The Godfather
(1972)

I liked this movie!!!!!
If you're wondering why I put exclamation points after the headline, it's because I thought this movie was just another overrated pile of junk. Man was I wrong! This movie was quite good. Sure it isn't the greatest movie I've ever seen, but it's definitely in my Top 250! This should definitely replace boring THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION as #1 in the Top 250. It's about the Corleone family's criminal empire run by Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) and trying to pass it on to his son Michael (Al Pacino) You shouldn't watch this movie if you are under age 16 though. It's quite violent and no one under that age would understand it anyway. Definitely watch this movie. It is very well done.

Bedtime Stories
(2008)

This was a good movie
I bet any amount of money that I know why this movie is so underrated. It's because people planned it to be an Oscar-worthy film, which it is NOT INTENDED TO BE. It's just supposed to be a cute little family movie, which it is. Believe it or not, this movie was made by Happy Madison. Well anyway who cares what company made this movie let's get to the review sometime this century. The movie is very well done. I do admit some of the scenes in it were totally cheesy but who cares it's a kids movie it's not The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button or something. I do have to admit though even though I really liked this movie the plot is really stupid. Skeeter Bronson tells his niece and nephew bedtime stories, and they make changes to it, and whatever they say happens in Skeeter's life. But, again, this movie was not meant to win Oscars, so stop bashing it constantly.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
(2007)

Dark and bloody fun
This is another Tim Burton film, and not surprisingly Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter are the two big roles. Believe it or not this is a musical. There's lots of singing in it. Anyway the movie is about a barber named Sweeney Todd who was imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. He gets away with a guy named Anthony. Sweeney learns that his wife got raped and eventually died, and his daughter is God knows where. Enraged by this, Sweeney goes on a killing spree, opening his barber shop and slitting the throats of guys who come in, in hopes of killing evil Judge Turpin (Alan Rickman) who got him into this mess in the first place. In the end he does succeed in killing him, by stabbing him in the neck repeatedly before finally slashing his throat and sending him down the trap door. A kid kills Sweeney later (sorry I forgot his name) The movie has great special effects, but parents beware. This movie is very bloody. Otherwise you'll enjoy this movie.

The Dark Knight
(2008)

Overrated and very boring
I don't mean to hurt the feelings of fans of this movie, but I simply hated this movie. I only understood and was interested in it for about a half an hour then I got extremely bored. The movie is extremely confusing, and overrated. I only got into the action for one scene in this whole movie. Seriously. Since people were sad about Heath ledger's death they all gave it high ratings in order to get it into the top 250. And #7?!?! Man, society today has changed drastically. Go watch the Batman movies with Michael Keaton. And Batman Forever. Do whatever you can to avoid this trash, despite it's extremely high, undeserved rating.

The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie
(2004)

Good the first 1 or 2 times, after that, blech
This movie was great the first time I watched it.

It got lamer the 2nd time I watched it.

After that it's just lame.

All the jokes are so predictable, and even the flag in Patrick's butt-crack isn't funny anymore. Everything is boring, especially considering that the plot was not really developed from the start. Watch this movie once to get a good laugh, avoid it at all costs after that. Trust me. I won't steer you wrong. Buy a season of the TV show on DVD instead. You'll have more fun with that than you'll have with this movie.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
(2009)

This movie rocked
Ice Age Dawn of The Dinosaurs is the third Ice Age movie, and it is way better than both of them, considering that Ice Age was terrible, and Ice Age 2 was a bit mediocre. I thought this movie was going to be good, but it is better than I thought. It is great. The movie is about the animals from the second film, but Ellie the woolly mammoth is pregnant. Sid the sloth finds 3 eggs and they hatch, and Sid claims he is the mom of the baby dinosaurs. The real mom dinosaur takes Sid and her babies away, and the animals must get Sid back. They also meet a weasel like animal thing named Buck. I really liked this movie. The animation was good, and it was funny. Sid is also a total moron, which makes this movie very funny. In conclusion, you should definitely take your kids to see this movie. It is very cute and funny.

