper impactful. Taapsee was very good and she makes a really good pair with SRK. Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover fit in their characters perfectly and deliver outstanding performances. All the characters are well-defined and executed with finesse.

Then talking about the man himself, Rajkumar Hirani. He understands the audience's pulse with precision. He knows how to make us laugh, make us love, make us engaged, make us feel emotional, but most importantly give a good message too. His movies speak to us. His filmmaking style is one that I just absolutely adore, and the emotions he makes us feel are just so profound. He also can consistently hold your attention. No matter where the plot goes, you are completely and utterly invested in the journey. And Dunki is no exception to this. He made a winner.

The actual Dunki portions have been shot really, really well be it locations, camera work etc. The cinematography is absolutely gorgeous and the film is extremely beautiful on screen, especially during the journey the characters undertake. The Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se sequence was absolutely brilliant and my high point of the movie. The way songs have been placed take the story forward.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed Dunki. I laughed many times, I was at the edge of my seat a few times, I had a smile on my face most of the time and even almost a tear in my eyes a couple of times. He's able to touch such a sensible topic in a light way but then make things dramatic when needed. Dunki has classic written all over it and I'm sure this will join the list of memorable SRK movies.

Decent watch, not bad at all, but big potential wasted. Just keep your expectations in check to enjoy casually. On paper, it's probably the most layered story in Spy Universe. It tried to be a geopolitical thriller, a spy drama, an action flick with shades of serious tone, but execution & narrative didn't come off as impactful & it loses the grip sometimes. There were only a few goosebump-inducing mass elevation moments, so hooting or cheering were less too. Plus tension & big stakes don't feel big. It doesn't match leve of previous Spyverse or Tiger films.

Salman got a cold entry scene which felt weird. Was expecting a proper larger than life start, to see that Salmania tempo. Was disappointed by that. But surely film has its share of engaging & entertaining moments from time to time. Action scenes are cool and fun to watch. They were great with callbacks to previous movies in the series & seamlessly tying up Zoya, Tiger & Aatish's backstories was impressive.

Salman genuinely puts in efforts here, he emotes well in some scenes & showed that screen presence & charisma. Katrina is awesome in action, totally showing the aura for those roles. Although Emraan Hashmi nails his role, but his character doesn't get much chance to grow like Jim. He could've been the next big bad guy in the Spyverse.

The best part is SRK's cameo sequence, he set the screen on fire. Everyone went wild as soon as Pathaan bgm was played. His charisma was off the charts. His vibe totally pumped up the film. It was a blast to see him and Salman together, their camaraderie is fun. Was craving for more of them together. Plus they did a good job with the set-up of War 2 in post credit scene, that one was awesome & Hrithik totally set the vibe. I am excited for that.

Bagha Jatin is a perfect blend of mass and class. Dev delivers emotional depth and showcases his action skills, especially in battles against the British and a tiger. He brings that mass superstar charm and screen presence that we haven't seen from him in years. The film incorporates various massy elements where he truly shines. Dev brings Jatindranath Mukherjee to life, and this may be his best entry scene since 'Challenge.'

The music and background score are top-notch which creates a big impact. The rest of the cast complements Dev quite well. Arun Roy, once again, proves himself as the go-to director for historical biopics. The story covers ideology, politics, and a formidable villain. His vision and scale are reflected in every frame and action. Bagha Jatin is a cinematic gem in the Bengali film industry that truly shines on the big screen.

In today's day and age of family dramas and detective films in Bengal, movies with such vision deserve appreciation. Dev's maturity and commitment to the role, both as an actor and producer, are evident and remarkable.

This is cinema, peak entertainment. Insane theatrical & cinematic experience, got goosebumps all over. I cannot properly explain the spectrum of emotions I went through, want to live in that moment forever. It's wholesome seeing Shah Rukh Khan in this badass massy avatar, literally a dream come true. His screen presence is at an all-time high, he clearly had the time of his life. Will forever be grateful to Atlee for this. This has one of the best interval block of all time & one of the best SRK entries. So many elevation sequences, you will feel the chills. Action sequences packed a big punch and they are only elevated to another level Anirudh's BGM. SRK broke the 4th wall during his monologue to talk to the audience in his unabashedly political avatar and giving his stance, was extremely powerful. The theatres erupted during Zinda Banda & Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya and people started dancing, that was crazy. Even Imax turned into a single screen. It felt so good dancing with other SRK fans.

