The Vast of Night
(2019)

Absolutely Horrible.
This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Comes off like a self-funded project you see on YouTube. Non-stop worthless dialogue for at least the first twenty minutes of the movie. Had to turn it off. No science fiction, drama or suspense as Amazon labeled it. This movie plays on repeat in Hell.

Another Life
(2019)

Exactly Like The Expanse Only Horrible
Imagine The Expanse if it were made by people you hate on YouTube and you have Another Trainwreck/Life. I believe the working title of this early on was Bad Acting vs Bad Writing With Aliens! I guess how awful this is explains no advertising pre-launch. It's pretty bad. I think CW would even pass on this. The story through an entire episode is just a giant crater. If it didn't suck so bad maybe not revealing what's going on wouldn't be annoying. It's basically first contact and a voyage to Fantasy Space Island or something. Very short on details that would make it interesting and instead we get all the characters showing us what bad acting is all about. The cast is largely people who've done good jobs on other TV shows so it's not that they're without talent. The special effects are a mixed bag. Some of the space journey effects like the star look nice. The spaceship internal set is horrible. The alien craft is disgusting. It seems poorly inspired by Annihilation but looks like old school TV static.

I'm still watching in hopes everyone dies or it gets better but the whopping 4 rating here is telling me to focus on the apocalypse. If you're a big SciFi fan and love all things alien including bad movies then you'll gladly watch this.

Fear the Walking Dead
(2015)

FTWD Is Now DWTF Show Gives Way To Gimple Garbage
Season 5 is turning out to be worse than the others. Amazing how they could ruin the entire Walking Dead franchise. They might as well sign up Adam Driver to fully mimic the current Star Wars situation. The show is constantly finding new ways to be stupid beyond belief. Who writes this trash? The plot is ridiculous. This could be great drinking game material, just take a drink every time a character does something moronic. On second thought I don't want to be responsible for your alcoholism because season 4 alone would leave you on skid row with a bottle of cheap wine. Don't say nobody warned you. Originally I wasn't going to add any spoilers but I can't omit them. Season 4 is literally about a crazy disgustingly filthy woman constantly trying to murder the entire group while they plead with her to allow them to help her. Over and over she tries to kill them all but even as she's shooting at children they beg for the ability to just take care of her. Maybe the showrunners are dyslexic and meant it to be called DWTF? Season 5 sees the group dedicating itself to helping others and begins by the entire group being tricked by strangers into losing their home and being caught in a new perilous predicament. I mean who could imagine that there might be dishonest people with bad intentions during the apocalypse? Credulity Squad to the rescue! .

IO
(2019)

This is why Netflix removed ratings
This is rancid garbage posing as a movie. It looked boring from the description but Netflix swore to me it was a 91% match for me! Netflix obviously removed the ratings system within Netflix apps to conceal just how bad some of their content is. Anyway, as others have said ad infinitum, bad science + bad script = very stupid boring movie. I imagine this movie is shown on repeat in Hell's only movie theater.

Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne
(2019)
Episode 6, Season 8

Put A Bow On Everything Right Now!
Pretty pathetic effort by the writers. Characters riding off into the sunset and intriguing character stories that made us love the series are discarded for the sake of convenience ruined this for me and many others. They should have focused smaller if they didn't have the time to do this broad last season at the level we've come to expect.

Occupation
(2018)

Probably The Worst Movie I've Seen In Years
This is the worst alien invasion movie I've ever seen and that includes super low budget YouTube only type productions. The story is poorly written. It makes no sense. The special effects are tragic. Fireworks from energy beams and costumes with floppy appendages that don't work. The highlight of the film is the love scene between a maybe 18 yr old girl and a hobo in a sewer tunnel in the rain while everyone in camp is not suffering the torrential downpour. A great movie to watch while drinking alcohol with friends.

The Dark Tower
(2017)

The Writers Of This Script Have Forgotten The Face Of Their Father
They attempted to reduce the story down to critical plot points from the books while simultaneously altering the plot points to make the story a jumbled mess. As a sci fi fan the movie is little more than a Lincoln commercial. As a fan of the books I'm disgusted. Don't waste money on this.

I Feel Pretty
(2018)

Amy Schumer Is Horrible
Chuck Schumer would have made this funny. Amy ruined yet another flick.