The Good Son
(1993)

This movie was great
Before I saw this movie I had a strong feeling that I was going to like it. I was wrong. I loved it. It's about a boy that is visiting his aunt and uncle (he is played by Elijah Wood) and their son is a nut. (played by the Home Alone kid Macaulay Culkin) He drowns his brother, kills a dog, and attempts to kill his sister by throwing her onto thin ice while they are ice skating. He also attempts to kill his own mother in the end, but she survives. The boys almost fall off a cliff in the end, but the mom lets go of Macaulay Culkin's character, letting him plummet to his death, while she keeps the good kid (Elijah Wood). The sad thing is nobody believes Elijah Wood is telling the truth, and they believe the bad kid, who is Macaulay Culkin. I thought this movie was great, and forget its R rating. This movie really should've been rated PG-13, what was the MPAA thinking? Oh well. This is definitely a must-see for fans of thrillers.

Land of the Lost
(2009)

It doesn't deserve all the abuse it gets, but isn't exactly perfect
I had very high hopes for LAND OF THE LOST, although I think the TV show was a total snooze-fest. First, you got will Ferrell, and I am a HUGE fan of Will Ferrell. Second, it looks like a combo between JURASSIC PARK, INDIANA JONES, Monty Python, and David Letterman from the trailer. When I saw this movie at the theater I was quite impressed but was let down a bit. One, even though I don't have a kid or plan on having one anytime soon this really was not for little kids. There's a lot of crudeness in it, it's not as crude as JACKASS but is still not really suitable for anyone under age 12, plus a mouthed instance of the F word. Second, the redneck dude was not funny. You know how in action movies there's usually an annoying sidekick, butt buddy to the hero? Well Danny McBride was Will Ferrell's butt buddy in this movie, and I just didn't find him the least bit funny. Otherwise, the movie was pretty good. On IMDb I'd give it a 7.4, but don't let your little ones under age 12 see this, or you'll be cursing yourself out for letting them see it in the first place.

Dora the Explorer
(2000)

My god, this show is TERRIBLE
This has got to be one of the worst shows for little kids ever created, up there with "Ni Hao Kai Lan" and "Go Diego Go". My little brother LOVES this stupid show though, which is OK for a 3 year old, but I hate this show for a few reasons.

One- Dora yells nonstop. OK we get that you want to get to the stupid blueberry tree so shut up already. That's basically like me writing LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME.

Two- The Swiper scenes. Dora tells your child to say "Swiper no swiping!" and 95% of the time he stops in his tracks and says "Oh man!" If a robber ever tried to steal something from you if you said "no swiping" like they would really stop? NO. How unrealistic and dangerous to teach little kids.

Three- The plot is just stupid. Here's the plot for every episode. Dora plans to do something. Dora needs to figure out something or get something from a place far away. Dora does mindless tasks to do whatever she wants to do. That's it. Curtains. How lame is that? Therefore, you should not watch this show, and if you have a choice between watching this show for a whole day and burning yourself with fire, pick the burning. That will be more fun than even glancing at this horrible show.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian
(2009)

Funny movie
This movie is far, far better than the first. In this one, a vengeful pharaoh wants a tablet so he can resurrect an army. He's pretty nuts. Also, some of the old exhibits from the first movie are being shipped off to the Smithsonian. Ben Stiller's character Larry must stop him from doing so. Characters from the first film have returned (Dexter the monkey, Teddy Roosevelt, etc) and some new ones have made their debut (such as Amelia Earhart and Able the monkey) It is quite funny, and a good movie for kids, although I am a teenager and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I suggest you watch it unless you hate kids movies, which is a lot of people.

South Park: A Very Crappy Christmas
(2000)
Episode 17, Season 4

Good episode!
This is an episode of South Park from season 4. It's about the 4 boys wanting to wish Mr Hankey The Christmas Poo a Merry Christmas, so they make an animated movie, which is basically "The Spirit Of Christmas", an old animated short Trey Parker and Matt Stone made back in 1995, which started South Park, which can be seen on the South park Hits DVD. Anyway, I liked this episode a lot. It's not one of the top 10 best, but it still is pretty good. Definitely worth watching online or on the season 4 DVD set (which I own, actually I own every episode of South Park)

ALF: Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue?
(1986)
Episode 8, Season 1

One of the best episodes of ALF!
This is an episode from the first season of ALF, made in 1986. It's about Lynn going out with a guy named Scott, and ALF has a little crush on Lynn, so ALF feels hurt. ALF decides to use Scott's band equipment to make a music video for Lynn, with his own song "You're The One Who's Outta This World" in the video. Before that though, ALF tries to ruin Scott and Lynn's date by insulting Scott. When Lynn watches ALF's video, she is touched and she kisses ALF. The whole episode is very cute, and one of the best episodes of ALF. I recommend this episode to any ALF fan, or anyone, since it is one of the best episodes It is very funny, and is probably my second favorite episode of ALF.