Deepika in her limited screen time left a big impact. The way she emoted I felt her pain and she made me very emotional. Nayanthara has that aura & power and I understand why they call her lady superstar. They both were stunning. Vijay Sethupathi was very menacing. Other cast members did really well too, the girl gang were on fire. Some of the scenes made me cry, no kidding. The emotions hit right on point.

To sum it all up - Anirudh did his thing, Atlee cooked his magic & SRK in his charismatic & electrifying best. Add cool characters & cast, emotions, revenge, mass action & elevation sequences, powerful music, strong social message, colourful visuals and we get this beautiful entertainment package called Jawan that captivates audiences from start to finish with proper blend of masala elements. It's a treat for SRK fans & neutrals alike.

After watching thrice already, I can definitely say it has an insane repeat value and gets better & clearer with each rewatch. Will watch again. Audience is in for a nonstop cheers, whistles, claps, shouts, cheering & hooting ride, I am still having a sore throat from all that. It's not a film, it's an emotion that will make you smile and give a heartwarming feeling.

Dev brings a whole new fresh perspective to Byomkesh & proves himself. This was unlike any Byomkesh before and there was an added massy touch. His entry is one of the massiest entry scenes in a Bengali movie. Performances of each and every cast member are solid which elevates the film. Each of them brought a new touch to characters. Birsa Dasgupta's larger-than-life commercial presentation reinvents the detective genre in Bengali films. This is so well crafted and is very gripping & engaging, the plot captivates you. And it's among the most visually stunning movie in Bengal. The production values are impeccable. The music is very powerful, the Bom Satyaneshi track is a banger. The film hits all the right notes. It somehow reminds me of Sushant, Dibakar & YRF's Byomkesh zone. Overall I would say it's a very solid watch and a great cinematic experience.

The Eken Ruddhaswas Rajasthan was an absolute disaster of a movie, and I'll tell you why. First of all, the constant spoon-feeding of information was extremely annoying. It's like the filmmakers thought the audience was too dumb to understand what was going on, so they had to spell everything out for us. It felt like they were treating us like children.

Then there were those long advertisement scenes that were completely unnecessary and did nothing to contribute to the already ridiculous plot. It was like they were trying to sell us something instead of telling a story. That was outrageous. And to make matters worse, the movie had characters literally laughing out loud at their own jokes, as if we needed a reminder that it was supposed to be funny. The humor felt super forced and hardly landed, except for a few instances.

As for the suspense and thrill, well, there was none. The movie tried so hard to be suspenseful and thrilling, but it fell flat on its face. It was a total joke. And don't even get me started on those pointless scenes that contributed absolutely nothing to the plot. It was like they were just trying to fill time.

The only redeeming factor in the movie was Anirban's performance as Eken. He did a decent job, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to save the movie. Overall, The Eken Ruddhaswas Rajasthan was a complete snooze-fest, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

TJMM is an entertaining joyride. It's a wholesome colourful Bollywood romcom after so long, that we were craving for which has that old school family drama elements. It worked for me at many levels. It's really funny & emotional parts hit right spots as well. Ranbir Kappor & Shraddha Kapoor have such electrifying chemistry. Ranbir is tailor made for romcoms, he was so smooth throughout. Shraddha entry with Maine Pee Rakhi Hai song was complete mass. Bassi is well Bassi here. Dimple Kapadia mothered hard here, special mention to her slaps. People were really enjoying TJMM with laughs echoing at regular intervals. Plus it has good emotional depth as well. Last 30 minutes esp climax was so awesome. Songs were a total vibe, every song is a banger. Overall TJMM absolutely manages to balance humour, drama & emotions seamlessly & delivers in vintage (yet fresh) Bollywood style.

Pathaan is peak popcorn entertainment done right, a celebration of cinema & Bollywood. This has everything needed for a grand theatrical experience & having fun with the hyped-up crowd. SRK really came back hard with this one, he along with John and Deepika do some kickass action. I was so emotional when SRK came on the big screen, the theater erupted seeing him return. What an entry sequence that was, that deep voice, charismatic persona & doing kickass action. I was roaring so hard, made me teary-eyed. I had so much fun, my energy level was off the roof.

Shah Rukh Khan is in his element. He smashes it out of the park with his swag & screen presence. His charisma is unmatched. He looks so hot in the Pathaan avatar. Several moments to cheer & scream for him. Plus he emotes so well in those intense scenes, you can see that in his eyes. The thing I liked the most about SRK's Pathaan character is that he isn't shown as someone invincible or undefeatable. Although he was cool and badass, his vulnerable side is shown, he feels the pain - which made the audience feel so close to him.

