The Chi
(2018)

Finally more minority actors showcased
It was excellent to see a series that can carry the plot with exciting, talented, and creative actors especially from the Chicago-land areas. The fact that it was truly a minority based movie is appealing to me and my friends because we wonder "where are all the black, brown, actors from this city and that live throughout the united states". The stories are relative and many of my friends considered it a top tv series and we hope that it continues to showcase the real issues that minority face: lack of housing, food desserts, educational challenges, need of community support for those wanting to go to college--show kids how to think about higher education and maybe people in the neighborhood showing them how to enroll, acquire funds for college and grants a real conversation and storyline on moving our youth forward in education and maybe a story ine on how to get help with drugs and alcohol. A genius writer can pull off "how to solve" daily challenges while making the series exciting! You can do it!

Empire City
(1992)

Good movie
I liked the main actor. Lovely movie. I know it was shot in illinois and it features the city nicely would have liked to see more of the city as it is a fabulous backdrop for any movie shot in this great city. I liked Michael Pare, he is a good actor and very handsome to look at. He comes across mysterious like the old actors of the l930's and l940's can't wait to see him in updated movies. The lead actors seemed like they loved each other and they intertwined the the story well with their attraction to each other. Reminded me of old Chicago movies. I think I saw one hispanic female actress. Thank you!