South Park: AWESOM-O
(2004)
Episode 5, Season 8

The best episode of season 8
AWESOM-O is a very funny episode of South Park from season 8. The plot is that Cartman wants to learn all of Butters' deepest secrets, so he pretends he is a robot and befriends Butters, and like the idiot he is Butters believes AWESOM-O is really a robot. Cartman aka AWESOM-O almost gets destroyed, but then he reveals he is really just a boy, so Butters gets mad and shows everyone a video of Cartman dressed as Britney Spears making out with a photo of Justin Timberlake. The whole episode is very funny, and I suggest you watch it if you are a fan of South Park, even if this is the only episode from season 8 you can get.

Smurfs
(1981)

Another great 80's TV show
Smurfs is a cute little show about little blue guys that live in their own little place. I thought this show would be corny, boring, animated cult TV show when I first saw advertisements about it in 1992, but when I actually watched it I loved it. It is cute, funny, and spawned some great Smurf merchandise (like the little-known Smurf Racer game for the PSOne) This is up there with ALF, The Chipmunks, and The A-Team as the greatest TV show of the 1980's. A funny show the whole family can enjoy. You should definitely watch this no matter what your age. This is one of the best TV shows ever.

Full House
(1987)

Aaugh! Make it stop!
Seriously. This is one of the most stupid family shows of all time.

Plot- A family without a mother and 3 "dads" raise 3 little girls in San Francisco, California.

Characters- Neat freak Danny, cartoon loving Joey, hair obsessed Jesse, spoiled brat Michelle, stupid DJ, and almost normal Stephanie. The creators of this show really want you to hate the characters, don't they?

Therefore, I do not think anyone should watch this show. I only chuckled at a few moments in the show's whole running, and I think that instead of lethal injection, all criminals should be forced to watch this show, a torture far worse than anything else.

Pong
(1972)

Very primitive and boring, yet so addictive...
This is a very simple game, the first popular video game. The concept is that you move a paddle and hit the ball to the CPU or another player. The first to score 11 points wins. Very simplistic and boring. This game is addictive for about an hour, but after that you'll be bored with it, yet oddly it is not as boring as 1984's Duck Hunt, especially since all you do is move the paddle around. Play this only if you get the chance, otherwise you're not missing out on much at all, unless you're really into really old old school games, and even if you are you'll be bored with this.

Step Brothers
(2008)

Very funny movie!
I thought this movie was very funny. Will Ferrell did a great job and so did John C. Reilly. It's about 2 guys who move in with each other when their parents get married, when hilarity ensues. The movie is very very funny, and great for Will Ferrell fans. It is a bit inappropriate though, not recommended for anyone under age 14, yet most jokes will just go over a younger kid's head. I recommend you see this movie unless you hate Will Ferrell.

Rating: R for pervasive language, some comic violence, and crude & sexual humor/content.

The Simpsons: Hit & Run
(2003)

A cool Simpsons game!
The Simpsons: Hit And Run was made 2 years after Crazy Taxi spoofing Road Rage way back in 2001. This one is more fun and challenging. I'll tell you the main gist of it now.

Characters- Pretty much every character from the show Plot- Play through missions on foot or on wheels as many Simpsons characters.

Animation- Blocky and aging, but still cute, colorful, and fun looking.

Sound- Psychedelic.

Buy this game. Definitely. It is great unless you don't like too much challenge in a car game, but otherwise play this good game.