John Abraham is so powerful & menacing, plays a no-nonsense villain so effortlessly & with class, he came out shining in the role of Jim. His mannerism & dialogue delivery was perfect. He was scaring me on some occasions. The audience even cheered on his entry and many other scenes. When the villain is strong, cunning & merciless - you cheer for the hero even more with much passion. John Abraham does that which totally elevates the film further. The duels, fights & chases between Pathaan and Jim are a treat to watch. In fact, SRK & John have great chemistry.

And Deepika Padukone is not there for the glamour quotient or being a flowerpot. Her Rubai character was very crucial. She is badass throughout and nails the action scenes with proper expressions. She looks so stunning throughout. And she totally slayed in Besharam Rang. Deepika and SRK have such electrifying chemistry, uffff. The duo does great doses of action together and has some funny moments of humour as well as some sexual tension as well. You can see the fire brewing between them, especially with the way they look at each other.

Salman Khan's appearance is very special. His cameo is not just for the sake of it. It actually fits in nicely with the storyline. The bromance between him & SRK is so adorable & sweet, total Karan Arjun nostalgia. Pathaan + Tiger makes me so excited for the future of YRF Spy Universe. The whole train sequence was so much fun. It doesn't matter whether you are a fan of Shah Rukh or Salman, you will cheer your hearts out for both of them. The crowd went bad seeing them do action, best SRK-Salman moment ever.

Siddharth Anand very well knew how to present SRK the megastar properly. He made a promise that we would see SRK, DP, John's hottest avatar and he delivered. He drenched us in adrenaline and his execution was on point, jumps right into the action, and keeps us engrossed. The action scenes were so well executed and well choreographed, it was fun seeing them. And those chase sequences were so well crafted, the visuals were very enjoyable and the tension kept you at the edge of your seats. Backstories and character development were kept simple, but they were sufficient and added depth. The characters weren't sidelined. Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana have been given importance and they shined here. I got emotionally connected to Dimple's character. Vishal Shekhar has handled the music department properly. Both Besharam Rang and Jhoome Jo Pathaan are bangers. Pathaan & Jim's theme is really goosebumps-inducing. That unreleased music for SRK & Deepika was so cool as well, hope they release it soon.

I loved that Pathaan has several references/easter eggs to previous SRK films and real life. The meta-humor used is literally so cool, especially that mid-credit scene. They were so smart and well-integrated.

The film is a proper treat to the SRK fans, Siddharth Anand has induced so many scenes where fan service is there, and hey I am not complaining at all here, lol. Couldn't have asked for a better comeback for King Khan. Pathaan properly celebrates him. The atmosphere that Pathaan built is crazy. There was hooting, clapping, shouting, and screaming all around, and having a great time. The audience really went into a mass euphoria. This happiness has been radiating all over. It was so surreal, was getting goosebumps.

Overall, Pathaan is what you will call a perfect brewing of masala elements - action, emotions, comedy, fun, stylish, sexiness, charisma, and intensity - it has everything to offer to entertain you. PS - Do stay through Jhoome Jo Pathaan song, mid credit scene after that is amazing.

Kranti film came with a lot of expectations, but completely FAILED to live any of it. The whole film drags and moves forward so slowly at snail's pace. The plot is not interesting at all and is just a routine hero against corrupt organisation thing, with that same old social message stuff, that we have seen countless number of times before. And even after keeping all things considered, it doesn't even manages to entertain as well - which was it's main job. The whole setup, camera work, dialogues, cinematography and the action feels so outdated. Even the performances by the leads were not appropriate, it seemed they aren't interested in this film too. And direction is very weak. Overall Kranti is a train wreck and I won't recommend this at all.

That's 2:30 hours of my life I will never get back. Flavourless cocktail of so many Hollywood and Bollywood movies, mixed and mashed togeheter. The trailer was okay, but the film is nothing like that - it completely deceives us. Surprisingly Kangana Ranaut hasn't done a good job here at all. She overacts throughout the film. Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutta and Sharib Hashmi are the saving graces of this picture, action is okayish - but otherwise Kangana, cinematography, story, dialogues, music, background score, direction, VFX - everything sucks. The high budget of 150-200 crore doesn't even get shown here, it seems the movie is made of 2-3 crore rupees only. NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED.

Liked Atrangi Re. Nice fun watch with a refreshing & entertaining story. Good blend of humour & emotions. Dhanush was absolutely amazing, Sara Ali Khan does justice to her character, Akshay Kumar was great too. AR Rahman's BGM & music was beautiful. ALR hits form again.