Condor
(2018)

Decent Rehash Of The Book
You're just not ever gonna recreate the magic of Max Von Sydow and Redford in 3 Days of the Condor but this isn't supposed to be that. This is an adaptation of the book 6 Days of The Condor and it's more than decent. I like the way they're taking topics and agendas from our present day to make it more relevant for some viewers. Setting up the conflict between those trying to change things for the better within the system and those who don't let morality ever get in the way is stuff we see at work throughout our intel agencies. I'm a little disappointed in the genius not actually doing anything smart or random. The subplots are piling up and it's starting to feel as if there's just too much going on. Some things, the fireplace complete with bearskin rug flashback, would be better off inserted into a tense moment between the characters involved. I'm not sure what to expect from Audience and AT&T/DirecTV. Mr. Mercedes was awesome and is supposed to return so maybe this has a shot at developing. Definitely worth watching for anyone into conspiratorial/DeepState drama and government kill squads.

Impulse
(2018)

A Good Show Episodes 1-3 Free To View
While the market is currently saturated with scifi and superpowered humans not all of those shows are made well. Impulse is made better than most of the other shows it competes with despite it likely being aimed at catching high school aged female eyes. The acting and effects are good. Characters are good. I thought this was a ripoff of Jumper but it's based on the same novel as that movie.

As a big fan of the genre, I'm pretty harsh towards a few Netflix series fight scenes that are abysmal and the entire inhumane Inhuman fiasco. None of that train wreckage to be found in Impulse. Production quality exceeds CW offerings, as well as The Gifted and AOS. It has the feel of a serious drama not a feel good teen show. No plugging in of the same shots of a location like you could catch the first season of Bosch on Amazon. If not for the music tracks at certain points I'd question the targeted demographics. Plenty of strong and intelligent female characters.

Containment
(2016)

Bad Acting & Cheesy Script
This is a horrible recreation of a great French show. Try Cordon and see the difference. The main character has another horrible fake Southern accent. Is there a shortage of American actors? It's pathetic and unfortunately matches the rest of the creation. Looks more like the soap opera Chicago Fire/PD/EMT/WXYZ garbage. Looks like a modeling conference. Nothing wrong with beautiful people but when it's at the expense of competence it becomes a joke.

Take those telling you how great it is with a grain of salt. It's cancelled after one bad season. Question the intellect of anyone who enjoyed this.

The Walking Dead
(2010)

The Watching Dead
This show has turned into worthless hot trash. From the baby talking junkyard gang, to the stupid hipster folk music, the show is nothing like the comic any more. If I have to see Rick sprayed down with water again I'm going to puke. There's a reason the ratings only continue to drop.

The Magicians: Will You Play with Me?
(2018)
Episode 13, Season 3

Horrible Season Finale
I'm amazed at how bad the finale was after such a great season. Feels like a total ripoff. All the smart, strong characters end up being stupid and dishonest? The only episode that I found lacking up until now was the Josh musical catastrophe. They took every interesting subplot and crumpled them up and threw it all into the trash can. I can't be the only person to be disappointed at Julia's becoming a god just tossed away.

After being around since before the first episode I'll actually think twice before watching next season. This type of sloppy work is usually seen when production is faltering or experiencing a shakeup. I prefer to not waste my time when there's no future in it or showrunners care so little for the audience.

The Titan
(2018)

Stupid stupid stupid script
Good cast. Good cinematography. Totally implausible script. Hey sign up for the humanity saving cutting edge experiment then act surprised when the experiment works. Ridiculous through two thirds of the movie. Also a Land Rover commercial which I don't mind. The phrase straight to DVD is now straight to Netflix.

Inhumans
(2017)

Calling Inhumans Hot Trash Is A Compliment.
I'm shocked this was released in theaters. I understand pilots can be bad at times but this show is weak. Bad special effects don't help the bad writing. The stunts are stunted like the maker's Iron HamFist on Netflix. The electronic versions of 60's hits playing make it pretty funny. There's a reason fans or ABC/Disney is downvoting negative reviews here. That reason is even Variety(who gave The Dark Tower a good review) went to levels I've never seen before to let it be known they thought Inhumans was pretty horrid. If I had to guess, ABC's attempt to draw in teen viewers who aren't familiar with the comics turned this into something you'd expect to find on ABC Family. Prepare yourself for the Chronicles of The Inhumans, or better yet don't. Unlike the low-budget scifi shows you can find around cable, this production doesn't understand its limitations. If you were disappointed by Agents of Shield this won't lift your spirits. Another bad Marvel production. Disney isn't very good at this.