Chicken Little
(2005)

A cute Disney movie, but not exactly a classic
This is a CGI Disney movie. It is cute, funny, and a nice little movie. A few flaws rest in it though. It is about a chicken who is hit in the head by an acorn, well he has a conniption, claiming that the sky is falling, alarming the disbelieving town. The townspeople find out he just has an overactive imagination, and they think he is just a foolish little chicken. Well later in the movie him and his friends find out aliens are invading, so they stop them in the end. That's it really. I like this movie a lot, but its silliness annoys me a bit. If you like kiddie movies like this one, be my guest and see it. Otherwise, you probably will not like this movie, so don't bother with it then.

The Ren & Stimpy Show
(1991)

Classic Nick at its finest
The Ren And Stimpy Show is a very gross animated comedy made for kids by Jon K- whatever the rest of his name is. It was ruined by adult cartoon hungry producers who turned it into Ren & Stimpy: Adult Party. That show was all right I guess, but the original show is by far the best.

Characters- Well there's the anorexic, hyper, uptight chihuahua Ren and the funny, stupid cat Stimpy, along with many other rather gross and/or classic characters (i.e. The Powdered Toast Man, Muddy Mudskipper, Mr. Horse, etc)

Plot- The two animals listed above have gross misadventures in this classic and nostalgic series.

Animation- Nice, 1991 feel that makes you feel good and nostalgic.

Therefore, if you're not into juvenile humor, stay away from this. Otherwise, watch this! 9/10 or: A-

The Simpsons: Road Rage
(2001)

A great look at arcade classic Crazy Taxi
The Simpsons: Road Rage is a quite good game. It has some flaws, but redeeming qualities as well.

Characters- Bart, Homer, Marge, Lisa, the whole enchilada of characters from classic animated show The Simpsons

Plot- Basically Crazy Taxi, Simpsons style.

Animation- Good for 2001, not that special looking for today's standards.

Sound- Average. Not bad, not good.

If you like The Simpsons and/or Crazy Taxi, definitely play this game. You will most certainly like it. Otherwise, give it a whirl if you can find it cheap, but other than that don't play it.

8.5/10 or: B

Duck Hunt
(1984)

Boring game
Seriously. This is probably the most boring NES game I have ever played. It beats out Yoshi's Cookie for one of the worst Nintendo games made. You basically shoot ducks with the gun thing, boring. If I wanted a light gun game type of thing I'd buy House Of The Dead 2 & 3 Return on the Wii or just go to Funtime America and play classic gun games such as CarnEvil and The House Of The Dead. This game is overrated and very very boring. I only recommend this to people wanting to waste their lives away, unless you're just playing for pure nostalgia, which I have none for this game.

Matilda
(1996)

Hilarious family movie!
Matilda is definitely a great family film. It's about a little girl named Matilda (played by MRS DOUBTFIRE's Mara Wilson) that is treated cruelly by her parents (Danny Devito aka the director of this film and Rhea Perlman) and her disgusting, abusive principal Ms Trunchbull (Pam Ferris) and adored by her sweet teacher Miss Honey (Embeth Davidthz) The movie is very cute and funny, and is definitely a good movie that the whole family can watch together without scenes that you must hide your children for. A nostalgia inducing, fun filled time that you will enjoy, no doubt.

Arthur
(1996)

Great show that anyone can watch
Everyone may think that Arthur is just a silly kids show about friendship that kids love but adults hate, but that is not necessarily true. I like this show a lot, and I know many adults that love this show. It is about an aardvark named Arthur and his friends and family in misadventures which make up the episodes. It may sound stupid and boring, but I happen to think that this show was awesome. It is a great show for nostalgia and just a heart warming show that anyone can enjoy. Recommended for anyone and everyone. From ages 1 to 100. This show definitely delivers.

Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties
(2006)

Horrible sequel to what was originally a very good movie.
If you read my review for the first Garfield movie, you would remember that I said that very little hopes for it were crushed, right? This one crushes pretty much every hope I had for it. Garfield is now in England, and an uptight British cat that looks a lot like Garfield is there too. They switch places so Garfield gets royal treatment. I thought this movie was going to be great, but I was wrong. It is boring and I only laughed at a few scenes in this whole movie. I do not recommend this to anyone who hates kid movies or wanted a good sequel to the first Garfield. This movie bites.