I liked Gehraiyaan. Complex characters & their relationships are well depicted. Situations were messy & screwed up just like real life. Didn't expect the turn of events surely.

Shakun Batra has done a good job. Deepika Padukone was terrific, can feel her emotions. Siddhant Chaturvedi was good, his chemistry with Deepika Padukone was really nice too. Ananya Panday did well, was natural. Dhairya was okayish. Naseeruddin Shah & Rajat Kapoor were amazing as usual.

Cinematography is really amazing. The film is worth a watch definitely.

Gangubai Kathiawadi is the mass paisa vasool Bollywood Cinematic experience that we were missing. Alia Bhatt totally nails the character. Chills, Goosebumps, Emotional!! Sanjay Leela Bhansali really is a masterful storyteller, was immersed into this world.

What a performance by Alia Bhatt - owned the character of Gangubai Kathiawadi. She dominated every frame with her dialogue delivery, expressions, charisma, dynamic screen presence. Could feel her emotions. She is perfect for the role, wasn't a miscast at all.

Ajay Devgn - powerful performance, esp his eyes. Vijay Raaz - very solid. Seema Pahwa - menacing. Jim Sarbh - good. Shantanu Maheshwari - good debut. Their scenes with Alia Bhatt are so good. SLB's direction is beautiful, visuals were aesthetically pleasing.

Class of 83 doubles as an efficient & edgy action thriller and a character-driven drama that rides strongly on good research, proper detailing, and a solid ensemble of fresh actors It's also decked with a homage to films of the 80s. Bobby Deol really acted well in this. He was surprisingly the best of the lot. The newcomers made a promising debut too.

I just wish it was a bit longer, as the film became too fast-paced and ended quicker than expected. I feel Netflix missed a golden opportunity here. Class of 83 could have been a cult film of OTT. It was infact, more suitable to become a web series. The source content easily had enough material for that. Some portion might feel a bit rushed, but overall the film is good and definitely worth a watch.

Kabir Singh is an excellent unconventional love story with extreme rage, intensity & passion and raw emotions, devastation - all through the eyes of the man who experiences it all.

The lead character is a flawed person & not at all perfect. This is what separates him from the stereotypes. He isn't supposed to be any idealistic person full of moral lessons. The film is a redemption of a flawed individual who was on the brink of absolute self-destruction for those very flaws.

I don't get the rage against the film at all. There is a boundary between reel life & real life, so why not keeping it that way? Moreover, the movie is A rated, meaning matured audience are supposed to watch it. They must be knowing what is coming up. Aren't you mature enough to differentiate reel from real? People have to take it as a film without deriving too many assumptions out of this. All kinds of people exist in society.

And it is not the first time a film with a flawed character is made upon. I think flawed people make for fascinating stories even if you think they are a bad influence on people. People are sane enough to know what and what not to imitate. Was Game of Thrones glorifying nudity & butchering or was Padmavat glorifying Khilji's acts?

Coming to Shahid Kapoor - I won't be surprised if he gets a National Award for his acting. He has acted as per the character's demand, and he has excelled in it. It was a stellar performance with such a tight & solid act. His emotional run-up & behavioural pattern when nothing is going right is just brilliant. I am overwhelmed by his performance.

This has to be his best performance till date, even surpassing Haider, Kaminey etc. It's a long time since he has got his due.

Also, Kiara Advani with her innocence & simplicity, gave a fantastic & impactful performance. The man playing Shahid's friend was great in his part too. The movie beats all the typical love story stereotypes with its adrenaline-pumping background music and hardcore emotions running through and especially the characterization of Shahid Kapoor AKA Kabir Singh.

According to me, the movie has successfully managed to push the boundaries. So I am requesting all the viewers out here not to be judgemental and watch the film for what it is.

Rohit Shetty's Dilwale is a complete potboiler replete with romance, comedy, action and drama. The USP of the film, for me personally was seeing Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan reunite on screen almost 5 years after My Name is Khan.

The outdoor locations shot mostly in Goa and Bulgaria added much needed color, vibrance and grandeur to Dilwale. And to live up to his reputation, Rohit Shetty ensures that Dilwale also boasts of well-choreographed, sleek n stylish, adrenaline pumped car chase sequences. One aspect that stood out in Dilwale for me was the ties of a family that was shown so beautifully. The strong and unshakable love between brothers, sisters and the familial bond that is unwavering in its support and unconditional love.

Finally what can I saw about Shah Rukh and Kajol that has not been already said. They will always be two of Hindi cinema's brightest talents and when they act together it is nothing short of magic. Seeing them on screen floods me with emotion. All in all, Dilwale was one fantastic, entertaining, clean movie that can be enjoyed with the whole family!!!

Udta Punjab is a Cinematic Drug. It made me angry, made me laugh, made me weep. It is a genius piece of art. It is an E-P-I-C movie. Has truly won the hearts of every person. It is so relevant & hard hitting. Such movies come very very very rarely. I doubt I will see such a Powerful film ever in Bollywood. It will be written as one of the golden chapters in the history of Bollywood. One of the best Bollywood film I have seen in my life. It will shake your heart & soul.

The performances are mind-blowing. Shahid rocked in every frame. Such a powerful performance. He outdid his Haider's performance. He spell-bounds you as Tommy Singh. He is sensational as Gabru. Kareena was good too. Diljit will sweep away all debutant awards. He was too good & played his role with ease. I know the reason know why he is called the best Punjabi actor. But Alia's performance is just LEGENDARY. She is on a different level altogether. Her performance was Oscar worthy. Hats off to her for playing such a character which very few would have played.

The music is good too & its placement in the film will not break any continuity & will enjoy it. Lastly hats off to the director & makers for attempting such a bold film & present it to us. If you don't like such dark films, I will suggest you to improve your taste as 80% Indians don't have the taste & caliber to watch such films.

Lastly - ‪‎DRUGS DI MAA DI‬

"A GIRL IS ARYA STARK OF WINTERFELL, AND I'M GOING HOME."

An okay episode overall but the storyline of Arya Stark highly DISAPPOINTING & full of plot holes. The makers could have added so many dimensions it but it just remained one- dimensional. They failed to take advantage of the potential that her story arc had. And regarding Daenerys, we are confused whether she is a hero, anti-hero or villain. Her motives are not clear at all. Rest of the story moved with decent pace with nothing much interesting to add.

Just waiting for the final two episodes of the season which the makers are claiming to be very high paced.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is soundly grounded in family values. You will instantly visit 90s era. Even the songs & background score will remind you of 90s. This film is like a old wine served in new bottle. Those who like 90s style of films will definitely like it.

Sooraj Barjatya has stayed true to his roots. Simple story told beautifully but is a bit predictable. The scale is very huge & is visually stunning.

Among all actors, Salman was best & he carried the film almost single- handedly on his shoulder. Rest were mediocre. The length & number of songs could have been shortened. The action in climax was too old- fashioned. The film is filled with a lot of loopholes, which are needed to be ignored.

Will give it 3/5. Its an one time watch movie.

(PS - ‪‎Dilwale‬ trailer looked so good in big screens. Even Salman was called Dilwale throughout the film.)

There's still a lot to like with Fear The Walking Dead. With a core of great performers, shows can overcome quite a bit. Nonetheless, I'm hopeful that the show continues to remember to give these actors good stuff to do, and not so quickly rely on the genre conventions and ever-familiar beats that we get each week with the original series. Fear needs to keep working to be different instead of rushing to look, feel, and move in the same ways as its cousin series.

Though it featured fewer walkers than the low-key premiere, this second helping of "Fear the Walking Dead" was far more intense, suggesting that series creators Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson might be able to take their spin-off in some enjoyably dark directions over the next four weeks.

That slow escalation of visuals is going to work out really well for the show. We know what the world outside looks like. We know what the world of The Walking Dead looks like. Watching one become the other is going to be satisfying.

I think it was Great! I don't get the people comments, specially when we know that "Fear the Walking Dead" is THE BEGINNING. In fact, I wasn't expecting to see a zombie in the first episode; but I think what we saw was enough. I really liked the characters with their family issues. And I also liked the tone and mood of the pilot. I liked a lot of things from it, specially the video that goes "viral" on-line. It seems to me that the fear at the beginning will be more like a PARANOIA without people knowing what it is really going on. They will feel exactly like the boy when he woke up and he thought he was hallucinating. It seems to me that is good spin-off and it will give us lots of answers. The connections are already there!

I love this pilot mainly because it reminds us of fear which is the title. We're used to the survivors who have had to do some of the worst things in order to survive, this is a chance to create a show based on the fear of losing everything rather than based on source material. Everyone who wants to immediately hate the show because it's another cash grab shut up. Robert Kirkman has the ability to create another side of his universe. Let's let him do it.
